  1. Everyone who was active in the old days was roughly the same age. To be honest, I reckon everyone just sorta grew up a bit and had to deal with life. Chris and Gerard got jobs, Spaz achieved spiritual enlightenment and ascended to a higher state of being, Sky got married () Urbanoutlaw probably got on his Harley and went on an actual rampage (nothing personal if you ever get round to reading this dude, just.. dat beard.) The likes of Noru, Jace, Red Devil, TNF, JayD, whoever Scott is (only know him via facebook now) edit: oh lol you posted above, sup dude? went to uni. Even the crazy people who turned up to troll occasionally dropped off the face of the earth. (Old staff / elites? who was the guy obsessed with Nascar? And the guy who was gonna like give up TV and shit? I lol'd) Dom's working on other projects and is kinda around. Ivan, Ciaran, Pilk, GTADON, Spidervice and WRX22B... Yellowjacket, OGTAM idk what happened with them. I know at least one of them's alive. We had a freakin' sweet community at one point. There were sour spots, back when the flame pit (idk what it was called) existed. But it was mainly everyone vs spaz and he never threw his toys out the pram about it . Harwood got banned which was probably pretty harmful to activity since he had some strong friendships but I honestly can't remember why that happened so I can't say for sure. Feels good to reminisce, and as much as I'd love this community to elevate back to where it was, and think it still could, the general standard of internet personality / behaviour is far lower than it was in the day.

  2. Making the rounds in the news today and this past week have been stories regarding the supposed release date of GTA V, following the leak of a Rockstar North employee's CV. Understandably this spread like wildfire after the CV revealed GTA V's release date to be October 2012. Why is this a problem? Well, the CV isn't real. We've heard from an actual Rockstar source that it's a falsified document. And upon further investigation this appears to check out. The "leak" appears to originate from a so-called "fansite", which consists mostly of completely made up information on GTA V. The site in question is GTA-V5.com, owned and operated by one Dan Neil. Before moving to this domain, Neil had previously written at least two articles on his blogspot site consisting of fake information and claimed it was leaked from Take-Two [1] and [2]. We should point out that Neil's blogs are plastered with advertising, including promises of a free copy of GTA V, alongside other questionable affiliate based adverts from a UK company called JeebiesFreebie.com, which we would advise you all to stay away from; we don't think you'll be getting any free games. Update: Another site, GTA5videos.com, may also be responsible for some of the rumours being created. Creating a CV containing non-public information and using a real employee's name and details is a downright stupid idea. This could easily land the employee in hot water with Rockstar, who at the time of the leak, may not be aware it's not actually real. Unfortunately given the nature of this information, a number of major gaming news outlets picked it up causing it to spread even more. Rather amusingly, Neil also reported on his blog that Rockstar Games took down GTANet, the largest GTA fansite, following the leak being posted on GTAForums. It is laughable that anyone would believe this - Rockstar would never take down legitimate GTA fansites, especially not those they officially recognise and invite to events. The real reason the network was down was simply due to some issues that occurred from a server migration, nothing more, and at the time of posting this, appears to be back online. The likes of OXM and MCV and indeed a number of other reputable networks don't seem to care much for journalistic integrity these days, and it seems that sadly they'll post anything any random newly created blog gives them. So folks, if you do see some rumours being posted that are reported to have been "leaked" from a Rockstar/T2 employee, please apply some critical thinking and look at who originated the leak. Hint: If it's from some ad-filled blog, it's not going to be real. And one final note, Take-Two are at E3 mainly for the new Borderlands game, not GTA V.

