Forgive me if this has already been discussed as I don't follow the forums, but have we determined when GTAV takes place? if not, the orange tag on the license plate could suggest it takes place in 2012 or 2013.

I'd like rockstar to stop showing us these pointless screenshots and show us cars driving on the streets so we can see that, people shooting guns etc. the game play most of us care about the most

seriously rockstar? you makes us wait 8 months since the trailer and this is all you have to show for us? 2 random screenshots that pretty much show nothing? ...not impressed at all

Hollywood / Vinewood is at the edge of LA / LS far as I know. Yeah i think it is too. its almost kind of separate from the city

i saw on another site that they suggested the possibility of there being a city in the game called Las Puerta (San Diego), cuz the freeway shown is the I-5 Las Puerta Freeway. the LA portion of the real life version of interstate 5 is known as the san diego freeway, so being able to go to the city of san diego could be a possibility and would be awesome

most cities are "New York" huge? no lol. no where close. im sure things are different in the UK, but here in america (where the game takes place), the overwhelming majority of cities are small. we only have a few big (land) cities, a lot of our cities are smaller than the entire map of san andreas. Another thing i thought of is, with gta4, they said they were making an exact replica of NYC. gta games are known to consist of connected islands that open up as the game progresses. if they are planning to make an exact replica of LA, how are they gonna do the "islands" system?

well you gotta realize the city of new york is HUGEEEEEEEEE! theres no way theyd be able to fit that big of a city into a video game =/

im kind of pissed they wont have the entire city, but i'll deal with it as long as they eventually recreate san francisco and vegas i'll be happy. i guess due to the size of LA, they couldnt really do all three cities without significantly downsizing each one

yea i was hoping theyd make the entire san andreas, however at least they can focus on making an entire large legit replica of LA rather than a tiny half ass one like in the original SA. I'm sure they'll do one for san fran and las vegas as well. and im so glad to see that it takes place in present day again. does biggest gta game ever mean the biggest map?

*Present day setting *popular recognizable modern day music (Unlike gta4) *no more cell phone *no more flying out front windshield *more side mission and activities *ability to drink and drive without going on a date *tanks *planes *swimming under water *more things to do/find (GTA4 had nothing to do) *entire state of san andreas redone (the trailer only showed los santos and some countryside areas) *character modifications *purchasing homes

one thing that could help is to get staff members that are respectful. i stopped regularly posting here a couple years ago cuz most of the staff are, sorry to say, assholes in situations where its really unnecessary. and it makes me really uncomfortable that i cant post my thoughts without them attacking me...just an idea

the jaws one is true! ive seen it. i took an airplane and flew miles east of las venturas. i crashed into the water and tried swimming back but i flew out so far that it wouldve taken forever to do so, so i decided to just drown myself. i swam super far down and all of a sudden a huge shark swam under me right in my path. startled the shit out of me haha. and yes im 100% positive that it was a shark and not a dolphin. i know for sure what i saw

havent been here in a while so idk if i've already posted this, but i think it'd be cool to play in san diego. i mean its one of the biggest cities in the US and theyve already remade nearly every other big city (ex. new york, LA, las vegas etc) so why not san diego?
