This place still exists? This is like a time machine

I remember posting here in like 2007-08, the summer before GTAIV. I was like 13 years old, lol. I have weirdly fond memories posting here. I was a stupid kid. I remember all the old users, like chris, chris82, gerard, ps3_player, jace, spider_vice, artur, harwood_butcher and a few others. It was a good time. I remember the heated console wars thread. The speculation of GTAIV. Some people were really mean but I was a stupid 13 year old kid, most were really nice. I was banned for something stupid, is it still ban evasion if it's 12 years later? I hope not. I had a fairly reprehensible screen name, so I won't repeat it. I probably won't post here after this but I was just curious. Also, I'm disappointed in the direction R* is going in. RDR2 might be the last great R* game.

Not expecting any replies, just thought I'd reminisce about a different time. Most members I remember have probably moved on.

Hi mate, glad I wasn't the only 12-13 year old posting on here haha, I joined here in around 2004 or something silly to find out more about GTA San Andreas, was a great community with some brilliant chats and discussion. I can't believe I'm sat here posting this in 2020 as a 27 year old, thinking about the stupid shit I used to post on here! Love reading through the numerous alive check in posts here to see who else still thinks about this place haha

  2. Stopping by to say it's quite nice to see some old names hanging around still, even if the last post was a month ago. I have been registered on GTAForums for longer than I have been here, but back then I ended up choosing to participate more often here as things seemed a bit less overwhelming, we were more of a close-knit community. I still remember being a part of the Mafia group here in the forums and having great moments here and there on MTA. But times have changed indeed, for a varied number of reasons.

When the forum was on its heyday we were all much younger than we are now (oh god all my shitposts), I think that is one of the main reasons the forum has lost its touch. People started growing up, having other priorities, barely having any time to play GTA, and some of them probably moved to more attractive communities as they had a lot more to discuss and a lot more people to interact with as TGTAP started emptying out. Regardless, though, it's nice to see a lot of you are still alive, I have talked semi-recently with Llama and Scott, Alvas has left a comment on my profile a few weeks ago, and it's very nice to see you still around, Rem!

Hai Sv :P hope you're well my friend!

Ha, I miss playing MTA, so many hours put into that!

  3. Thoughts with the families of those effected by the Paris tragedy, and also anyone effected by the Russian airliner which was blown up, which has today been proven to be a terrorist attack, and is getting a lot less media time than the Paris attacks. I can't help but think either London or somewhere in the states is going to be their next target, especially with the British secret service foiling three terrorist plots in the last month alone, it only takes one to slip through to cause all kinds of atrocities.

  4. This forum, believe it or not, used to be very active! I firstly joined here around 2004/2005 when I was a mere 13/14 years old and I'm still here even after a few banned accounts. I do distinctively remember this forum being active with a working gang system, and a kind of community feel. I also forgot about this forum perhaps with age, now being 22, after I joined here years and years ago. People just move on and have things to do...I have work and a girlfriend so I don't get much time to even just play GTA let alone come and post on here. I also have an account on GTAforums but I'm not a huge fan, I used to prefer it on here. Gone are the days of the orange/grey skin and GTA San andreas being the latest GTA to hit the market. This place provides good memories and many wasted hours. Chris and co have done a wonderful job maintaining the forum and website despite their being very little users.

  5. I've always said the human race would probably end up destroying itself - talk about intelligent spiecies eh! Wars wont ever stop as you have countries completley dominated by religion, people fighting over who believes in the true religion, all this bloodshed over some bullshit