  3. This thread holds all the rules of the forum. While we try to present ourselves as being a fairly laid back community, there are of course some explicit rules which are here to keep everything friendly and the forums running as smoothly as possible. No Spamming - Pretty obvious, but don't make spam posts outside of the Fun & Games forum. This includes posts of just a few words, or not relating to the topic in any way, posts containing just smilies, or just random nonsense. No Flaming - This includes insulting, racist, sexist or homophobic remarks, and outside of the Warzone forum this is not acceptable. No pornography - We like to keep the forums relatively family friendly. Members found posting links to or any pornographic media will be dealt with accordingly No warez - Discussion about illegally obtaining copyrighted material is strictly forbidden No Multiple Accounts - Unless you have a legit reason for creating another account, you should not be using more than one to post here. Members found using multiple accounts will be disposed of. No Advertising - Do not make topics/posts to advertise your website, or worse, advertise by PM'ing other members. Links in your sig are fine. No impersonation - Impersonating people such as R* employees, or trying to disguise yourself as another member is not allowed. No staff backchatting or ordering - Don't order staff around with orders like "close this topic" or "delete this post please" - The staff already know how to deal with this and will take care of it. Also, if a moderator/admin tells you to, remove your oversized signature, for example, then you must do so, don't argue with them. Staff have authority. You don't. Guidelines Keep on topic - Try to keep on topic at all times, when you go off topic (OT) it makes other people go OT too and then we get a topic full of posts unrelated to the OP's (original poster). Signature And Avatar Rules An avatar is a little picture you can have beneath your user name when you post a message. A signature is a message or picture that will be automatically added onto the end of each post you make Max Signature Size: Width - 500 pixels Height - 200 pixels Size: 100kb Max Avatar Size: Width - 100 pixels Height - 100 pixels Size - 30kb If your signature is larger than the specified you will be notified by a mod and be given 24 hours to change it. If it is still unchaged after 24 hours it will be removed and a message left in place of it. Breaking any of the rules set out here will result in administrative or moderative action being taken on your and/or your posts. Generally your topic will be locked or deleted, and you will be warned for repeated offences. Depending on the severity of offence and habitualness of them, you may receive a suspension or a permanent ban. We reserve the right to remove you from the forums without giving any prior warning. You should of course follow basic 'netiquette' when posting on these forums. i.e. you shouldn't be posting in AIM/MSN speak or whatever. Just type natural English with good spelling and grammar, and remember we are an international forum, so not everyone speaks English as their first language and may have trouble understanding you. If you're new to forums in general, it's probably best you lurk for a while, just to get a feel for how things are done, before you start posting yourself. Using the search feature should be your first action when you're looking for a quick answer to a question you have, or browsing the first few pages of the related subforum. Do this before starting a new topic, as this will make sure we don't get forums full of duplicated topics. A Note About Bumping Topics If you've found a topic in which the posts were all made a long time ago, you should ask yourself this question before replying. Is this topic useful and/or will other members appreciate me bringing this topic back up to the first page? Now if the answer to this is yes, then you're fine so long as your reply is on topic and somewhat meaningful and/or insightful. There's no point bumping a topic and just saying "thanks for the info". If the answer is no, then there porbably isn't much point replying. Bumping old topics which aren't on the first 2 pages of a forum without a worth reply will usually result in the locking of the topic, and/or your post being deleted. You'll be warned for repeat offences. As long as you use a bit of common sense when using these forums you should get on just fine. We want the forum to be clean and fun, so abiding by these rules will help in the continual running of this place. So enjoy the forums and enjoy the community! A more in depth guide for newbie members can be found here in the near future, which explains in more detail about terminology and other important things.

  4. This forum, believe it or not, used to be very active! I firstly joined here around 2004/2005 when I was a mere 13/14 years old and I'm still here even after a few banned accounts. I do distinctively remember this forum being active with a working gang system, and a kind of community feel. I also forgot about this forum perhaps with age, now being 22, after I joined here years and years ago. People just move on and have things to do...I have work and a girlfriend so I don't get much time to even just play GTA let alone come and post on here. I also have an account on GTAforums but I'm not a huge fan, I used to prefer it on here. Gone are the days of the orange/grey skin and GTA San andreas being the latest GTA to hit the market. This place provides good memories and many wasted hours. Chris and co have done a wonderful job maintaining the forum and website despite their being very little users.

  5. Your CPU isn't exactly top notch ether, my advise: swap that before the GPU. A good GPU without a good CPU will get you eye candy graphics but shitty peformance.

