1. Of course it's all about money. You heard them saying that LCS didn't sell as many copies in the US as expected. So... they just released it on the PS2.. to make money.

I don't see them going to Xbox 360, as it would be wiser to release on the PS2 (the most owned console in North America). I was wondering why Rockstar Leeds was looking for PS2 coders back in November of last year.

When If Rockstar releases a cool bundle to go with LCS.. then it'll sell more. Also I highly believe when they are refering to "Q2", they are refering to fiscall quarters. I have been looking at other press releases, and it seems likely to be so. So in other words then... Feb-April.

Although I still feel it's a bit risky taking the title to the PS2, with the recent Xbox 360 launch and the PS3 to release shortly after LCS PS2 release. The November/December sales drop in current gen games also shows that people are more willing to spend their money on next-gen titles, than current-gen.

I don't want to be negative, but I won't be surprised if we see another GTA Advance phenomena. But hey... Take-Two doesn't have much to loose.

  2. It seems as though an amazing game was not the only thing that you received when you spent 50 dollars, more or less, on Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories. Even though I think homebrew software for the PSP is a load of bollocks, I decided to post this cause most PSP owners don't. For all you peeps out there who accidentally upgraded to any firmware above 2.0 wanting to play Who wants to be a millionare or PSP Chess, for instance, then this is just your day!

Apperantly some character called Fanjita, who is a proud moderator at the imaginatively named PSPUpdates website, found an exploit in the game save for GTA: Liberty City Stories (which he proudly snatched from Edison Carter's Cheat Device) that enables unsigned code (otherwise known as homebrew) to be ran on the PSP. Rather going into more detail, i'll just direct you to PSPupdates themselves for more info where you'll also find a download link.

If you can't get this to work/uploaded/downloaded/removed or if it f*cks up your Liberty City Stories save game (and even break your PSP) then please don't email us as we will most certainly not be able to help you.

Please email any questions to PSPUpdates by clicking here. The so called team over there would be happy to help you.

Also for those of you who didn't know already, Edison Carter updated his Cheat Device yet again after our last post. The latest update makes it possible to trigger the snapshot while holding other buttons. Click the links below to download and visit Edison Carter's website for more info.

LCS Cheat Device for firmware 2.0, 2.01 and 2.5 only:

    US/Canada version 0.3c: CheatDevice03cUS.zip

    UK/EU version 0.3c: CheatDevice03cUK.zip

  3. Now wouldn't that be nice :) . But I'd have to be very impressive in a few years time to get into a studio like one of Rockstar Games' .

I know they have people that job is to just model random models like this.

    *EDIT*

Here's a low quality version to see the model a bit easier:

  4. No NO NO NO ! Don't get me wrong here. You can't compare the Playstation 3 with other consoles. It is in a whole different league. Just like Grand Theft Auto. You get Grand Theft Auto and then you get games...

I'm totally with the PS 3 and I'm not like an anti Microsoft fan. Basicly I just don't like the console that much. I guess everybuddy has their own opinion about it.

  5. Hey Spaz nice for starting this. I'll post a bunch later in the day. Try using this maneuver I found to take more of your screens:

Ok so first of all you need to disable the map and the rest of the hud in the main menu under display. Secondly you need to get a large vehicle like a van or a bus. A van works great.

Now just drive up to the place where you want to take a screen and let either the left or right side face your scene which you want to shoot at.

Now just make sure Toni stands as near as possilble beside the van with his back facing against it. Now pan the camera by holding the left trigger and pressing left or right on either the d-pad or analog stick (depends what control setup you use).

Do this until the camera faces the other way. You will see Toni dissapearing as the camera are now basicly against the van. Then just enable the cheat menu and take your screen!

An example of screens taken using this method:

  6. I listened to the UBS 33rd Annual Global Media Conference today when Take-Two interactive was up. Let me check my notes...

Rockstar bringing another Grand Theft Auto title on the PSP and a sequel to one of their leading brands for the PS3 :)

Now that is either Man Hunt, Midnight Club or... GTA ;)
