  1. I believe that I can help get you started, at least with what you will need or need to look for.

    If your modeling software is not configured to import the file types that you wish to convert to GTA you will need to search for appropriate import scripts and/or plug ins that allow you to do so. Your software website will most likely be a good place to start looking for what may be available. Also try web searching with Google. You will also need the appropriate export script for your modeling program- one that will export your models into Rederware DFF format to work with GTA.

    If you can not find the import/export scripts that you need for your model editor there is also the option of trying 3d object converting software. You may even need to convert to several different formats between programs to get your desired result.

    It's my understanding that the DFF object file type is basically outdated these days, so do not be surprised if it takes a lot of searching. SOME file types just have no import/export scripts... period, no matter how much searching is done.

    i have a plugin for autodesk to import and export dff, and yes..dff is outdated, but needed in SA.

    I know its hard to make and convert 3D models, i have tried with a corsair ww2 airplane with no success. And most of all 3D programs cant im/ex dff. And then the dff files need a coll file to make the vehicle to work, and also the skin/texture, this is just to much haha :)

    i wonder how you take vehicles from another games and then convert it to dff and txt files?

    I have ZModeler2 and Autodesk 3ds Max 2009, but they seams not to be able to import the files.

    im planing to convert planes from wings of pray into SA vehicles, the files seams to be in dxp or bin format, the files ends like this "spitfire_mk16.dxp" but i guess it is a bin file.

    I hope someone can help me get started and give me some advice on the road :)

  3. I think you can simply make paintjobs, you can't apply them in game but you can use a garage editor for it...

    If not, yeah you can do what you said, just remember that you have to use all of the names and ID's of the plane you want to replace, example for Stunt Plane handling:

    But one question, is all i need to do replace the handling? nothing else? i mean in "vehicles.ide" or something, so the stunt plane really looks and can fire like the rustler?

    Edit: just saw you had edit, thanks, i will try that!

    Edit2: i have done all you said, but it doesnt work, in GGMM the stunt is gone, and when i create one in game, it just white and still a stunt plane.

  4. Hi this is a wish list, just write down what aircraft you want us to fix.

    we will do it to do all that testing modo mods such as:

    hello! I wish for a space shuttle with 200 miles per second in speed

    and a large aircraft from Airbus

    i got an idea about duplicate vehicles in san andreas.

    So i have a question, can you take copy of the rustler file and rename it to the stunt plane and keep the vehicle id

    and it will be a fully working rustler plane when you replace the stunt plane?

    The reason why i ask is that i want to be able to use like 4 different skins for the rustler and not same on all.

    And if possible, i want to know how and what i need for stuffs to make it so, i have never mod any files except replace dff and txt files.

    I have add 2 cars in gta3 file with IMG Tool 2

    and my question is. the players who join my server will not se the cars i have add, only the original cars i have replaced right?

  7. Hello! i just got VC and i have play it online, but now i cant. i get in the game and then it says" CRC32 Checksum failed: data/deafult.ide. " when u should see your player.(it doesnt freeze) i tryed to remove my only 2-3 mods, a chevy car and DMagic1 weel mod..but it didnt work.

    what to do??