  6. If I had the opportunity to own McDonald's corporation I would not hesitate to shut the entire thing down. Internationally. I know that would cost millions of jobs, but the BILLIONS of dollars McDonald's has would immediately be donated to all the small-time really good burger joints across the country. Take that, fuckin' Clown!

  7. It is all going to kick off in a big way when this is released...it looks amazing! I like the idea of 3 protag's, I LOVE how huge they say the map is going to be, think most of us are going to get lost, there wont be any knowing every street off by heart like in Vice and SA! Cannot wait!

  14. Collection 78 Cars Mods [A-Z] Video: Download links and credits in description!
    2 points
  15. I typed the below first... But I have now decided for you people with sore eyes... I'll give a lil quick list of what the below explains in detailed mode Spawn Cars. Change car colour/paintjob. Use 'Speed Keys' to gain full control of your vehicle. (Get from one side of map to other in 15 secs) Add/Remove Hydraulics and add Nitro! Add multiple car bombs (As many as desired) to your car and detonate them with 10 second timer! Take over the world and hack the CIA database. Take over San Andreas and control the game! Activate functions in the game without having to Alt+Tab! Easy interface. Game will go slow-mo while using menu so you dont waste precious in-game time. View all the cheats for the game and have the abillity to type them in slow-mo so you can enter a cheat faster than ever! Activate and deactivate any mods you've downloaded into custom slots! No CLEO knowledge required. Do all this and lots more! All without having to start up trainers and alt+tab out of the game! Change gravity, time, day and your stats! Teleport to places of interest or choose on the map where you want to go. The trainer is also a modpack of sorts... Many of my mods will be featured as add-ons to this trainer. Okay. Time to post my Work-In-Progress mod. Trainers are great as exe's but I find they usually lack some features and they also waste pc memory, require lots of alt+tabbing (Making gta open up slower each time) AND they dont run automatically when you start the game... Also, compatibillity with trainers has been a problem for me. Recently, the best trainer ever (GTASA Console) has stopped working on my PC even if I reinstall. So for that reason, I decided to look into how much I could do with CLEO. And it turns out, quite alot! At first I thought this was going to be a failure but after much coding and learning a few things... I carried on coding a script that changed your cars colour and paintjobs. It went well! I found that it was really simple, especially using external CLEO Scripts that are loaded by the main CLEO Trainer. So, I made a car spawner and took in some ideas from other trainers and coded them with a 90% success rate! So, now I've done quite alot and am onto the 2nd and 3rd parts of the trainer which handle the player and tells you cheats Unfortunately, due to some difficulty with memory hacking... I couldn't quite make the cheats auto-activate when you select them... But, it does something which I think is better instead... It gives you the cheats so that you can type them in yourself. PLUS, the trainer sets the game to mega-slow-mo (Almost paused) which means, you can find the cheat you want and type it in about 1.2 second in game time! The trainer runs .cs scripts in a subfolder which activate certain things and then close themselves. There's a few bugs but I find most correct themselves or are easy to work-around. Some scripts stay active until you toggle them off again (Via the Trainer's Menu) and let you do certain things while they are active. The thing I love about this above previous CLEO Trainers... Is that hotkeys are a done deal. There aren't really many hotkeys. You just press Ctrl + Backspace to open the friendly menu and select what you want. The only time there are hotkeys are if you enable them, or if you enable a function that lets you do things while the game is in play... Such as the 'Speed Keys' I've added which let you go fast in your car and jump it. Similar to GTASA Console although it may be harder to control... But it's pretty fun anyway Also, I'm working on a feature that lets you add CLEO Mods you've downloaded to the Trainers scripts directory... Then, you can actually load those mods with the trainer. What does this mean? Well, this means you can turn CLEO Scripts on and off without restarts of your game! You no longer have to reload your save game and you can add CLEO Mods while the game is in play. Wonderful, don't you agree? Bugs aren't too bad with this. I've only ever encountered 1 crash and 1 annoying thing... The 1 crash is when you try to open doors/boots/bonits of certain cars with certain things missing... But it's pretty rare. The annoying thing is that sometimes, the game will 'Forget' your car and render 'Speed Keys' or 'Guns on Car' scripts useless unless you reactivate them. Again, not something to worry about. Yes, this trainer does have the guns on car script... So, this is quite a breakthrough. I'm sure modders may find it pretty interesting too. And, I'm sure alot of people will perfer this to the average .exe running trainer... Also, a lil 'treat' for modders will be the fact that the trainer can activate/deactivate their mods on the fly. The problem would be, that some scripts wouldn't work well with the activate/deactivate function... But that also shouldn't be much of a problem. Ever wanted the 'Super CJ' mod but didn't want to have that power bar be there all the time? Ever wanted that script that makes your gun do something... But also wanted it to be the way it is without the mod? Well, this trainer should be the solution. Can't wait to post the done deal and hear your views on this mod. I'm not going to release many BETA's too soon as I want the first release to be feature packed. Any tips on what to add or if any expirienced modders wanna give a few tips... I'm more than greatful. I want this to be something that can really help alot of problems with using 20 different trainers, just to get the desired effect. Oh, and JUST in case you may be wondering... This trainer spawns cars and can control gravity... Okay, enough typing First BETA - 100% Complete... v0.6 BETA - 100% Complete... Version 1.0 - 70% Complete... Q: Why do you say it's one of the best trainers? It's not even a trainer!! A: The technical term for a trainer, is something that edits game values to make it easier. Which this does. [WIKI=Cheating_(video_games)#Trainers]Wikipedia[/WIKI]. But, the problem with memory address hacking is, although it may be able to do just about anything... There are alot of things that are unique to this style of coding and CLEO. Also, this is packed with more features than any other trainer I've seen... So unless you can find a better one (Link please ) then this remains as one of or, simply... The best trainer for GTA San Andreas.

