		Elegy Texture Notes

This archive contains 3 different textures that are intended to be used in GTA-San Andreas for the Elegy car. All the textures are based on a sky/space theme. To preview what they look like, check out the included jpegs. When installed, you must go to the Wheel Arch Angels shop in San Fierro to apply one to the car. If you already have a customized Elegy in a garage that has the paint job you're going to change, you don't have to go the shop - it will get the new skin without doing anything else.

To install any of these files you need to use a program that handles the .img file format, such as the GTA-SA Ultimate Editor. First of all, you might want to back up your original 'gta3.img' file somewhere before doing any editing if you're new to this kind of stuff. Run the editor program then locate and load the 'gta3.img' file. It will be found somewhere like 'C:\Rockstart Games\GTA San Andreas\models'. In the Find box, enter 'elegy'. Select from the list below the box the Elegy[num].txd file you want to change. At this point, you can click on 'Export' if you want to save a backup of the original texture. Next, click on 'Replace' and go to the directory where you unpacked these files then load the file. Repeat the process for each one you want to replace. When done, make sure to click on 'Rebuild' to avoid any problems. Now run the game and try out the change.

Well, there you have it... Enjoy! If you have any questions or comments you can contact me (Ranxerox) at: ranxerox23@gmail.com. Try not to be too critical - this is my first attempt at doing this sort of thing.

If you're curious, the tools used to create these textures are:

	- Paintshop Pro Photo X2 to create the artwork
	- GTA-SA Ultimate Editor 3.06 to edit the gta3.img file and extract/change the .txd files (Thanks to ThaKilla(wackedout@mindless.com))
	- Txd Workshop 4.5 to edit the .txd files (Thanks to jernejcoder@gmail.com)

Feel free to distribute this archive to other sites, but please keep all files together and remember to give me credit!
