    Go to your Start Menu, then "My Computer".

    Once your there, click the C Drive, then the folders, one by one until you reach the Rockstar Games Folder.

    C Drive/ Users / (Your Computer Name)/ AppData/ Local/ Virtual Store/ Program Files

    If you see a Rockstar Games Folder, delete it. Also make sure you can see all hidden folders.

    i ment in regedit, i know where it is in my computer

    i think i found the problem- object.dat and plants.dat, i cannot delete them, nor move them..... correct me if im wrong. If its not against copyright laws can someone upload theirs? nevermind, i got it working

    Well,i made this topic cuz i know that some of you did some pranks when you were little kids.Post some.I did a prank last year by calling taxis from all the companies to one place.You should have seen the mess.

    2nd prank:

    Once this guy (way older than us) used to get down and grab our ball while we were playing.Me and my friends got angry so much,that we come up with this.He always parks the car in front of the building entrance.Then,we standed and waited at the entrance.This time,when he stopped the car,his window in the car was opened,then we pissed in the car while he was driving it.You should have seen the look on his face.We scattered around and he never caught us.

    I know the problem.

    Follow these instructions to delete the GTA3img that is copied by UAC: (Make sure all Hidden Folders are seen.)

    My Computer>> C Drive >> Users >> (Your Name) >> AppData >> Local >> Virtual Store >> Program Files

    Delete the Rockstar Games Folder. Next Time when installing Mods make sure you run as Administrator.

    Could you be a tiny bit more specific??? sorry a have a major headache and a cold so im not thinking straight....

    That's not very helpful σαмε.

    Nissan, download CCleaner and scan your registry for invalid registry entries. Also remember to do everything Gerard said above. Once you have removed the registry, check Regedit (Registry Editor) (Start > Run regedit) and find the Rockstar Games directory (if there) and remove it. Restart your PC and try re-installing again.

    im confused.. what do you go in to find the root folder in Regedit?

    BTW i have vista

    Every mod I tried to install (Except Car mods) it said not compatible with SAMI

    Any help?

    oh sorry, im just so pissed at the fact that the game crashes when the start menu (of game) shows up :'( :'( :'( *bangs head against wall*

    In a topic discussed earlier, several gta3.img files corrupted my game, the same thing happened again!! INSTALLING WONT WORK!! ive tried everything but the game still crashes at the menu screen!!!

    c'mon guys!!!! im desprate!!

    We need more information, at least I do. What tools are you currently using to edit the GTA3.IMG? TXD Workshop is a great tool you can visually see the TXD and edits very quick. Also it will help us to know which car you are editing. The more you can tell us the better we can help you.

    im trying to put this in to replace the third uranus paintjob, and it doesnt work

    when i made a skin for a car, i replaced the original skin, put it back in gta3.img, started the game, and then when i try to buy the skin, the game crashes! please help!!!!!!!

    1. make sure you have the filename 100% correct no room for spelling errors.

    2. make sure you have a total of 16,297 files inside the GTA3.IMG if you have too few it will crash for sure.

    3. if you are using IMG Tool 2.0 sort by name make sure you don't have 2 file names the same.

    i was using spark tool, which replaces the files automaticly

    now the paintjob doesnt even show up!!!