  16. I can get the email PW part of GTAForums, but I snuck on twice before, and it's not something they really take lightly. You have to get a legitimate staff assist, and I did once I was unbanned originally thanks to Waddy, Yep, that Waddy... Tim Waddington. He's contacted me both at GTAChronicles and Xbox Live and we're still on each other's XBL friends list, but he's a very quirky guy, not too talkative and long Absent without Leaves... hahaha I noticed some old names on GTAF just checking the official forum section, and it could have been by my own absence that some members came back, but I honestly NEVER got the hostility angle. I wanted everyone to be in agreement that GTA was one if not THE favorite game we all shared in common. It makes no sense to be a hater and not relate on any level. To add, someone within that little group of Bad Apples making life terribly difficult, and the cause for all the high blood pressure, he opined to me that I must gain his respect. That's the absolute wrong way of thinking. You give respect out of being a good person, despite how / or what you think about others, you can't know a person until you've walked a mile in THEIR shoes, and most will NEVER really know how that person feels or adjust to life, they can't expect to know that person from their inner-perspective. You can earn respect, but don't expect it! haha

  17. I'm sure some are mean on GTAF and didn't understand you or plain didn't like you but you often seem to feel attacked when you're not. For example, from my last post, you've gathered that I think it's hard to avoid your posts? Funky inductive reasoning can lead to false thoughts like that but don't you see how it supports what I'm saying? You talk about people being mean and mistreating you but in this case all that's happened is you've misread someone, because I'm not bothered by you. No one here is ostracizing you.

  19. Diversity is all we should hope for, I add things that I think tie into at least my idea of entertainment, if not related in some ways to Rockstar, GTA, or gaming as a whole. I wore out my welcome it seems on a number of older forums I'd joined, but keep in mind, the most vocal of ALL PARTICIPANTS will ALWAYS be those who object loudest. You never, or rarely hear from people saying things are going along great, and they have no qualms. It would help me and others to have some better online communication so that things aren't as easily misconstrued. However, what I abhor is people being mean because that's how they operate. They should have learned better when they were raised to treat people the way YOU yourself want to be treated. Keep in mind what you like in terms of others' appreciation and how they relate to you and endeavor to do the same. @Nate10, I figured we'd got off on the right foot here early on, but you seem to be bothered more then a bit by me at this stage. I probably asked you to join me on the gaming online segment (PSN, XBL) but I don't see you there now. The thing you seem to suggest is just posting frequently that it's hard to avoid my posts, well, I can avoid reading anything I don't share interest in, I suppose curiousity MIGHT get the better of you, but I put things in that may or may not get a reply because I don't expect the success we once had, and the amazing amount of replies one gets at GTAForums, that just won't happen anywhere else other then YouTube or Facebook, Twitter is still pretty active too, I think most people do prefer Facebook over all the other social networks. What I hate is all the damn email updates from both! They flood my in-box! hahaha

