  9. damn.. trip down memory lane.. According to my profile I joined in January 2005, so I was 17 and a half. I remember I was looking for mods for Vice City and so stumbled across this site, and I emailed Chris congratulating him on great work on the website. I do want to apologize for all the shit that I posted lol, but nonetheless TGTAP will always be special to me, great friendships and memories came out of it and I'm happy to be here in 2020 and see that I'm not the only one still thinking about it.

  12. I wasn't even legally allowed to play GTA when I joined here because looking at my old profile picture of me standing on tower bridge, I must've been 13/14. Luckily the last thing I downloaded on my PC was someone trying to calm a potato down, so it is a fitting swap. I see a few names here that I remember! Hey there folks! It's been an age a while. Eh, since I was last active here? Jumps over 10 years in time. I finished high school, moved away from home briefly to go to university and study graphic design, which I've graduated in and working in retail now. I still play GTA, recently finished the story of GTA V again a week ago (so I could do some achievement hunting on console) but mostly I spend my life on discord or playing Overwatch these days.

  16. That's actually very recent, like the last 2 weeks or so. I don't know... we're on the latest version of IPB, we're using their anti-spam service, but it's useless, the bots still get through. Might disable registrations for a while, seems to be the only way to prevent them getting through. I had to check your username history and profile but yeah I remember. There are plenty of users I didn't talk to much one to one but at least recognise their usernames if they were frequent posters. I noticed a comment on my profile back in 2010 saying that you had added me on PSN. I rarely play PS3/PS4 these days but curious what your username there is? I'm guessing we never played anything together?

  17. The latest free DLC for GTA Online is out now in the shape of Cunning Stunts. Good news for everyone who likes to perform stunning... stunts in the game. Of course there's also the usual addition of brand new cars, clothing, accessories and whatnot. Unfortunately there's no way to create your own stunt races yet, though Rockstar have pointed out that this will be forthcoming on the 2nd of August, as well as more races and vehicles. If you want to win yourself some GTAV merch then Rockstar also have a sweepstakes open right now you can enter. If not, you could watch the trailer below, or you could read the full details on this update, or if that's not your thing there's always the full detailed patch notes.

  18. So yeah we're still alive... I know it's been a while since we last posted but no, we're not dead. Anyway, GTA Online is still going strong and Rockstar continue to provide free DLC updates for it. Next up is an update called Further Adventures in Finance and Felony. Today they released a trailer showcasing some of the new content. Check that out below. The DLC will hit your systems on the 7th June, and here's what Rockstar have to say about it.

  19. Rockstar news into the new year still centers on fan art and updates for GTAOnline, nothing new really. I didn't see any other mentions on this subject elsewhere, but I believe Rockstar and all, ALL game producers to be foolish if with new gen consoles and Intel AMD hardware for PCs, throw in the towel over their company roster of employees. The fact is, the hardware is better then ever, the games hint at great promise, I doubt anyone would want to cash in their chips based on the future of gaming versus the talent pool, that I'm sure will have to grow based on sheer size of the work, case in point being GTAOnline and Rockstar's other games. The actor from Vice City is the main wrinkle in the ointment regarding pay for services rendered, Thomas Vercetti lead voice talent; Ray Liotta http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Ray-Liotta/ He found out afterwards, of course, how much money the game would be making. Burt Reynolds also a hero for many kids my age, he managed to be a problem working with in the production stages.... but without them, GTA's Vice City would not be as awesomely great as it is, Rockstar had the right idea, adding known talent to older generational games upped the value of entertainment. Just as licensing real tracks did for it's radio and TV

  20. Agreed it's a major loss, a few key people who've been picked as spokesmen for Rockstar in the days of better gaming press, we got to know them for their candid remarks on Rockstar's secretive operations, and their noted credits in all Rockstar products, but also, as one of the lead people in the transition from Direct Mind Access software to Rockstar North as it was in the early 2000s. The sad thing is even though we respect the builders, It's been Sam Houser's stated mission to let the games speak for themselves, rather then Rockstar speaking for and about their games. We wish him well, but like Hennig leaving Naughty Dog not long ago, I have great hopes that both their input and aspirations continue to inspire both companies as a whole. Just as we hope Apple honors Steve Jobs in the years ahead, without his presence. I'll say this, I know the reports of harsh working conditions at Rockstar as a whole, it also caused internal friction for some time, most notably with Hot Coffee, since not everyone at the company was really onboard for the fallout and the way it went down, some left due to ever increasing pressure. I also believe the pressure is outward in the sense of keeping the A list titles from back-sliding in popularity. Bill Wyman left the Rolling Stones because he says he'd rather go out on a high and not hang in there to suffer any coming down point from the dreams of success he was able to realise in the band. Leaving on good terms but with a desire to do something else, and perhaps step out of the pressure cooker environment that both industries can be.

