  1. Mostly likely a sound card problem.

I used to have sound issues on my old machines. When it rained, the sound would go out. But now on my new machine I don't have any sound issues.

Try updating your sound card's drivers, or just forking some money together and get a new one.

  2. Sounds interesting. I have all golds for the motorcycle school and driving school. One gold left for boat school and one left for flight school.

I'll turn off the frame limiter for "basic seamanship" and I'll give it a try.

    Thanks.

Wow, I turned it off and I could instantly see a difference. The game runs so much smoother, and it looks sharper. I will definitely be playing with it off from now on.

I went over and did the last lesson in boat school, and I got it on the first try. What a difference.

    Thanks.

  3. I was playing baseball on my high school team one day and I pulled my rotator cuff muscle while swinging at bat. I think it was because the night before I was playing softball with my family at a party, and you know how you have to swing hard to get a heavy softball. So I think when I was playing baseball the next day, I was still in the "swing hard" mood, and I swung too hard and pull my muscle.

It was extremely painful... the most pain I've ever had. I couldn't move my right leg at all, because the rotator cuff muscle moves about the hip, and it moves when your leg moves. I was transported off the field in a gator cart, and then into the car to the ER. I had to sit there in a wheelchair for like two hours before I was attended to. I had to have X-Rays, and that was hard because they had to move my leg in different positions for different shots. Talk about pain!

I was on crutches for two weeks, and I couldn't go up stairs, so I had to live on the other side of the house on the first floor. After a week, I was off the crutches but it took another week to heal completely.

Worst thing about this injury was that it ruined my sports carrer... I was never the same. I couldn't swing with the same power and contact as I had before. It was different. My muscle was confining me. It also affected me on the soccer field... my kicking leg. I lost the touch.

    Oh well.

  4. I'm trying to get the last gold in boat school but I'm stuck on "Basic Seamanship", where you accelerate the boat and then try to stop in within the buoys in the shortest time. Right now, the best I got was 9.72 seconds and that got me a silver. What time do I need to get a gold? Are there any tricks to getting the shortest time? I've tried timing when to hit "S" and right after 6 seconds seems to get me either too short of the buoys or right around 9.7 seconds. I can't seem to get any lower times than that.

    Thanks.

  5. Yeah, you are such a cheater. I don't think anyone in the right mind would do a wheelie over 10 minutes long in real life. What a waste.

And that's why you made this thread. You wanted people to do wheelies and then you show off your cheated times and distances. Hah.

And 15 minute video? No wonder you didn't want to share it. :bleh:

    Funny.

  6. I see what you mean about the frustration. But I would have it so you don't have to fuel up so quickly. I definitely agree that fuel supply should last longer, and I think if they would have a large supply, it wouldn't be so frustrating.

Instead of a "fuel bar", they could incorporate a fuel gauge into a working dashboard of a car or plane, etc. This way you won't have to keep your eye on it ALL the time. And perhaps if you are running low, a fuel bar will appear on screen.

I would say a sports car that gets 15-20 MPG should last at least 3-4 days on a tank... with a good amount of driving.

Oh, and that's another thing. I think it would be interesting to incorporate odometers to vehicles. This way you can see how long you've had a certain car. Perhaps an older car that you steal will have nearly 100K miles on it, or a sports car you steal in a parking lot has 5K on it. I think it would be interesting to add that feature.

  7. I enjoyed Los Santos the most because of the gang territories, the tall buildings and city center, and the overall complexity. There are so many different parts of Los Santos that it's almost like many cities in one. For example, you have the main city, beaches, hills, country, and the poor and gang parts. So much. :)

  8. I've been thinking as I was playing GTA since GTA:III. I was driving around using my imagination as I have completed all the missions and such. I pulled into a gas station and pretended to fill up. It then struck me that a few additions would really make this game interesting. Some of these may have been suggested as I have not read all 51 pages.

    1) I think it would be a great idea to have cars run on a limited amount of fuel. When you steal a car, it would have a random amount of gas. Perhaps the driver was on the way to the station and it is nearly out of gas. Or, it could have been recently filled up and it's on F. This would add the need to fill up your vehicles on long missions or the ones you store in your garage. Gas stations would be scattered around the map and you would pull in and the "mission red area" would engage and you would fill the tank to full, and then you would have the option to pay the amount you owe. You could, of course, try to drive away without paying but as a result you would have one or two stars added.

    2) In addition to this, vehicles with more gas would have a greater explosion and would be heavier. You could have the abililty to puncture the gas tank if you were shooting at the vehicle, and gas could slowly leak out. If you are in a police chase, you might run out of gas, forcing you on foot or quickly to the gas station.

I think adding realism to the next GTA would make it a lot more fun and at the same time more challenging. Adding limited fuel and gas stations could open up a deeper spectrum to the game.

Perhaps the higher performance vehicles could require racing fuel or higher octane fuel where you can only get them in select areas.

There are so many things you can do with this feature.

And this could also apply to aircraft, boats, motorcycles, etc.

To sum it all up, I would: add limited fuel, add gas stations, add physics to the vehicles relation to gas, and add stealing of gas.

  9. how lazy are people becomming now, when it was just on PS2 we discussed stradegies (spelling ahhh) and gave tips

but now its on PC the stuck player just hands out his/her save fileĀ  <_<

I agree. I cruised through the PC version (don't have a PS2) without any problems. I don't understand why so many people are complaining about not being able to do some missions. Then people go and use cheats and they expect it to be easier. NOT. It messes up your save game and it isn't worth it. Just do the frickin missions like the rest of us did. NO MORE COMPLAINING.