  20. I never thought of it from your perspective Slam. i'm sorry people have been such cunts to you in the past...but we barely know one another you and I, and if we get new members somehow, it's a different audience who won't look at you for your past but for what you offer in your life experience. Don't feel so down you old bastard, I don't hate ya. It's not your fault people don't post. I'm trying to post more tho..I've got some time on my hands. Keep your head up.

  21. Don't feel so bad dude, you're not alone with that one, for one thing. I know of friends who have Aspergers or some other form of autism, so I do feel you in that regard. People tend to condescend and mock at those in the spectrum, and that's mostly because they don't know how it feels like, along with the fact that the mainstream media sometimes portray them in a rather unfavourable light, I'm afraid.

  22. Considering how defensive you've become over some people not being interested in what you have to say, I think you fear rejection a whole lot more than you actually are subject to being rejected. You're false in assuming people avoid your posts to single you out, and even more false in thinking people can't choose to avoid you. I reject the notion I'm wrong without facts, or in partiality, correct. I also object to people calling me 'creepy' which they've done, at GTAForums in particular. It comes across as not liking people so you poll for a ban on them participating in a forum where all walks of life SHOULD be represented. I present the absolute truth to the best of my ability, but I am human, I also make mistakes. You and everyone else in the room and the World are privy to error. Yes, I'm lonely a lot of the time, my friends all have let life get in the way... of fun!! I'm blamed for lack of multiple users active posting, or not in so many words, I'd stay away from 4Chan on what I'd heard about it. I'm not a Jerry Springer Reject, as I was also called. I'm a loner in many ways because of asbergers I suppose. Also I'm an introvert in a public social setting. I use Twitter and Facebook but I don't like them as much as standard forums, but I learned to ween my participation from the earliest days, where I spent hours online at a forum like GTA or in Usenet tech chats, BCRich Handmade Forums, circa 2002

  23. GTA-Oasis was Mike aka PCguytech's original idea, with a welcoming approach to all GTA fans, we didn't like the animosity or fighting so I posted a mission statement of sorts. We changed the site at least three times due to server hosting issues and the site crashes cost us members, so yeah.... My favorite title was GTA-hole, LOVE IT! hahaha I'd still go with that name, but Mike chose GTAChronicles, we have a companion YouTube channel that's largely dormant, but we may still do something with since it's just in hiatus really. An addendum I related before about my prior user name (changed here to avoid all the fanatical haters) Slamman came about because I needed a alias for radio, not the Internet as might be assumed. In 1989-90 I was ingratiated by the late Earl Root to come in and share the radio mic on his METAL radio show in Minnesota (heart of Minneapolis location) and I did join his show on numerous occasions until his death in 2008. I keep his memory alive because he was an awesome human being!

  24. August 24th will be 20 years since Microsoft Windows 95 first entered the World's sub-conscious. It maybe a bit early to title the thread before the event and then it passes with much fan-fare as expected, and will appear titled incorrectly then!? haha Anyway, I was just stumbling on this factoid as I explored various computer retro articles online and pondering the new Windows 10. 20 years in the making of the modern desktop GUI! "pronounced Goo-ey" ...Well, I noticed too, it's January 24th, so it's the right day to post this! haha ;:~lp

  25. Back in 2011, we reported on some domains Rockstar had registered that we thought might be for GTA V. More recently, you may have noticed lifeinvader.com appearing on the official GTAV website, confirming our suspicions that it may be used for a teaser site. Today, Rockstar have launched an actual website for Lifeinvader, an obvious parody of Facebook. Clicking the logo or visiting the homepage will take you to a random profile on the site. You can login to the site using your Social Club details and "stalk" people there and comment, exactly as you do on Facebook. Many of the profiles contain screenshots, so spend some time browsing around and see what you can find. Interesting to see that you can stalk businesses for deals, we're hoping this actually applies in-game as it's an excellent point of integration.

