  1. So you'll shut up then and this broken record we laughably call an "argument" can stop playing?

Or will I have to listen to this another two pages until you guys finally...wait, what's the point of constantly bringing up the fact that TG begged for money and such? Spaz, I could sorta understand, it's his way of "helping" a gang (My way would be actually fighting one); Hell, I joined the VM so I would have some resistance from the likes of him, even if at the moment it's just a constant barrage of insults against one apologetic leader instead of, say, a real rivalry against an entire gang. That's a bit of reasoning.

So, tell me, what is it PS3 Player and Tommy Montana want? If apologizing and trying to change won't help, what will?

  2. I don't know whether to laugh or laugh extra hard at how much this topic has degenerated.

I'll just go down the line of what I first think of here:

To Spaz, we get it. I know, hard to believe, but we can read. Even TG, who from my understanding is still partly learning English in the literal sense instead of the insulting one (What a relief to my faith in humanity's level of common sense these days), gets it. The DS was here from the beginning, has the most money, and the most members. And as much as I love how defensive you get when people just want to feel like they can touch you (Comedy at its best), I think it's time to step back and realize when you're in a position of this power, you're a bit beyond getting worked up over someone saying that they'd have a fight on their hands instead of just being pushovers. It's called "humble", I think.

Frankly, it seems to me you're mostly trying to prove to yourself that you're still "untouchable" (Quoted because, let's face it, you still lost to a gang you constantly bashed as being noobs and would simply be another fly to swat, mainly because you only barely managed to defeat another gang you consider as a bunch of noobs). Then again, this is some of the psychological bullshit you hear on f*cking TV, but Jesus Christ, don't I sound smart now? (I'm going to give you your response to this both early and for free too, so you don't hurt your head thinking of it: "No.")

When it comes to TG, Hell, I didn't join the gang because of him. I joined because I didn't want a sure thing like the DS (Plus, you put me off more than TG does), and it'd be a Hell of a lot more involving working to actually make a good gang instead of just bashing smaller ones. No, TG isn't going to be our glorious savior of a leader, unlike the visage Spaz seems to like painting himself as. No, it's going to be the work of everyone else around him that pulls him through, and TG knows this (Hell, you should see our private chat; sometimes the most mundane shit, he runs by us first). At this point, however, he's just another Mike Subuzi to the DS, except this one actually tries to apologize and admit his mistakes this time around, or try to get the blacker stains of is past (Yes, a bit overly dramatic for an internet forum) behind him as quickly as possible.

Every day, I see gangland turning back into the SMF days. The DS picks on the noobs (Although, it's kinda degenerated into just Spaz and a few tag-along-ers these days) while the noobs, oddly enough (I'm not even being arrogantly sarcastic, I can't f*cking figure it out), get a pretty damn good amount of members and support and start fighting for a place at the top. About the only difference now is the faces, and maybe the tone of our primary speakers here.

To Tec-9, f*ck, you just seem like someone who's riding the "LOL TG IS A NOOB" train along with Spaz (I think he's earned the rank of newb, by the way - at least he's putting some effort into getting better, from what I've seen). Specifically, to the "help from other people" comment: you're in a gang called the Liberty City FAMILY. I think there's a bit of help from other people involved in families, unless yours is highly dysfunctional and you all just hate each other's f*cking guts or something.

To Skyline, I've got no problem with, mostly. If you want to push the money issue, I'll pay you 200K if you're missing it too much. Otherwise, let's accept that TG was a complete Goddamn idiot until me, Oscar, and a few others came along to help his ass out. The point of all this is not that we're the best, we're just better than we were, even if the person acting as leader hasn't been replaced yet along with that fact.

  3. Right. Get back to us later, I won't count you out yet. I just haven't really seen enough of you to judge whether you're actually fairly decent, or yet another 'e-gangsta wannabe' that's going to make me feel ashamed to be a part of the same species with. I'd rather be cautious than going progressively f*cking insane out of fury.

  4. Nah. I don't know you too well, I'm surprised you haven't noticed that your shift key if f*cking crying, and you generally seem like the kind of person who is going to repeatedly call me a "faggot busta foo'" and start a topic badmouthing me after you read this post.

Who wants to take bets for that, by the way?

