  1. Another day, another trip to the computer store for a new motherboard and RAM sticks. I hated the fact that you have to be forced to buy another board since the socket's different, but I guess that's life.
  2. Wouldn't it be better if they supported more than one game? Anyway, the fact that vehicle importing in Max is now possible makes me excited.
  3. You can mod the ISO and alter the resource files on the game disc, but I don't think that it's worth the effort compared to modding the PC version. Besides the possible legal consequences of it, i.e. using modchips which may be illegal in your jurisdiction, and EULA violations.
  4. That's also my point too, as well as what Blacklisted noted out. The lack of values nowadays did seem to account for this, and parents are either too busy or flat-out ignorant about their children's well-being. They just let their kids whine and piss online on Call of Duty while they, the parents themselves, spend way too much time "trying to keep up with the Joneses", as a friend of mine said. I once heard that census workers had a hard time interviewing people - it's either that they're cussed at when they're asked about who they are and shit, or worse, have a Glock or some twelve-gauge being pointed at the workers' faces. I wouldn't be surprised to know as to what's wrong with America nowadays.
  5. Looks like they did some render-to-texture and shit with the vehicle models, hence the dirty feel to them. I also did notice that they used Photoshop 7.0 for shooping the textures, too.
  6. I'm impressed with your impeccable sense of cynicism and critical judgement, too.
  7. Not only that I agree with the mental/psychological health reforms, but gun control is more or less useless if Americans don't put family values as a priority. It seems like parents in the US these days tend to overlook on the well-being of their kids, hence the reason why some of them act so stupid nowadays.
  8. And you forgot to mention that it only works on ARMV7 devices. GTA3 ran on ARMV6, though.
  9. It's a masterpiece, an avant-garde work of art! Perhaps you should ask the Louvre to have it displayed.
  10. The character shadows are a plus, too. Shame that the Android port got scathing reviews upon release.
  11. Lulz they did change the ammo count and radio station indicators. 'Tis most likely due to the problems that I pointed out on the previews. The road textures look a tad better, too.
  12. Yeah, at least it's a better compromise than ending up like some forums that I visited which were swamped and practically overran by bots.
  13. I know that I'm bugging you guys for this, but what do you think about installing these mods on this forum? http://forumcore.net/topic/5180-c32-stop-spammer-registration/ http://www.botscout.com/code.htm Swatting out the bots is hard, so I think this will do the trick.
  14. Seems 'swell so far. They should fix the ammo count indicators and radio station text, though. The Rage Italic font looks good enough, but it looks kinda' crap when done in ALL CAPS.
  15. Happy Anniversary! Oh, the memories of being here since 2007...
  16. I almost forgot about that mode, now that you mentioned the XP virtualisation feature. And yeah, even if the power button is there, it really is a hassle to find and hunt that button down, especially if you're just using it for the first time.
  17. Besides that, some of the oft-used options conveniently placed in previous versions of Windows have been tucked away some place else, much to my dismay. Like Safe Mode for example - in versions prior to 8 accessing safe mode or basically any other recovery option is just an F8 away, while in 8 you'll have to reboot after selecting the alternative launch options. Also, I DO NOT understand the point of having to log off before powering down the system, when I could just hit the Shut down button on the start menu in W7. The interface isn't that much of a concern if you ask me, but my real concern is that they're moving goalposts every time they make changes to the Windows API, and as such applications written for previous versions would not work, whereas Wine for Linux is able to boot 16-bit Windows applications on 64-bit versions of Linux.
  18. Definitely yes. They've been like that for a very long time - sticking to that old, outdated copyright model when it's clear that their bullying and DRM won't work at all.
  19. Cynical. 'Sides, it doesn't matter as to whether it's shooped or not.
  20. Yeah, I get your drift, and I did digress, but still they don't have to resort to, like, killing off homosexuals. Even if they don't exactly agree to gay/lesbian/bi ideals, they shouldn't be treating them just as them blacks themselves have been subjected to as you mentioned. They already know what it felt like being shackled and enslaved - why the bloody fuck would they do the same thing to people who don't actually get in their way? And good riddance for them being sanctioned for this irrational behaviour. It made Hitler and the Ku Klux Klan sound pedestrian, if you ask me.
  21. I'm no LGBT myself, and I don't intend to trash at blacks, but if you ask me this is one of the many reasons why black people are the butt of racism: http://www.gaystarnews.com/article/uganda-officially-pass-%E2%80%98kill-gays%E2%80%99-bill121112
  22. And this one's coming from a Microsoft employee, too. If you ask me it felt like they insisted on changing the car's driving controls to something that's different from a wheel and pedal interface which pretty much everyone is accustomed to despite being a century old. I'm also bummed at the fullscreen approach to things as you mentioned, all for the same reasons since I often cycle through notifications, chat messages and other things.
