  1. Edit: I was typing this while Sky added his reply For the 'running fast': while the game is running, alt-tab or press the 'Windows' key to get back to the desktop. Bring up the 'Task Manager', click the 'processes' tab, find gta_sa.exe & right click on it, click on 'set affinity' & uncheck cpu 1 so that cpu 0 is the only one checked. That should help your speed problem. Edit: This may solve your sound problem also but if it doesn't see below. For the sound, click the 'start' button & click on 'Run', type in 'dxdiag' (without the single quotes (') & click the 'sound' tab & set the 'Hardware Sound Acceleration Level' to 'Basic'. Hope this helps.
  2. I had that happen in a chain game hosted on another forum. It's a glitch that happens when a player that has Version 1 of the game uses the Version 2 main.scm & script.img files. Well, that's how it happened to us & it happened after End of the Line was completed.
  3. Yeah, it happens but it's rare & the circumstances have to be just right. If the guy would have taken off in the opposite direction there would've been a chance to lose Millie. Hope that helps.
  4. Like frontier says, make sure you have all the latest driver updates (video, controller(s) & computer). You could check your settings & make sure it's set to 'mouse & keys' & not set to 'joypad'. You could also try to delete the gta_sa.set file found in the '\My Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files' folder. The game will create one if it doesn't find it. Hope this helps.
  5. It's not in SA. In Vice City you just walk up to a clerk at the cash register & point a weapon at him/her, wait a few seconds until the money appears on the counter, pick it up & then you must make your get-away, you'll have a 3-star wanted level so get to a pay 'n spray or save point or find some bribes. The stores that you can rob are maked on the map that came with the game.