  5. And transliteral Russian, so at least it's somewhat readable for the English eye. Wouldn't rely on my translating skills too much though, apparently. The Russian mafia is commonly referred to as the "Red Mob", so I thought it was at least somewhat fitting, and a tad more original.

  6. I say june 18! -_-

    Hey, that's my birthday! We're definitely getting info before E3 2007, that's pretty much a no-brainer.

Remember, there is no E3 anymore. But if there was, I'd say around that date at the earliest too, maybe somewhat after into the summer months, and do what they've been doing before and release the game in the October 2007 area. We definitely won't get much at first, that's for sure.

  7. So, I finally got the gang up and running, with two old ARR members by my side even! Now that I'm no long paranoid about making the actual gang, I can get along to be paranoid about its actual introduction and recruiting. F*cking yay!

Oh, and since seemingly every gang that starts gets about two pages worth of "Good luck!"s and crap, leave them all here. Or something.

  8. The Krasnaya Mafiya

"Добро пожаловать в мафию - Welcome to the mafia."

Ah, the lovable Russian mafia. Filling in the gap between the belligerent street gangs, arrogant Italian mobs, and lowlife Yakuza sits a combination of all three as comrades collect their new fortunes in America. From arms smuggling, to prostitution rings, and to the usual shakedowns and criminal threats relevant to all mafias, the Krasnaya Mafiya rises up to take out a slice of what is usually left to the Italians and Japanese. Of course, not being there first doesn't rightly build up your name very quickly, but we just consider that good for business.

    Positions

The people that make up our fine organization, with Russian transliterals coming before the English position. The first three leader positions, obviously, are taken and only allow one member in such a position, as if you needed to know. The positions afterwards have no limit, an exception being the hitmen, and only until we get to a point to where we really don't need a dozen more Managers or something. If me and my fellow mafia members can work up enough money, I might be inclined to start giving out bonuses (Either payed or item-wise) that are involved with some of the positions, or just a basic check. We'll have to see....

Lider - Leader: Slavik Von Stockholm

Stárshiy Leytenánt - Senior Lieutenant: Akuma

Vtoroj Leytenánt - Second Lieutenant: Slayer

    Muskel - Muscle:

Not exactly the lifeblood of the gang, nor the heart, and if you stick with the bodily metaphores, they just become, well, the muscles. How fitting. Anyways, your jacks of all trades, Muscle are pretty much your standard lackeys you send off to do whatever is rightly needed. It won't always include shooting because of that, but when it becomes time to, they're the first with the rifle.

    Transportirovka - Transportation:

A bit more wider of a job than you think. While any position could essentially drive a car, it's good to have someone who can not only drive it well, but take hold of a few other vehicles easily too, and make sure it all runs smoothly. You might be first on the scene, but you'll also be fairly detached from it as well. Of course, this could also include the new street racers out there, but it's not exactly our primary concern. Go to town with it if you must, just make sure you have the mechanicle skills to fix all of our shit before we need it, after you're done.

    Kontrabandist Oruzhiya - Arms Smuggler:

It's quite the task these days to move weapons, especially when you need to get a mafia's worth past a border or two. While some Muscle might help you carry the stuff, Smugglers are responsible for finding it, getting it through, and selling it off if it's not for our own troops. While it would be more profitable, try not to sell it off to the competition. (This position is a bit more interactive due to the shop and such, so expect a little bit of actual work with this, not like that's a big problem on the internet or something. I might explain privately at some other point, since the system is a bit wonky at the moment...)

    Boss Prostitucii - Prostitution boss:

You could call it a pimp, but I could also call you an idiot. From illegal brothels to the streets themselves like every other kid today wants to be on, these Bosses run the oldest professions, bringing in a relatively small, but still sizable revenue into the mafia. Since it can be fairly low-key and isn't exactly the most dangerous job on the force, it's a short day's work on a relatively harmless project.

    Nayemnyj Ubijca - Hitman:

Probably the smallest division, it can occasionally bring in the biggest amounts of cash in. For the person who doesn't mind forever losing their own name, you'll be covering your tracks most of the time, meeting contacts for objective and money pickup the other majority, and doing the actual silent killing in-between the rest. Because the prime advantage (Or disadvantage, depending how you see things) of this profession is silence and secrecy, meaning I won't allow more than two (Or three, if the Mafiya grows a bit) at a time, to prevent extra trouble falling on my head because of an overgrown contractual killing industry.