  22. Hi ! I'm a Gtasa modder from Romania, since our gta communities vanished or not used ( 0 members online) I decided to look for a foreign gta community in order to expose my mods and their famous stories...I say stories because when I usually build a mod for Gta Sa I start a story for it too(the romanians were soexcited with this ,they loved it ! but it lasted for 2-3 years after that the whole community was shut down along with my stories) I'm not sure if i started this new topic in the right place, but here it seemed suitable. First mod I'm gonna post is our classic romanian car, Dacia 1310 MLS which is a replica of the famous Renault 12 from France. The car is currently being restored after a loooooong break : Stay tuned for more ! Next time I'm gonna post the car's story(where it has been found,in what stage the restoration is,spare parts, her whole history & more ) Hope u will like it,if so,I'm looking forward to hear your own personal opinion.

  24. I have a similiar mod like yours, but almost everything is changed in my Vice. There are scripts, mods, graphics, cars, animations, weapons, audio, all new radio stations! City is changed too and retextured a bit. It's a mixture of NFS and FNF with GTA Gameplay. I can help you with your mod if you give me few things from yours like timecyc and particle.txd, plant mods and an airplane. In return, I'll give you 3 of my radio stations, you can choose which one you like And help you with modding your GTA,ofc More detailed at: http://www.thegtaplace.com/forums/topic/25130-gta-vice-city-2007-tc/ http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=448840

  25. How it all began... It all started at year 2007. I was just surfing through Vice data folder and found all this strange files... Run into carcols.dat and tried to open it via Notepad. And boy, was I happy! It made all sense, there were lines for an every car in the game, and next besides to them were bunch of numbers which I later have figured out that they were representing the colors for each car! I was thrilled I could make any car any color I'de like! Then came the enthusiasm which pushed me over the boundaries to try changing EVERYTHING what I want! Handling, wheels, textures, objects, city, audio, text.. There were NO LIMITS! Every day I was a step closer to make my dream game- a game which has a gameplay of a GTA, cars from Fast&Furious movies and NFS games, blasting music and crystal graphics!! Years were passing, while I slowly built my expansion. Possibilities were not so endless as I would like them to be, but with that what I got and with knowledge I collected myself, I think I made quite good and fun Total Conversion which I DO WANT to share with as many people I can! Thank you for your attention "What's in it for me?" Okay, the presentation part is very complex and would take a while to finish it. Let's start from the obvious, ok? -ENB Graphics Engine (Boris Vorontsov as the author, settings by me) It gives a game a masterpiece 'face-liftup' Thanks again Boris! See few examples of my: Bloom Bloor Occlusion Real Time Reflections Some more screenshots: *I will continue with the presentation soon, starting with graphics changes and describing vehicles and new codes. Until then,

  26. As we discussed earlier, we're introducing a new position to the forum, which will replace section moderators. A Forum Boss is responsible for the content of their subforum. They lead the other users, encourage good discussion, manage the pinned topics, and halt irrelevant or abusive discussions. This is different to moderators - Forum Bosses are not technically staff. They don't discipline or ban members, but they are responsible for the content. They have a range of moderator abilites to help them manage their subforum, such as closing, editing and pinning. Obviously different parts of the forums need different treatment (compare GTA IV with Fun & Games), which is why it's better to have different people looking after them. In most cases we will only give one subforum to a Boss, and only have one Boss per subforum. Anyone active can be a Boss, you just need to be able to tell quality topics, be able to lead discussions (whilst letting other people speak), and be trustworthy enough to wield the tools we'll give you. If you are interested in becoming a Forum Boss, please let us know in this topic. If you have any questions, ask away. ---- The first bosses have been selected: GTA IV Gameplay Discussion & Ballad of Gay Tony - Noru GTA VC Discussion - Thomas General Gaming - Mpilk901 Graphics & Writers' Pad - TM Vehicles - WRX22B1998

  27. It won't be a really full-on thing, since all the other subforums are doing it, the forum should (hopefully) be a generally more friendly place anyway. Whenever you're in a forum and you think 'FFS why are people arguing' - you can just come out with it without getting the 'stop trying to be a mod' thing thrown at you. Some people might not want that, and nobody's expecting anyone to want to do it.