  26. I chose to close it down, for a variety of reasons. For a period of about 6 weeks or so I did have a big message up on the site urging people to download a backup of their images as after this they would be gone forever. Sorry you didn't see that. The majority of good users of it were infrequent at best. Much of the frequent usage became hosting for random pornographic images. Basically I didn't want to be associated with it any more. It was never a very good image hosting site anyway, it was simpler than the likes of Imageshack, but it could never compete with today's giants like Imgur, which offers far superior image hosting to anywhere else. In addition to this, because of the type of content it had and the traffic coming from mostly third world countries, it was not economically viable for me to run. I was not able to earn any income from it which meant it was literally wasting my money away on the storage/bandwidth just so random people in third world countries could host some porn. So yeah I'm afraid it's gone for good. I did keep a full backup of the site for about a month or two after I shut it down, in case something like this happened, but I've since deleted that as no one ever brought it up. You are too late I'm afraid.

  31. There isn't much that's totally original, really, but they sure did a 'swell job at implementing it. The character switch mechanic is cool, although I've seen similar implementations before, it's just that R* put it to good use in V. And nice job with the pie/radial menu, too. *inb4 GTA5 HUD mod for GTA4*

  33. I believe making friends at work is the easiest, since I'm not too dang social and never have been, the people I got to know and eventually miss are more co-workers then school chums, you might note this to be fair and accurate the older you get, but it depends on a lot of things. I love my family because they know me best, or at least accept me above all, and we're all adopted anyhow, so let it be said, no matter how you don't get along, your family should be the closest human bond you have in life, I hope they know and appreciate the same! Broken families just shouldn't be, everyone should grow up with love and acceptance, we all have our own quirks we can't solve.

  35. Sherman speaks the truth. You work for your brother? That was a bad idea to being with, let me elaborate: To be good at your job you need to work under pressure, cause if you're too relaxed, you're not focused, and if you're not focused, you make mistakes. When someone you know well (a friend, a cousin, a brother) is your boss, you tend to feel comfortable. Now I'm not saying you took that job expecting to do nothing and have your brother take care of you, but can you say that you didn't feel at all relaxed about it? Eve a little bit? I'd be willing to bet you were. Maybe your brother hates you, or maybe him being a little severe (like all bosses, all good bosses) hit you in the face too hard cause you weren't expecting it. My advise: find a new job, preferably one where your co-workers are complete strangers. There's a mutual respect between strangers, something that doesn't exist (or is very different) between friends or relatives. A lot of people say it's a good idea to befriend your co-workers, and I agree. But relationshipts developed within office are different than the ones developed outside. It's a good idea to stay on good terms with your boss though it's best to avoid friendships. At the end of the day he's the guy who pays you to do shit, both of you need to remember that and friendship tends to get in the way. As far as parents go there's really no good advise anyone can give you. You know them best, if you can't deal with them, no-one can. Me? Bout' the time I started high-school I began to learn a lesson that I only fully understood recently. Just cause parents claim they want what's best for you, doesn't mean that's always the case. At the end of the day they are just human fucking beings, and all human fucking beings are selfish, some more than others. I could elaborate this too but I really don't want to, an advise: don't take that "what the f*ck you gonna do with your life?" crap seriously, they had no more idea than you do back when they were your age, I can almost guarantee that. There you have it, I know you probably didn't want career advice but if I were you I'd take whatever help I can get in this place It's a GTA fansite after all.

  36. Agreed. GTA4 is a CPU-bound game, so a weak processor will certainly bottleneck your GPU no matter how high-end it is.

  37. 1. Pick an American city where there are more criminals than in Europe and Asia combined. 2. Shrink it till it's 1/100 of it's original size. 3. Change the name to something suggestive, so that you don't get sued if someone goes on a rampage a few years later. 4. ??? 5. Profit.

