I know what you mean. I have a five year old nephew and whenever he's over we watch Sponge Bob (Dora and Diego are actually ok) not to mention the new Nick Toons.
They're funny because they're stupid and disgusting. Not funny because they're funny. My parents could sit and watch Rugrats or Doug and be entertained, Spongebob makes me want to shoot myself.
Rugrats.... And Doug.... Oh boy.... The good days of Nickelodeon.
I was always quite fond of Hey Arnold, Rocket Power, and the Wild Thornberrys from that era on Nick.

At the left bar when people post there is a section that tells you how many posts they have. Possibly this could be changed to show how many posts total they have, and than also what # post that particular post is.
And I also think that Fun and Off-Topic should count as posts, or at least count as half posts.

Cool, I tried Word and the UI is pretty much the same as 07 but it's got a few new features that are pretty neat.

So, Office 2010 is guaranteed to be out by October 2010, and now the beta came out.
What do you guys think of it? I haven't tried it yet but it doesn't look a whole lot different than Office 2007.

He has Sapphire Radeon 3450, 256MB
Compare with mine NVidia GT 8500, 512MB, which one is better?

those cab errors are likely corrupt files or something similar, so either the disc is scratched or you got a pirated copy that doesnt work.
And if you've got a pirated copy then get out because we're not gonna help you.
It's always worth buying the game, because it's only like $30 and it's guaranteed to work fine as long as your PC can handle it.

I think everyone is getting too carried away with location, for me the timeline is going to be hugely important, now that they introduced laptops and internet etc. I would like them to do a 70s theme but can't see it happening now though.
I wanna see something in like 2015 . . .

I always think is the CPU.
I think 1 GB is actually match with XP version.
So my video card is should be in " Recommended Requirement " right?
If my Video card is better then I will quit my mind of changing video card. Then change the motherboard/processor!
And too, I may insert one more GB of RAM into my PC. I think it doesn't use a lot of money, right?
Well, as long as NOTHING else is running in the background then your RAM should be enough. Video card, should be enough for low settings. CPU, doesn't meet the minimum requirement but it's almost there.
If you don't already have the game, upgrade first. If you already have it, try it anyway.

I think most of the people including me will not bet on this. Since, its Obvious that the next GTA will not be set on Vice City.
I'm thinking there's a 99% chance it'll either be there or San Andreas, more likely VC since that came first in the III Era.

Get your Gulftown in the grey market.
The Intel Gulftown chip with its six cores, expected to be called the Core i9, isn't even close to being ready for the market. But somehow engineering samples have been leaking out into the hands of testers. Just last week, we saw benchmarks of an early engineering sample of Gulftown, which impressed with its six cores.
Such engineering samples are sent out from Intel to a very exclusive crowd, all of which are bound by explicit non-disclosure agreements. Break such agreements almost always burns bridges, so you'd think that seeing a Gulftown processor on the public market for sale would be impossible. But shockingly, one such Gulftown engineering sample found its way to Ebay.
A listing on Ebay described the product as a "Intel 6-Core Xeon Westmere Gulftown 2.4GHZ LGA1366 ES Processor" and qualified itself as tested and working sold at a final price of $1,200. The chip was pictured in the listing without any of it identification marks blurred, meaning that Intel will be able to track which one of its chips ended up on Ebay.
The seller of the chip lists the item as being located in Taiwan, which leads us to believe that it could be an engineering sample leaked out from one of Intel's chipset partners – but we'll likely never know for certain.
Gulftown engineering samples in the wild aren't limited to just Taiwan, however, as Nordic Hardware reports that an even faster chip was sold on the OCTeamDenmark forums (Google cache version here) for around $850.
What do you make of this – crazy deal, or just downright crazy?

no its a Geforce 9100, this is nowhere close to playing it. if it was 9 series nvidia, you'd be looking at 9500GT minimum. also your CPU is 2.1GHz minimum is 2.4GHz for AMD.

nah the CPU is 1.6 you need at least 1.8. if you upgraded to 4gb ram and a 9500 instead of 8500 it's a step in the right direction, but you would still need to upgrade your CPU...
As long as he had absolutely nothing else running in the background, he could have a chance.
What I always is that if you're wondering whether or not you should buy the game, then your specs decide. If you've already got it, even if your specs are way below then you may as well try it . . .