    1 point
  28. It's not overly serious. It's for people who want to lead by example for the better. The responsibility is less than being a mod, and there's more scope to chill out and kick back elsewhere in the forum.
    1 point
  29. Seems like a pretty serious thing, I might be interested in being a Boss for the General Gaming Section.
    1 point
  30. Actually your explanation is pretty good - nice examples. I'll add that it's not just a case of enforcing the rules or doing what Chris thinks is right. We want different Bosses for different subforums because they'll treat it differently. You get to decide what is acceptable, and what people should avoid. You get to determine the culture of the subforum. It's not as simple as making a rule and forcing people to stick to it, but as Llama says there are a million ways you can do it.
    1 point
  31. If you were the boss of 'The Next GTA' it would be your responsibility to direct the subforum in a positive way. Say, someone makes a thread like this. You'd judge whether the topic was pin - worthy, based on how positively it's affecting the forum. Right now it's a friendly, practical poll, and a great way to share opinions and discuss. You'd pin this thread, maybe post something like 'Great thread [xxx], nice' then continue with your post. Say someone posts a thread like this, though. The guy is well entitled to his opinion, but you see that it might descend into flaming. If it was too late to steer the topic positively, you'd try and diffuse the flaming, just make a post asking people not to be so forthright and offensive with a new member. It's, in essence, your job to keep your forum looking the best, most positive, most productive it can be. Make sure people find what they're looking for, and de clutter anything that's having a negative influence on the forum. However, unlike a mod, who can just throw his weight around and delete member's posts if they're stupid, your powers would be limited to verbal actions, asking people to post more efficiently and conservatively, or encouraging good, positive discussion. edit: Grrr Gerard, spent all that time writing and you undercut me...

  35. I wouldn't mind being a forum boss in either GTAIV Gameplay Discussion or General GTASA Discussion since I view those more often. I don't usually post much but something like would get me to post a bit more around the forums. Anyways, if I had to narrow down between those two, I would have to pick GTAIV Gameplay Discussion.

  39. This announcement discusses a new download system being implemented on The GTA Place, please read through it thoroughly and leave any suggestions and comments you have. Thanks. The downloads system here at The GTA Place which we have been using for a good 3 years now is in need of a major overhaul. We are currently using a very heavily modified (by myself) version of paFileDB 3.1, a freely available script which has since received a number of upgrades to improve its features. We of course haven't upgraded, we can't, because I've modded it so much it would just break everything. Having said that, we do need to upgrade, but we are going to move away from paFileDB, instead we're going to take out what useful code there is (not a lot tbh) and then just code the rest ourselves. Now I refer to "we" rather than just myself... normally it would just be me doing all the coding, but I'm hoping that Jared can help us out with this project, and indeed he did start a few months ago on some coding, since then both of us have been too busy to carry on with it. By the summer I'd say we'd definitely be finished, just how soon before then I don't know. Below is a quick summary of the new features, followed by a bit about the current system and why we need to change, and then an in depth discussion of all the shiny new features. Summary of new features and improvements Integration with the forums Advanced searching options Quick download Author pages Improved rating system More detailed file pages Comment system Multiple screenshots for each mod Report broken mod form Submit your own mods The Current System (bad) At the moment the features we have are quite limited. So we have categories and sub-categories, and are able to add files to them, have a short and long description, author name, version number, 1 screenshot and 1 file. You can see the number of downloads it's had, the file size, and you have links to download it. On a separate page you can rate the mod, you can also email it to a friend. It's annoying having to go to a separate page to rate the mod, and the email to a friend feature isn't used very much (I think), as most people tend to pass links around in forums and on instant messengers these days. Occasionally I would dare say some people abuse the system and send to loads of people for no reason or spam it. When searching, you put in some text and it searches virtually every field in the file records, there's no way of narrowing down your search. Results are listed all on one page with just a category name next to them - This is not very useful at all. That's about all I need to say for that, on to the new system... New System (good) The way you navigate the downloads will be largely the same, but will be significantly more intuitive and a lot easier/quicker than before. Categories and sub-categories will all remain the same as there is nothing wrong with them. Game logo icons may be added to the main ones so it is clear which game you are browsing for (mainly useful for searches which return results for mods