Nice job Dom with the analysis! This was surely one of the best trailers R* has ever released, I was awed. There's not going to be an SF though, but yes probably a merge with LS to make a brand new city.

Yes, because if Rockstar wanted to do CGI they wouldn't put some antialiasing. Max Payne 3 had the same physics, stop having it at GTA.

Rockstar doesn't pre-announce Asked & Answered's, they've said it a lot of times - they do it when they feel like it.

My 30 mbps can get reduced to... 1 mbps at night when everyone is using and abusing the internet. I miss the Summers where I get the 30 mbps alone (3.6 MB/s)
Youtube videos and other downloads can reach 1+ MB/s though, Speedtest is odd.

I assume you're running with the integrated Intel graphics chip. It doesn't run GTA IV and there's nothing you can do, sorry :/

I was just a player in the TGTAP server blowing shit up when Dom activated the superweapons mod. Later I opened myself a private server for some meetouts, but it was mostly me and Scott.

I'm literally fucking mindblown. This game is going to be the pinnacle of GTA, the scale of the map, the multiple protagonists thing which I like... just amazing.

They won't stop releasing their biggest blockbuster to PC. Just a matter of waiting, plus, they've definitely learned from the GTA IV port (See Max Payne 3).

Some of you just can't get excited. Anything related to GTAV excites me, because it's simply a piece of art. Amazing. And I do think this will be the GI cover for some reason

Haha, finally. GTAForums is a mess. Now I'm very hyped. This means Rockstar has to show something somewhere this month.

Mass-emailing; I don't think that would work, as Mike said probably most people have different email addresses and sending an email to 50k members would be very resource tasking on the server, with a very unlikely chance of success. Reorganising could be a good idea, but we'd have to let everyone know somehow, and, as said, internet culture is changing and forums aren't what they used to be. GTAForums is bigger because it was one of the first, and it always had a lot of activity, don't take me wrong on this though, not trying to compare anything.
Reviving the multiplayer scene would be a good idea, problem is, hackers would probably come back and ruin the party, and there still would have to be some form of contact in-between missing members to let them know. Contests are definitely a good idea, Facebook and Twitter spreads are always good to let people know. Maybe we should use Twitter/Facebook more often to report news and let people know? I'm clueless, though, most posts already got the idea

OGTAM was banned years ago for constantly disrespecting staff. Actually it wasn't constant, but he did it enough times to get noticed by pretty much every moderator at that time, and after enough times we simply decided to ban him. If he came back now I'd let him back. People change a lot over the years. I'd give him a second chance, if I saw no change then obviously I'd just ban again. I'm willing to give most people a second chance, but there are no third chances.
As Llama said, most of us would love to spend a lot more time here but we simply don't have as much time to do so as we did before. I think ALL of old members are now of the age where they have full-time jobs or are busy getting educated etc. And as these members moved on and spent less time here, we, for a variety of reasons, weren't able to keep up the activity by enticing new members to join, so there were no replacements and activity died down to what it is today.
GTA V will increase activity no doubt about it, we'll have to work at enticing everyone to stay here. Needs an effort on everyone's part though. People make the community, not what features we do or don't have.