No I wouldn't say they are at all alike. Yes it's their fault for having unprotected sex, but that doesn't mean people should have to resort to dangerous and life risking things.
The had unprotected sex, the consequence that comes with it is a baby. As I've said, abortion is just a fucked up way to get a person who made a huge mistake out of trouble, at the expense of someone else.
Plus wouldn't you rather know that a child was killed before it had begun to have thoughts? When it's still the size of a golf ball rather than someone carry the child to term and punch a hole in it's head or just throw it away like garbage? The child that happened to started to breathe oxygen, it was alive.
But all the thoughts and influence on society it WOULD HAVE HAD for the 80 years after it will never happen.
As far as rape, yes the baby did nothing wrong but that doesn't mean that a woman who's had a traumatizing event should have to carry that with her for 9 months while people stare at her and think "slut" because she's most likely not married.Which is exactly why I said I'm mixed on it. Both the woman and probably the baby will suffer, and neither of them are at fault.

Let me refine what I said. Every human life is sacred. And every other life is also worthy of consideration. In the bible it says that God gave us the creatures of Earth to use as we see fit (eating cows, cutting down trees, etc.) but not in an overly amount or abusive way.
And the point is that we're supposed to PREVENT murder.

I think that a mod should be made, a simple skin, which inserts her into the game. What do you think, it shouldn't be too hard?

I'd much rather see a baby put up for adoption. I can't stand the people who will say "Well I wasn't ready to be a parent" Shouldn't have had sex. There's oral sex, masturbation (alone or mutual) hell anal sex = no kids possible.
"Couldn't afford birth control" It's a lot cheaper than a kid. Or again, don't have sex. It's not like breathing no matter what people seem to act like. I've gone months without an orgasm. Does it suck, hell yes, but I'm still walking around.

I think that there should be 8 stars or so to allow for greater diversity. Also, the cops really should use less fire at lower levels but me smarter, like it would be in real life. Shooting at or killing a cop/pedestrian should also get you up to higher levels more quickly to also reflect real life to a greater degree.
1* A simple traffic violation, e.g., speeding, if you pull over you lose $200 and drive off. If you don't comply you get to level 2.
2* Traffic felony, 2 or 3 cops chase you, no weapons.
3* A few cops chase you (up to 8), may fire at your tires and set up roadblocks / spikestrips.
4* Same as Level 3 in GTA 4
5* Same as Level 4 in GTA 4
6* Same as Level 5 in GTA 4
7* Same as Level 6 in GTA 4
8* Level 6, plus the army, everything they got will be used to take you down.
A little more abstract: When you're arrested, you actually see yourself in jail, and then being deported back to whatever country the character came from (30 second cutscene) and then you must break out as another mission.

Hey guys, i know where all the sounds are for GTA3, and i can only find things like the radio stations, people that you work for speaking, police radio, but i cant find any weapon sounds, pedestrian sounds, things like "You can sail the 7 seas" and "IN THE NAVY!" I cant find any of those sounds! Does anybody know where i can find those?
Try unpacking SFX.raw with this program.
All the sound effects are located throughout that file.

Well last night I was looking for an audiobook to download for Treasure Island for my Mom.
I'm pretty sure that what I downloaded was a virus. AFTER I extracted the .zip file I scanned it for viruses and AVG didn't find anything. But the folder would not open, and neither would any other folder or program all of a sudden. So I reset the computer and it wouldn't boot. Just gets stuck at a black screen after Vista's loading logo.
Long story short, it won't boot into safe mode
or the Windows disc anymore either, although it did right after I first had this problem.
So next I restored a backup to the SSD from November 30th. Still didn't boot.
Now I'm in Ubuntu (live CD) and when I try to access my hard drives it says (for both): $LogFile indicates unclean shutdown and cannot access them, as the NTFS marks them for use.
What do I do now?
Is this a possible side effect from when I reset the computer when it was shutting down from safe mode?