for more than one game). File Listing When viewing the list of files in a category, you'll have the option to "Quick Download" the file. A link you can click which downloads the file immediately, bypassing the file page altogether. Clearer Dates The current system uses American style dates and times which is confusing to most of our visitors from Europe and Australia-based regions and indeed many other countries which have the day first rather than the month. Instead we'll be using short dates (abbreviations). e.g. 6th Jan 2006, or something similar. File Rating The current system uses a number out of 10. We will be using a maximum rating of 5 in the new one (based on stars) and we will be halving all current ratings so that previous ratings aren't lost in the changeover. It will now be clearer how good a file is based on the number of stars it has (hovering your mouse over them will show how many ratings the file has received - So if you see it has 1 star and hover over it to find out it only has 1 rating, you know that this is just 1 person's opinion, whereas if you find it has 1 star but 20 people have rated it, you know that it is probably not a very good mod. Searching Searching will be far more advanced than before. Unfortunately it's the most complicated thing to code. However we are hoping for the following abilities and features: Search by file name, or description (using tickboxes to select which ones, or both) Search by author name Advanced options will include selecting a specific category or categories Sort options: by file name, rating, date added, author name, or # of comments. Ascending or Descending. Flood control for guests - if you are not logged in you can only do X searches every X seconds (probably 1 search every 60 seconds) After you've performed a search, the results will be displayed on pages (rather than one huge long list). A game icon will be displayed to the left of the file name, representing the game it is for (in the case of tools for multiple games such as IMGTool, a toolbox will be shown). The next column will be the file name itself which links to the file page and the description will be underneath. Each row will of course have a number of columns each with more details about the file, they will contain the following: Author name with a link to their profile page. # of stars (rating). Date added. # of downloads. # of comments. (# of screenshots/files - not sure about this one) Integration with The GTA Place Forums As you've probably realised from some of the things I've mentioned above. We are trying to get the system implemented to the forums, i.e. to use the member database etc. Some of the features members can do are the following: Leave comments on mods, just like as if you were posting on the forums. (comments will not increase your post count) Upload your own mods Edit your own mods (screenshots, file, description etc.) - this will come at a later date Author Pages Each mod author will have their own author page (and before you ask, mods with multiple authors will be able to have each author linked individually). This page will be based on their member ID on the forums, so for example, /downloads/author.php?id=2 would be the page for me (Chris) as that is my member ID on these forums. Mod authors who aren't members on the forum will also have a page but linked differently, you won't need to know about this. Each author's page will have the following: # of mods by this author (link to page of them) total # of downloads this authors mods have had Average file rating Some forum profile data (along with link to forum profile) Link to website (if available) File Pages Viewing a mod will be largely the same as in the old system, with a few more details, and a slightly modified layout making it all easier to read. New features and/or improvements are: # of file views. Rate file directly on the page (rather than having to click through to a new one - this should mean more people decide to vote, thus giving a better indication of how good the mod is. Multiple screenshots. Thumbnails will be shown of each one, linking to the full version. Remove email to friend feature Add 'Report this Mod' button (allows you to notify admins if it: contains a virus, file is corrupt, file doesn't exist etc.) And I think that's just about everything you need to know. If you have any suggestions or comments about it then please leave them here. Thanks! I'll try and post updates whenever progress is made. 40. Nowadays when it comes to stunt videos, we usually always see them coming from dedicated sites such as GTAStunting. However, last year, we decided on our forums to make a video of our own. Unfortunately the project fell through, but earlier this year, a small group of members tried to revive the project, and now their video is finished. The video, entitled Blackout was mostly organised by Ghost, with stunts also being provided by Slayer, Jace and Engel. It features a good mixture of both aerial, car and bike stunts across the state of San Andreas. Blackout is 5 minutes 47 seconds in length and is quite a large download at just under 95MB. Click the image to download: If you're interested in participating in a community stunt video, then fear not, as Ghost also has a Vice City video planned which we're still capturing stunts for. You can check out this topic for more information on that. If you're not yet a member of our forums, we recommend you sign up today. Registration is free, fast, and easy, and is a great way to get involved with the GTA community.

