  1. Rockstar have announced that the free DLC pack entitled The Business Update will be arriving next week on Tuesday, 4th March. So there you have it. Judging by some of the inane comments left on Rockstar's Newswire and social media pages, you only want heists and nothing else. Well, sorry, you'll have to put up with all this FREE DLC for the time being. I know, I know, it's tough getting given stuff for free, but do try to just be grateful.
  2. It's been a while since we had any notable news to post, but today Rockstar announced a special event starting this weekend - the Valentine's Day Massacre. The nice thing about this update is that although the special will last for a limited time only, unlike the Christmas special any items you acquire will be kept forever in your inventory. And to get the hype train going again, Rockstar signed off the announcement by saying: "We will also have more information soon for other forthcoming GTA Online content updates including the Dangerous Business Pack, Online Heists, an expansion to the Creator tool and lots more."

  6. Thanks but unfortunately iOS doesn't natively support Tagalog as of iOS 7. Strange since Wikipedia says there are almost 30 million speakers of it, many of the languages supported have far fewer than that. Perhaps iOS has such a small market there that they don't feel it's necessary to add it, seems most people there speak English pretty well anyway?

  11. Due to the large amount of files being uploaded to our database and lack of time on staff member's part, some of you are waiting more than a few days for your mods to be approved and are understandably getting frustrated and posting topics here about it. This topic should address some of the problems we face and help you understand our position and why we may not have approved your mod sooner. Why do our mods need to be approved by you? It's a safety and integrity measure. If we didn't approve/check mods ourselves, people could upload viruses and other malware and we'd be responsible for distributing it. On a less serious note, some people upload truly awful and poorly made mods that we simply do not want in our database. Why hasn't my mod been approved yet? We get a lot of mod submissions. It takes time to check each mod is what it's said to be, and that the file contains no viruses. A huge problem is with people uploading mods they've downloaded from other websites that they didn't actually make themselves. This means we often need to check the uploader is also the actual author of the mod. A backlog thus builds up since we can't check every minute of everyday, and so we end up missing genuine mods sometimes. I've waited more than 48 hours and my mod is still not approved, can I post here to bring it to your attention? Sure. If you're adamant your mod is worthy of inclusion in our database, and you are the one who's made it, then post the name/ID of it here and we'll check it out as soon as we see your post, and hopefully approve it. My mod was unapproved/deleted. Why? Reasons why this may have occured: Not your mod - file will either be deleted or attributed to the real author Duplicate - the mod is already in our database Contains virus / other malware Mod was very badly made, no readme etc. - also if you drew over a skin in MS Paint... we hate those :/ Is there any way I can skip the mod approval process? Yes there is actually. Authors with 3 or more files already approved will automatically bypass the process and have files immediately appearing in the database. This is in place because we believe that if you already have this amount of mods then in all likelihood you're a trustworthy person. Of course, should you then break the rules regarding mods you'll be warned or even banned and risk having some/all your files removed. What rules are there for uploading mods? You'll find these above the upload form. Why can't I delete screenshots or change the category of my mod? These limits were originally put in place to prevent abuse. i.e. people deleting all screens of their mods so people don't know what it looks like in game, or moving their mod to an inappropriate category so it's not easily found. Screenshot removal is something that will be added in the future though. In the meantime, if you need screenshots removed or the category changed, PM Chris on the forums and ask. If there's something I've missed, or anything you need clarification on, please post here. Otherwise, this topic can now be used to fasttrack your mod approval for those who are desperate

  14. Rockstar successfully launched GTA: San Andreas on iOS devices last month, followed by yet another unfortunate launch on Android a week before Christmas where no one was able to actually download the game on launch day. Naturally, Rockstar made good with an update to the Android version the next day, and the iOS version also received an update yesterday fixing a few bugs, and now they have finally officially announced the game's availability with a new trailer. Rockstar says GTA: San Andreas for mobile devices is the best looking yet, and features re-mastered, high-resolution graphics including lighting enhancements, an enriched color palette and improved character models. San Andreas on Android also supports compatible USB and Bluetooth Android controllers including the popular MOGA brand series. The iOS version also supports various controllers. If you haven't already got it you can get it for £4.99 ($ 6.99) for your iOS, Android, or Kindle HDX device from the App Store, Google Play, and the Amazon Appstore respectively. The Windows Phone version is apparently still coming soon. To celebrate the mobile release, Rockstar will be giving away 10 limited edition prize packs filled with various San Andreas gear.

  21. Rockstar have announced the first Snapmatic photo contest for GTAV, where you have a chance to win a Grand Theft Auto V prize pack that includes an iFruit phone case and phone decals plus an official GTAV tee and the sought-after Chop stash stuffed animal. You have until Monday to get your entries in, Rockstar say they are looking for originality and inspiration, so be creative. All you need to do is tag any photos you want to enter with the #EpicPhotobomb hashtag, which you can do on the Social Club website. For full details on how to enter see the Newswire post. Contest is void in certain countries and where prohibited. See www.rockstargames.com/socialclub/events for official rules and eligibility details.
  22. It's here, the epic game first released back in 2004 on the PlayStation 2 has now available today for various iOS devices! There's still no official announcement from Rockstar about it, and the game has been available for almost 24 hours now in some countries such as Australia and New Zealand. GTA: San Andreas is one of the first games on the App Store to feature full support for MFi controllers. You'll need a fairly new-ish device to be able to run this demanding game, so do check the description for supported devices before purchasing. The game will set you back £4.99 / $ 6.99 / €5.99. If you're an Android or Windows Phone user we're afraid you'll have to wait until next week to get your hands on this, it's unclear why there is a short delay for these two systems but let's hope Rockstar can get it out ASAP. If you're an iOS user and your device is supported, you can go and buy San Andreas now on the App Store.
  23. The new capture mode for GTA Online, first teased a couple of weeks, is now live with title update 1.08 for GTAV. Capture is Rockstar's unique take on the well known "Capture the Flag" mode seen in many multiplayer games. Capture has four different modes, here's what Rockstar have to say about each one: Capture update is out now on both PS3 and Xbox 360, and you can check out the Rockstar Support page for the full patch notes for this update.
  24. The forums have been upgraded from version 3.2 to 3.3 of Invision Power Board. The majority of the new features are behind the scenes stuff. There's some improvements to mod/admin side of things and search engine optimisation - basically nothing new for you guys to see or use. One minor feature that's been added is when posting a new topic, you now have the option to automatically share it to your friends on facebook and/or twitter (if you've connected your accounts). Just tick the boxes below the file attachment area if you wish to do this. Apart from that I don't think there's anything new you should know about. As usual, do post here if you spot any bugs or if something has broken and tell us what's up. I'll try and fix any problems ASAP. UPDATE: I've re-enabled your Gamertag/PSN/Steam profile links appearing in topics underneath your avatar (if you've filled in these profile fields). You can change them if you wish.
