That said, I hope Chris, webmaster and staff can pay some attention and hopefully remove these current threats. I like to feel safe clicking on something.

I would like to suggest an idea of a new Achievement System, now I use to be a webmaster myself, so yeah and I have seen this been done before.

Well I would to suggest that each award is worth 10G whatever 50G (numbers and G'S are variable)

so that we get awarded for getting awards.And your points would be shown above your username when you make a post.

Now I know this is possible because I have seen an Xensforo (I believe it's spelt) forum board do this, I'm sure there will be a developer who would have developed some type of plugin for I.P. Board.

The benefits are huge though! We would have a community were people would want to get as many achievements and points then everybody else, there friends maybe? There enemies maybe (lulz)?

Anyways you wouldn't have to do (G'S) as Xbox 360 does but yes it could be anything Trophy Points? Reward Points? Anything.

Why do our mods need to be approved by you?

It's a safety and integrity measure. If we didn't approve/check mods ourselves, people could upload viruses and other malware and we'd be responsible for distributing it.

On a less serious note, some people upload truly awful and poorly made mods that we simply do not want in our database.

Why hasn't my mod been approved yet?

We get a lot of mod submissions. It takes time to check each mod is what it's said to be, and that the file contains no viruses. A huge problem is with people uploading mods they've downloaded from other websites that they didn't actually make themselves. This means we often need to check the uploader is also the actual author of the mod. A backlog thus builds up since we can't check every minute of everyday, and so we end up missing genuine mods sometimes.

I've waited more than 48 hours and my mod is still not approved, can I post here to bring it to your attention?

Sure. If you're adamant your mod is worthy of inclusion in our database, and you are the one who's made it, then post the name/ID of it here and we'll check it out as soon as we see your post, and hopefully approve it.

My mod was unapproved/deleted. Why?

Reasons why this may have occured:

• Not your mod - file will either be deleted or attributed to the real author
  
• Duplicate - the mod is already in our database
  
• Contains virus / other malware
  
• Mod was very badly made, no readme etc. - also if you drew over a skin in MS Paint... we hate those :/
  

Is there any way I can skip the mod approval process?

Yes there is actually. Authors with 3 or more files already approved will automatically bypass the process and have files immediately appearing in the database. This is in place because we believe that if you already have this amount of mods then in all likelihood you're a trustworthy person. Of course, should you then break the rules regarding mods you'll be warned or even banned and risk having some/all your files removed.

What rules are there for uploading mods?

You'll find these above the upload form.

Why can't I delete screenshots or change the category of my mod?

These limits were originally put in place to prevent abuse. i.e. people deleting all screens of their mods so people don't know what it looks like in game, or moving their mod to an inappropriate category so it's not easily found. Screenshot removal is something that will be added in the future though.

In the meantime, if you need screenshots removed or the category changed, PM Chris on the forums and ask.

I see the postings still here, we had our webmaster locking rather then deleting threads, his reasoning is that all user content adds to website activity that looks good on paper, but to me it's an absolute eye sore, can't stand it.

Regardless of website hits or activity, if it's garbage, it's garbage! haha

Wanted to comment on that, just so you know my feelings. I got some YouTube comments the other day came out of nowhere, and just wisked them away thanks to Google's management for accounting there, blocking and deleting made very easy to do. 

Some of the sign ons we got, even though they're suspect as to authenticity, nothing was posted, so we left them as members who signed on, but I still have serious misgivings about whether they are interested in Grand Theft Auto, gaming, or anything, really

But now everytime we get news on GTA V we get like 3-5 comments, and the forums section is even more dead. So what happen to this site?? Did everyone just moved to the GTA forums or whats going on??

These ''detected viruses'' are coming from mods. ( No Suprise there).

So I say you guys put downloads on a different domain.

Well, I am not sure if any of you know of this issue.

But there are some people on the internet, who have a very nice good computer, and have wrecked up there's before, so they only go on safe websites marked by antiviruses link scanners.

And, basically, these people probably are avoiding this website. A lot of GTA Fans play on the PC, and if your PC is good enough to play GTA, then I do not know who will be willing to wreck there computer.

Well, I can edit the videos for you guys. I have some experience.

You should make weekly videos and updates about information on your blog.

If I can get an Admin here to record themselves using a camera, we can make an offical YouTube channel or maybe just even speak into their computers microphone.. I have some knowledge about editing I can share and do for you.

By having weekly videos everyone will check this website weekly. And this basically sums it up for people who don't like/can't read.

I'd be happy to donate my time here, I am very active too. I know I'm new here but I can seriously help. As you can see I like graphics too