  42. oh god this took me forever for every easer egg/Glitch i know of..... #1 - Silver Vibrator: There is a Silver Vibrator located behind some Dumpsters in Bayside, North of San Fierro. It blends in with the wall so look carefully. #2 - Aldea Malvada, The Lost Pueblo: This is the larger of two sets of Native American/Mexican ruins in the game. They both relate to the biographical history of the area, most notably, the tales of a cavalry unit that fell down a hole near Fort Pastor. #3 - Cock Rock: Although seen in various Western movies, this is one particular stone column that would have made John Wayne blush. Known as 'Cock Rock' by game players, this column, when viewed from a certain angle, looks exactly like a male member. Other phallic symbols can be seen on both the Hotdog and Mr Whoopee vans. #4 - Buried Body Bags: There is a pile of dead bodies in disposable bags located in El Castillo Del Diablo, South West of the airstrip in the desert. Parked next to the mass grave is a Bobcat, so whoever dumped the bodies, also left their car there. This could be a way to dispose the bodies of intruders into nearby Area 69 although it could refer to a real-life murderer. #5 - Millie's Gimp Desires: Simply pose as a gimp when you arrive at Millie's for a date and she will immediately bring you inside for sex. If only real dates were this easy! #6 - Lemmings Easter Egg: Although highly contended to be just a glitch, if you go here, you will see pedestrians walking off the edge of the building then jumping. A nice little Easter Egg considering Rockstar North created the Legendary Lemmings games back when they were DMA. Note: This only works when you are in the alleyway. #7 - Weddings and Weldings: This garage is actually a bomb shop and combines the real life drive-thru wedding services of Las Vegas with the convenience of getting your car equipped with high explosives. Not exactly a shotgun wedding but it's a lot more violent. #8 - V-Rock Hotel: In Las Venturas, as a reference to both GTA Vice City and the Hard Rock Cafe, one of the hotels is the V-Rock hotel. V-rock being one of the radio stations in GTA Vice City where WCTR DJ Lazlow was employed. #9 - Regular Tom Geyser: This geyser is one of two places to find the photographing Pedestrian model. As the geyser spurts skywards, the pedestrians clamour to take the best photograph. #10 - Area 69: The restricted area/no-fly zone is a spoof on the real life air-force base Area 51. Rumoured for it's supposed involvement with Extra-terrestrial life forms, this area is heavily armed against any intruders who decide to fly over. #11 - Sex Shop: This Adult Store is part of one of the later missions but is enterable at any time. Inside are various funny signs and video cases, including references to GTA Vice City's Candy Suxx. The main thing of note is the huge dildo power tool. This is sadly unusable but is available in real life. #12 - No Easter Egg Sign: On top of the Gant Bridge in San Fierro, there is a secret message saying 'There aren't any Easter Eggs up here. Go Away!'. Paradox anyone? #13 - San Andreas Fault line: Underwater on the ocean floor is a large crack that spans between San Fierro and the other two islands. This refers to the real-life San Andreas fault line that is the separation between the North American and Pacific continental plates. Earthquake damage can be found in the form of both the ruined freeway section next to the San Fierro freeway, and the ruined buildings behind CJ's garage in San Fierro. #14 - USS Numnutz: What's long, hard and full of seamen? This docked submarine in San Fierro with the funny name is. Further references can be made as to the sexuality of sailors by having them docked in a representation of one of America's biggest gay friendly cities, San Francisco. #15 - Hopi Ruins: This second set of ruins can be found on the cliff side across the road from the cemetery building and look especially spooky at twilight. #16 - Lil' Probe Inn: This UFO based bar is a spoof on a real life bar called the Lil' Ale Inn in Rachel, Nevada. The bar also contains the Mysterious Map, which is an unexplained map of San Andreas that pinpoints certain locations in San Andreas. It can be found at the very back of Lil' Probe Inn near the office desk or in Toreno's cabin. If you investigate more you will find many of the locations have landmarks that have references to the local history. An example is the Las Venturas stadium where a lot of hippies died in the sixties after choking on toads. #17 - Unmarked Pay 'n' Spray: As one of the many glitches in the game, Rockstar left this Pay 'n' Spray in the game but didn't put it on the map. #18 - Bridge Facts: There is a sign with technical facts about the northernmost San Fierro bridge (Gant Bridge), next to Katie Zahn's favourite diner, along with a hunk of Cable used on the Bridge with a information