  1. Why did I move here? I guess it was... the enormous, freaking gigantic landscapes. Look at those handcrafted rocks and the mini-waterfall. This game is setting up to be the best Grand Theft Auto ever imo.

If you go to the GTA V offical site you will see three spots reserved again for pictures. Another sneak peak Friday, its possible.

  2. However, Devil's Advocate, me being not so excited just yet... the bigger the map, the longer mission travels will be! haha Kind of a 'two way street', In terms of just sheer space, taking so long could mean that that space is not just there for the sake of a larger game, or planes validity

Taxies man. I for one wouldn't mind the long trips. I can see myself now listening to some psychedelic rock station while driving on the highway with the mountains in the distant. I'm really excited for what Los Santos has to offer. With Rockstar taking the approach of quality over quantity, in terms of the amount of detail they are adding to the enviornment. I feel that they will really make the city come alive like never before (the homeless people under the bridge).

Now what I am most looking forward to is news on the main character(s). Only time will tell. Also the second screenshot is the best imo.

  3. Notice the bridge in the background of the first picture, man the map must be really something else.

Also anyone else think Rockstar should change the picture on the newswire (right now it features Max), yeah I know it also says GTA V in the headline, but some people may still dismiss it, wasn't really expecting this at all. Awesome R*

  4. The countryside. Its left to our imaginations to fill in what we would want based on the trailer. The enormous size of Mt.Chilad just sets the bar for what's to come. With Rockstar saying V will be the biggest GTA yet, I can picture the following areas to be making a return Whetstone, Flint County, Red County, and bits of southern Las Venturas.

Oh, and information on the Wanted level system and the main characters. Of course I can't wait for the V website to go 'fully' up. Rockstar did such a good job with the IV site imo.

  5. Police

Realistic police (killing NPC's won't give you a wanted level if no one sees you). K-9 dogs. After 4-stars you will have to lose the helicopter following you to have wanted level go down. Wanted level is not as easy to lose like in IV.

    Weapon System

Dual wielding pistols. Wider arrange of melee weapons. More fluid animations. More blood and gore. Weapon customization: silencers on pistols or rifles (like in the trailer)

    Enivironment

Larger city (2x size of IV). Huge countryside with full size mountain range and forest. Desert terrain. Small cities and many side missions to particpate in.

More interiors, vertically too. High rise building. Ability to buy apartments, condos, houses.

A diverse weather system: at one point it could be sunny and then you have a thunderstorm. Heavy fog, beautiful sunsets and sunrise, or drought in some parts of the country.

    Transporation

Planes, car customization, body shops, bicycles, jet skis.

    Clothing

More stores! Suits for that party overlooking Los Santos or sweats when you have a messy job to take care of. Lots of different choices.

    Storyline

A long storyline (like IV). Character cameo's from IV or other GTA's.

  6. Another thing i thought of is, with gta4, they said they were making an exact replica of NYC. gta games are known to consist of connected islands that open up as the game progresses. if they are planning to make an exact replica of LA, how are they gonna do the "islands" system?

That had yet to cross my mind, also I think you are the first person to bring that up on this site.

Well its possible that the Mount Chilliad part of the map will be separated from Los Santos by water, and likewise the desert countryside too. In theory each of these countrysides will have their own medium-size city that will branch out to smaller towns, that will be accessible after the bridges have opened up.

  7. sanandreas_map.jpg

Yes, Los Santos was the first city you could access. IMO it Rockstar wouldn't use a physical barrier to prevent us from going any further. The hillbilly countryside was above Los Santos. San Andreas wouldn't be complete without Las Venturas, the desert, and San Fiero huge bay area. I 100% believe these two cities will be in the final game.

  8. So Enema is the name of the club, huh? For those who don't know it is the insertion of liquid into the bowels via the rectum as a treatment for constipation.

Maybe a reference to the Rectum club from the movie Irreversible. Or Rockstar being comical.

I believe that in GTA 4 Jerry Kapowitz was going to Vice City to open up a liquor store.

  9. Funny I had the exact opposite feeling. The palm trees and beach were similar to Vice City's Oceandrive, but I was estatic to see San Andreas return. I love Vice City, but the possibilties are far greater with San Andreas. Think about the things that Vice City doesn't have: mountains, multiple cities, deserts, forests, different terrain, and planes. It looks like based on the trailer that they are paying closer attention to the details of the cities (based on Los Santos) so that is a plus.

  10. I'm not taking any credit for this but a user on the Rockstar Newswire CommonSeb noticed that @ the 55sec. mark while the man is pushing the sign into the dirt on the driveway the # of the house is "2405".

Now as we know the song used in the trailer is Ogden' Nut Gone Flake which was released May 24, 1968. http://en.wikipedia...._Nut_Gone_Flake

Speculated release date: May 24, 2012. Interesting no? Thoughts?

    Edit: Fixed link.

  11. Amazing.

The countryside in the trailer and mountains almost bring a tear to my eye. Its my childhood before my eyes. The trailer is perfect. It confirms that Los Santos is one of the cities and we can rightfully assume that San Fiero is back because of the large mountains.

Graphics look great too, but the gameplay is more important and Rockstar didn't dissapoint.

So the narrator is the main character right? He does sound a bit older, late 30's?

And did I not say it before the mountains look MASSIVE!

  12. Well someone mentioned Ireland eariler, so on that subject why not Packie McReary. We did see him entering the airport at the end of BoGTY.

Also some other rumours that are out are saying that the city will be Los Angeles.http://www.rockstarinformer.com/article/Grand-Theft-Auto-V-set-in-Los-Angeles-says-Kotaku/88

I would rather V be a remake of San Andreas with larger cities (Los Santos was fine, but Las Venturas & San Fiero were not up to par imo) and enough countryside for planes, ect. Regardless if it will be be Vice ,San Andreas or a new city I'm just looking forward the teaser next week.

  13. Bravo. You successfuly caused me to search frantically for a minute or two. I'm to gullible I guess. Although its still not April 1 where I'm living for another hour. Defintely better than the previous April 1st jokes imo.

 Looks like I was the only one that got duped. /shakes head/

  14. So addicting. Cant stop watching youtube videos.

Just finished watching all of his series from episode one to forty-five. I was honestly very suprised at this. Wasnt expecting much going into watching the video, but its awesome. Too bad I never heard of this of the summer. Because I am busy with school, ect at the moment and this would be taking up my a ton of my time, but still very imaginative and entertaining.