  39. Why have some people taken the "No plans for PC release at this time" to mean it won't happen? Are you thick? It will. They will do it. Of course they will do it. Look at their history and understand the way things work. Chill out for 6-8 months from console release and you'll see a PC release. Just relax.

  40. I highly doubt rockstar would have neglected a PC release anyway, since the entirety of the GTA series that has been multi-platform (ie on both xbox/360 and ps2/3) have also made it to PC. They ported IV (to whatever standard) despite using an entirely new engine, and despite that fact that coding on that new engine for new systems was probably pretty draining. Yeah, we didn't get red dead, and we don't know why... but it was a new franchise and maybe the guys upstairs (T2) wanted it that way. Max Payne 3 made it to PC, and the port was apparently pretty good, with a handful of sources making comments about the loading times, (I happen to think if you complain about load times in a game you're an idiot but hey.) which indicates rockstar have had a little more experience with the engine and are prepared for a PC release. On top of this, not releasing to PC when the modding community is so prevalent is commercial suicide. GTA has one of the most dedicated fan bases there is, people still regularly play, create content for and make machinimas and so on for SA as well as IV. They're an intelligent company, very aware of the industry in which they operate and I think they know what the right decision is from both an image and financial standpoint. inb4hastilycobbledtogetehrragefromnomemberinparticularimeanfortheloveofgodgooutside

  41. I assume you're running with the integrated Intel graphics chip. It doesn't run GTA IV and there's nothing you can do, sorry :/

  44. Patience is a virtue. This link should come in handy. Outside of that, I can't really provide you with much, though we support and encourage modding heavily with the PC versions of the game, consoles tend to stray into a legal grey area, since the methods often involve hacked / chipped consoles that can be used to play pirated version of the (and all) games. My suggestion would be to visit a dedicated forum for this sort of thing.

  45. You need a tool like IMGtool, all you have to do is open up the file 'GTA3.img' in the 'models' folder of your San Andreas install directory using IMGtool. From there extract the following files. -tags_lavagos.txd -tags_latemple.txd -tags_laseville.txd -tags_larollin.txd -tags_larifa.txd -tags_lakilo.txd -tags_lafront.txd -tags_laazteca.txd -tags_lalae.txd Once you have these files in a safe place, download txdworkshop, open up each of these files individually in txd workshop and select 'export > to PNG' and save them somewhere safe. Then you can edit the PNG in your favourite image editing software, I use Photoshop, alternatives include GIMP. When you;re done editing, save the file back in the same format and place to overwrite the file, which will probably be called 'grove' or similar. Then use txd workshop to 'import' the edited image into the txd. Once you have your new txd with the logo you want, import it into the GTA3img file using IMGtool's 'add' command. After you have done this for all of the tags, save and rebuild the GTA3.img file and enjoy.

  46. Easily one of the most retarded laws the EU has brought about so far. They simply do not understand what cookies are actually used for in the majority of cases, and just because a few uneducated people are paranoid about it, they bring in a ridiculous law that forces website to show obtrusive messages to users. I dunno, the BBC had an article on this yesterday and this part... ...makes me think it's not such a big deal to be in breach of. I haven't actually read the law fully but I don't understand why all this emphasis in the news is specifically being put on UK websites. Why just the UK? If it's an EU law then what about all the other EU countries? Won't they be in breach of it too? My server is actually located in The Netherlands. So if this is just for UK sites then I'm technically exempt. So fuck 'em. Anyway, I haven't done anything about this stupid cookie law on any websites I run. We already have a privacy policy here on TGTAP which tells you exactly how we use cookies. We actually don't use anything ourselves aside from keeping you logged in if you tick the box to do that. Cookies for statistical purposes are handled by Google Analytics, and advertising ones (the ones people are paranoid about) simply serve you more relevant ads but again we don't even use these ourselves. Oh well, all people achieve by blocking cookies is ensuring they see less relevant and thus more annoying ads... I don't get why someone would want to do this, and why they have a problem with being served relevant ads. They seem to think people are spying on them, when in reality all that's happening is an algorithm is analysing data which no human sees. People are idiots.