sign next that. #19 - Michelle's tools: Go to upper San Fierro into Michelle's Garage and look inside with the Camera at her utility bench on your left. You will see she has very nice collection of different types and sizes of sexual pleasure tools. Michelle's garage also features the Kruton 9000. This is a computer that has appeared in the latest 3 GTA instalments. In GTA3 it can be seen inside Joey's Garage and within Sunshine Auto's in Vice City. #20 - The Fort Carson Tunnel: This tunnel can be found next to the ocean, to the west of Fort Carson. It is nothing special apart from the fact that it contains a wanted star, thus making it the perfect place to hide from the police. It may be a reference to the cavalry troops that fell down a large hole near Fort Carson in the Nineteenth century but this link is very loose. It also holds the title of the only natural underground formation in the San Andreas game world. #21 - Sky Door: A long way above the clucking bell in Fort Carson, there is a yellow entrance marker, as seen in the game by an enterable building. Some say that this is an entrance marker to get to Liberty City but as it would be impossible to get in, no one will ever know! Reports have come in as to weird things happening when people use the Unlimited Jetpack Height cheat and go up to the marker. #22 - Cameo Poker cards: The picture cards on the Video Poker machines in the casinos are pictures of people from the past two GTA games. #23 - Tall Pointy Building: Go to San Fierro and look for the tallest Sky Scraper there. You can take the southern entrance to the top of the building. There is a parachute here for base-jumping. At each side of the building are several humorous signs. #24 - Zombotech: Go to San Fierro and located further up north from the Doherty Garage on your right is the Zombotech Sky tower. Go inside and look about, it is surely going to bring back memories of Resident Evil, both the game and the film. Also inside is a very nice-looking double helix statue. #25 - CK Building: At night, one of the taller skyscrapers in Los Santos's window's light up in the shape of 'C' on one side and 'K' on another. The relevance of this is still unknown so if you have an idea, then please let The Bunnies know. #26 - Bio waste Well: Go to Montgomery located just above Los Santos and go behind the OTB (Off Track Betting) buildings. Hidden behind it is a closed up Well surrounded by a fence with Biohazard signs on it. Just across the road is the Sprunk factory, meaning that Sprunk is actually using a contaminated water source. This appears to be a dig at Coca-Cola, who was forced to take their bottled water off the shelves recently, due to its potential carcinogenic effects. #27 - R.I.P Opposition 1997-2004: Go to the War Memorial located in the Hippy Districts of San Fierro near Hippy Shopper and enter the War Memorial. Go to the top to see the Gravestone that says 'R.I.P Opposition 1997-2004' in relation to rival gaming companies. #28 - Hippy Shopper: In Los Santos, there is a store that seems to sell some sort of organic produce. It is called The Hippy Shopper, a reference to the real-life shop chain, Happy Shopper. #29 - Rockstar Action Figures: Go inside Zero's RC Shop in San Fierro and have a look at the shelves. They have boxes of Lance Vance, Tommy Vercetti and James Earl Cash (the lead from Rockstar's Manhunt game) action figures. Zero's store also contains boxes for RC versions of the Hydras, NRG 500s and Rhino's. #30 - Cobra Marital Arts: Have a look at the name of the gym in San Fierro and prepare for a double Easter egg blow. Not only does the name 'Cobra' refer to the evil Cobra Club in the Karate Kid films, but it also says Marital Arts rather than Martial Arts. #31 - Shady Industries: In South-Eastern Los Santos, there is a building that reads "Shady Industries". This refers to Eminem as the original of this exact building can be seen in one of his videos. #32 - Valentino Rossi #46: If you look at the racing number on the NRG 500, most of the time it's 46. This is homage to the renowned Moto GP racer Valentino Rossi. #33 - Magnetic Crane: Go to the Easter Basin Docks located in San Fierro and park a car near the magnetic crane and hop into it. Now attach the magnet to the vehicle and then hop out and get into your vehicle again. Have fun! Also, if you export a car out of the docks, it usually has a custom number plate of some sort. One of these being 'EA Sucks', a possible reference to Electronic Arts. #34 - Enterable Liquor Store: In Blueberry there is an enterable liquor store. You can enter from the back alley entrance or through the front door. Mind you, there isn't anything in there to do. #35 - Locals Only Shop: There is a shop in Blueberry with a sign above it stating 'Locals Only!', a reference to the Local Shop for Local People in the BBC comedy, The League Of Gentlemen. However, it could also highlight the inherent racism in the southern 'hick' states of America, with the sign also saying 'Your type is not welcome here. Go away!'