  1. OK here's whats up now (sorry that I double posted): I had to order a screen with the computer. The shipment is partial so I got the screen on Thanksgiving. Regarding the computer, Buy.com recently encountered an unforeseen delay with it and it's been over a week now and I've not received it yet. I'm trying to be as patient as I can. I'm trying to give them time, but if my computer is not delivered by next Monday (Dec. 8th), I'm canclling my order and declaring my distrust for online retailers, because this sh*t is taking forever. UPDATE (December 5): That's it. I've had it with buy.com. According to a lot of people, buy.com has pisspoor customer service and wack-ass "unforeseen delays" with their products. I happen to be one of the victims of the fraudulence we know as buy.com. I've canceled my order and I'm waiting on my refund credit. F*ck buy.com.
  2. Thanks for the tip Don, but I have made my decision. After one and a 1/2 weeks on contemplating, negotiating, & rationalizing, I have chosen what Charger told me about. I haven't ordered it yet, but I am moments away from going to. Do you guys think I've made the right decision? I hope so. EDIT: I have just placed my order. It should come within 3 to 4 bizness days We can keep this topic open for reception and it shall close within the next 2 weeks.
  3. Fuck No! Have you ever tried using a Vista? No, I haven't.
  4. Can these computers pass for the games I mentioned?: http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?...topnav=&s=1 http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?...ec=&topnav= http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?...opnav=&s=1#
  5. Good deal, but according to what I read someplace, I heard that anything with DDR2 doesn't perform gaming well. Is that true to you guys? You have DDR2 PCs but you play over the top PC games (like the ones I mentioned above)? EDIT: If you're wondering where I heard that: http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.as...hreadid=2247362 EDIT #2: And does this have to matter with the video card: 4GB PC2 6400 DDR2 SDRAM. or it's unrelated to it, but can it go smooth?
  6. OK, here's what I just thought about. Let's say I'm planning to get that circuit city computer I put up here. The only thing is when I order it, I can ask them just to change the processor & video card to Core 2 Duo (or so) & GeForce 9800GT (respectively)? In other words, can I ask the guys at CC to customize my order just a bit (by way of the phone, email, etc.)? If that works, then does it qualify? Or it's impossible, and cannot be done? What I get is what I get.
  7. Thanks for the comments. It made me think twice about that computer I showed you. I also tried building a PC at buydirectpc.com, but it came up to about $1,700!! (My God, that's NOT in my price range). I've given up searching because I'm stressed out. So the gist is, I'm looking forward to a computer that can have these specs: Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo CPU Speed: 3.20 GHz (at least) System RAM: 2 to 4 GB OS: Windows XP Video Card: GeForce 9600GT (thanks for the tip, Chris) Sound speakers: Yeah (+ CD/DVD burner, CD/DVD drive, a good amount of USB ports, etc. The monitor I can look for, and the printer/scanner I have already) Any good suggestions? (Please nothing too expensive like that $1700)
  8. OK, I'm currently using my father's computer. That's because my laptop died a few months ago. So I came across this computer: http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/HP-Pavilion...roductDetail.do Now here's the thing. Do you think this computer really, really compatible with some of these PC games (meaning that the game runs smooth, no lags, no missing textures, other incompatibility issues, etc.): GTA San Andreas Bioshock Call Of Duty (any up to 4) Tomb Raider Legend World Of Warcraft Crysis In general, this computer I'm using now fails at all of these after a System Requirements Lab test. So all I'm asking you is that is the computer I found fully or greatly compatible with these PC games above? (I know it's Windows Vista, but come on). Answer in this formula: [Game: Yes/No with full/minimum requirements] Thanks in advance, peace. (Be kind. That way i don't waste $500 for nothing, cause I can't keep my patience. )
  9. Thank God Obama won. Makes me more proud to be an American. Oh and just to cause some laughter, I have this:
  10. I don't wanna sound like a noob, or if I've missed anything but.......I already beat GTA IV on my PS3 (since like July). After I get the patch, does this mean I have to play it ALL OVER AGAIN just to get these trophies? Or that the trophy system can sync with my current savefile and get whatever I've achieved? Please don't flame me. Anyway, yeah you'll have to play again to get the achievements. Damn, a'ight then.

  12. YES! Jacko the devil has finally been disbarred. Thank Christ.
  13. Don't u hate it when older people try to put down the youth? You know like when they try to blatantly call us "youngins" as such? I just wanna know from you guys because this generation gap is getting me a bit ticked. (**NOTE: If you're gonna be arse, don't reply. Have a constructed and mature response.)
  14. Musician Isaac Hayes died early Sunday morning, according to Shelby County Sheriff's Department spokesperson Steve Shular.A Shelby County sheriff's deputy responded to Hayes' home after his wife found him on the floor near a treadmill inside his home. Hayes was taken to Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, where he was pronounced dead at 2:08am. Deputies with the Shelby County Sheriff's Department are continuing their investigation into Hayes' death, but they believe no foul play was involved. (1942 - 2008) Isaac was the guy who sang the theme song for "Shaft" and he played as "Chef" in South Park. Damn....
  15. This sounds interesting. I would like to join (I'm from Queens, New York). My PSN ID: GTAsoldier1 BTW, is this a mic only clan? Becuase currently I don't have a mic but I may buy one 2morrow. EDIT: Bad news. OGTAM PMed me today on my PS3 and he told me his PS3 blu-ray drive is broken. So he can't really run the clan as of yet, thus not running GTA IV.
  16. This is the worst videogame of all time:
  17. OK, I feel like re-installing my GTA Vice City on my PC, and I wanna RPG. So are there any good / decent RPG servers out now on like VC-MP, MTA, or something? I mean I'm still playing my GTA IV multiplayer on my PS3, but I just wanna add some more fun factor now.
  18. Well if the DLC comes to the PS3 (which I'm praying for to happen), I would want (as a basis): -More weapons (I miss the flamethrower) -Buying property (more safehouses, vehicles) -Additional side-missions (New Random NPCs for example) -Customizable Clothing (e.g. An easy or advanced setting on getting dressed) -Better fighting skills -Better physics -More accessible websites on the computer -More multiplayer games -More phone features
  19. **I think this goes best in this thread regarding patches, so.... Now I know that PS3 users have updated their PS3 yesterday to version 2.4 (I have too), and you were all expecting for your custom soundtracks to be played in GTA IV. Turns out it didn't, right? Yesterday I emailed Rockstar concerning this and here's what I got back today: (See where I underlined) Good news. Rockstar Games will be making a patch for the PS3 version of GTA IV so that your own music can be played in-game with respect to yesterday's update. I don't know when it'll be released but it'll get some hopes up. One love, GTAsoldier

  21. My top 5 stations are: 1. Electro Choc 2. Tuff Gong 3. Radio Broker / Vladivostok (tie) 4. Journey 5. VIBE
  22. What are the ports? You're probably right. By the way I need the 360 ports. UDP 3074 (for GTA IV) UDP 88, UDP 3074, and TCP 3074 (for Xbox Live, you should enable this first)
  23. I can see my stats now. All I just did was port forward the PSN and GTA IV into my router and firewall. I think that's what we're supposed to do.