    Menedzher - Manager:

While there may be three different leaders running the overall gang, you still can't expect them to manage every little aspect, right? The Managers serve as the middle-men of the firm, informing leaders of going-ons and giving men below them orders and goals. Occasionally, they play the contact rolls for jobs such as the Smuggler or the Hitman, but usually, it's on the field, overseeing everything. Surprisingly, an office is usually a sight you won't see too often.

    Etiquette and Other Random Notes

This goes forumwise; that is, don't be an asshole here, even though you are part of a fictional Russian criminal expanse. If you can't take the time out to type legibly when you come calling for membership, don't be surprised when I don't take the time out to accept you in return. We don't charge you for being a member; it's slow, not too profitable, and doesn't work too well with people who might not feel that every other detail of their life deserves a post on this forum, like myself. Just be loyal when shooting time comes around and, as stated, don't be an asshole. Also, we won't shout "Respect" and kick you out if you have something to say to a higher up that might be negative, just remember the number one rule: don't be an asshole. I can't stress that enough. If you can complain about someone without calling them a faggot every two seconds though, you pretty much have it covered.

In case you're wondering why we don't have probationary positions, that's because they're fairly useless at the moment, since we could just kick you out anyways, whether you're a smuggler or a newbie. I might implement it if I start handing out large paychecks at regular intervals (Like I did in the old ARR, when I had a lot of money and gave out about 100K every other day), but at the moment, if you act decent, have at least a few posts for us to judge you on, and won't start running from us to another gang anytime soon without damn good reason, you're in.

Also, yes, we did just go through an entire Russian mafia thread without a Yakov Smirnoff joke, so to make it up to you:

In Soviet Russia, off f*cks you!

You have such nice things in America, like warning shots! What a country!

  9. Clear. *Revives topic*

I want to ask all current active members of the ARR to report here so I can get an accurate head count. I also want to ask what would be your thoughts on restarting the ARR, either under a more 'Slavikian' touch or brand new altogether. Hopefully starting fresh and finally accepting the constant stream of recruits will kick gangland in it's ass for once.

  10. Ugh.

I seriously doubt Genocide's coming back here. Hasn't been around on any of the forums I used to see him on lately. So, just consider me the Don of this gang until he gets off his ass and gets over here on a more permanent basis.

Everyone who wants to join, post (Or repost, so we can see if you're active and such), with the position you'd prefer, if any.

I might do some restructuring, if not a full restarting of the gang with new positions and such later, but for now, I'm going to see if it's actually worth my time. I'm still trying to decide whether to start a new gang or try to salvage this one.

  11. I probably won't be starting that up again anytime soon. Not until I see it's worth it. Hell, I might just join the DS or whatever if they're still running just out of my laziness.

When's this test war I keep hearing about coming up, by the way?

  12. Jesus Christ.

Gone so long. Hardly come here myself. Indulge me, and tell of whatever this is and the state of affairs here. Every page I visit on this forum seems to be another journey in confusion at the moment.

  13. Didn't even notice this topic until now. This forum seems to have gone a bit inactive/uninteresting lately, but I still check every now and then.

    Woot for veteran status!

  14. I myself can only spot an error in the developer code thing at the top right corner, which is somewhat cut off on the TV. Otherwise, I can't see the "obvious" fakeness in the shot. All games in developement, especially one like GTA4 which hasn't had any true released screen shots or even artwork to compare, end up looking much different in their finished state than in their development time, so the light cartoony look is sorta explained. The dog and the pedestrians look somewhat retarded, but again, development. All GTA games usually use the same car set, with a few mild changes, so the appearance of older cars isn't exactly a big deal, even moreso if you're near a ghetto area.

While I highly doubt it's real, I wouldn't rightly have dismissed it so early if the entire GTA community wasn't bashing it one at a time for a small detail each.

Also, I could easily label the 3D radar and, with a bit a tweaking, could actually be a neat addition. Just have it that tall buildings "fade out" when they'd get in your way, and make it optional so older fans won't be totally alienated.