. #36 - Avery Construction: On some building sites such as the one in Blueberry there is a blue sign saying "Avery Construction". This is referring to Avery Carrington from Vice City whom was a construction colonist. An image of Avery can be seen in the form of a neon sign on the Old Strip in Las Venturas, spoofing the Marlboro Cowboy in Las Vegas. #37 - Catalina's Ex-boyfriends: Next to the Catalina's cabin on Fern Ridge is a spade weapon pick-up. Next to this are two shallow graves. Evidence of Catalina's shady past? #38 - Rusty Wheelchair: There is a jetty sticking out above Fisher's Lagoon. At the end of this jetty is a rusty wheelchair. The occupant is not to be found; yet this may relate to the empty barrels that have been beached on the shoreline of the lagoon. #39 - Vice City Box Art: There are 5 huge round silos south of San Fierro and just north of Mt. Chiliad. The buildings to the west of them have low-resolution images of the Vice City box art on the building walls. #40 - Nazca symbols: North of the spawn point for the Ghost Cars in the Back O' Beyond, on the side of a cliff face a strange symbol can be seen. Much like the famous Nazca Lines, this symbol looks very old but could only have been created by modern technology. Explanations for this sign are still unknown. #41 - DRIV3R Video Game: In the mission where you need to steal Madd Dogg's rhyme book from his mansion, the mission cut scene has one of Dogg's guards playing a game on a couch and saying how the game character 'Tanner' (the name of the character from the Driver series) runs like his bowels have released and that he sucks ass and that the game producers Refractions (Reflections) made a crappy hyped game. #42 - Northstar Rock: An obvious one but it's there none the less. There is an area of Los Santos, in the North East of the island, which is called North Rock, a reference to Rockstar North, one of the companies that produced the game. #43 - Suicidal Photographer: Enter the Trailer park around the Los Santos Inlet and face east towards Los Santos in the centre of the park and a person should spawn on the side of the road near the water on your right. Go up to them and you will see they are taking snapshots of Los Santos. After a while they will put the camera away and slowly walk into the water and drown themselves. #44 - Candy Suxx Billboard: In another reference to the well-known porn starlet, a large billboard is in Los Santos depicting the starlet in all her glory. #45 - Spike's Crypt: Go to the Los Santos Graveyard where CJ's mom was buried and look in the crypt. You will see a TV, an armchair and some pizza boxes. This is a reference to Spike from Buffy The Vampire Slayer whom had a similar set-up in the show. #46 - Ghost Graffiti: Go to the Los Santos graveyard between 20:00 and 6:00 and look at the walls and you will see several 'ghost tags' on the walls. During the day the tags disappear and are nowhere to be seen. Spooky. Ironically, one of the tags says 'Families 4 Life'. #47 - Los Santos' Tallest Building: For any early starters who wish to indulge in a bit of base-jumping, then head on over to the largest building in Los Santos. Just find the entrance at the bottom of the building and you will be spawned at the top, where a parachute awaits you. #48 - Jefferson Save Icon: Another glitch it appears. In the Jefferson motel, one of the rooms has a skylight in the roof. In this skylight, you can see a save icon drifting halfway through the skylight. Also in this motel, in the mission 'Reuniting the Families' when inside the hotel, follow the hooker into the apartment room. Walk up to her and it will trigger a cut scene where she sees you are hurt and you and her start smooching for a while, in the interim you obtain full health. This can be done several times during certain parts of the mission. #49 - Not Welcome Mat: As you enter Big Smokes Crack Palace towards the end of the game, take a look at his doormat. It features the Rockstar North logo and states 'Not Welcome'. #50 - Colonel Furberger's: This house is the one you enter for the mission 'Home Invasion'. The house is full of military memorabilia, most notably, the large camo-net that hangs from the ceiling in the front room. #51 - Purple Double Ender: Go into the shower room of any of the police stations located around Los Santos to see a long double-ended purple dildo. You can use it as a weapon or give it as a special gift to your girlfriend. #52 - Police Brutality: Go to an Impound Lot such as behind the Police HQ in Los Santos and sometimes you will see 2 police 'interrogating' a pedestrian. This entails the cops beating the living snot out of the pedestrian. This is a reference to the Rodney King beatings, which was one of the key factors leading up to the LA riots. #53 - Self-abuse Statue: If you re-enter the plaza in Los Santos in which you rescue Big Smoke from the Russians, you can have a look at the statues without risking being shot. The central statue is pleasuring himself, whilst the surrounding statues look on in shock. #54 - Jackson 5: If you take a walk over to Reese's Barbershop in Idlewood, LS, have a look at the photographs of models on the wall. Reese's most famous customers perhaps? #55 - Taste Of Come: After crashing through the billboard in the mission 'Reuniting The Families' take a look at what it now says and prepare yourself for even more chuckles. #56 - Vice City Hidden Package: Opposite the Watts towers in Los Santos in Ganton there is a small orange Tiki shop with a huge statue of the cocaine filled Tiki statue, which resembles the Hidden Packages in Vice City. #57 - Lemmings Pole: Much like the Lemmings Egg in Las Venturas there is also a telegraph pole in Los Santos that does this. There is a clucking Bell just north of Grove Street. On the west side of the Clucking Bell's car park is the telegraph pole. The pedestrians spawn halfway in the pole and then fall from the top to their deaths. #58 - Breakable Bridge: There is a section on the bridge above Grove Street that breaks in one of the end missions. This section can be broken before the actual event happens. The section is one of the Eastern sections in the middle of the bridge. #59 - CJ's Mom's House: This is the Johnson family home and family photos can be seen around the living room. The games console plugged into the television can be played, although it is the same as the games played in bars and shops around the game world. Rumours of the ghost of CJ's mother are completely false so anyone waiting for a glimpse of her will be wasting their time. #60 - Dammed Lake: In the Back O' Beyond is a brown lake that has been dammed off from the river. If you get on the nearby quad bike and drive it slightly into the water, rather than seeing the shape of the quad under the water, it is invisible. This happens with any vehicle. Next to this lake is a rock that, along with the surrounding ground, appears to glow at night. Both of these can be counted as glitches but are fun to investigate none the less. #61 - Ghost Glendale: In the Back O' Beyond, by the two horseshoe shaped hills, a scratched up Glendale often spawns right in front of you and starts coasting down the slope as if it was possessed. However, it isn't. It is basically to provide transport for you so you don't have to run if you find yourself in the middle of nowhere. The reason it 'drives' is due to the spawn point being above the hill. When it spawns, it drops and the impact makes it move forward, down the hill. Many rumours are abound as to what made the scratches and dents on the vehicle, as it is impossible to do that damage to a Glendale yourself. Basically, there are two types of Glendale, the normal and the wrecked version. The dents and scratches are there to highlight that the car is damaged, and thus why it is abandoned. This occurs with several other types of car as well, in various locations around San Andreas. #62 - Get Cesar's Savannah: After you finish the 'High Stakes, Low-Rider' Mission in Los Santos (whether or not you failed it), Cesar and his bullet-proof Savannah will remain at the finish line, with the doors locked. Push the car to one of your garages then close the garage door then open it again, the Bullet-proof Savannah is now yours and the doors will now be unlocked ready for you to hop in. #63 - Observatory: There is an observatory on the top of Verdant Bluffs in south Los Santos. This is a real life observatory in Los Angeles where the climax of the film Rebel Without a Cause was filmed. It is also one of the highest points in L.A. and has a view of the famous Hollywood sign. What is also noteworthy is that this is one of the only areas in the game that you can see the following pedestrian models: The Jogging Ped, complete with jogging outfit. And the Cyclist Ped, complete with shorts and helmet. #64 - True Grime: At the Unity Train Station in Los Santos, there is a billboard that shows a bin man dumping rubbish saying 'True Grimes: Street Cleaner'. This refers to the GTA style game True Crime: Streets of LA, which was a load of rubbish. #65 - Jesus Saves: In Los Santos there is wall art of Mary and an angel that says 'Jesus Saves'. If you remember, in GTA2, the buildings where you saved said the exact same thing. #66 - Vice City Maps: Go outside the Cluckin' bell in Angel Pine and directly across the street are 3 lined up trashcans. 2 of them have open tops, knock them over and look inside and you will see a bunch of maps of Vice City. thats all i know for gltiches/easer eggs for GTA San Andreas PS: srry if its so big
