He didn't say it wasn't in Southern California.

If you want that, why don't you just play Burnout or Need for Speed?

What? There was a fairly heavy emphasis on cars in GTA San Andreas, as annoying as that whole subculture is....just like there was in SA.
Funny.

It would, but I've always thought that the Pegorino and Gravelli characters in GTA IV was Rockstar's way of addressing the fate of guys like Tommy.

I'm hoping that Rockstar realized what a mistake that was and have decided to add more fun features for SA.If they haven't released a San Andreas Stories by now, i wouldn't be too quick to jump at the idea of one being released. Since R* developed Liberty City as the first game for PS2 and PS3, my guess is they will go ahead and re-invent Vice City next, at least doubling the size of the city. With that in mind, R* took out planes for realism in IV, so i wouldn't think they would be in the next game either. I am looking forward to a new San Andreas though, better graphics, redesigned cities, larger ground coverage, more glitches, and of course, the return of planes.

I doubt Tommy even has an empire anymore. As much of a badass as Tommy was, he probably ended up like Pegorino.I wouldn't say so. The guy leading the heist seems to have a different build to him, and different hair. And let us remember that at this point, Tommy is 60 years old. He wouldn't be as up to it physically anymore, and with his empire - barring some interim catastrophe - I doubt he'd need to go back to robbing banks for money.

I don't think it would anything new to the game, TBH. It would essentially be different looking Liberty City. At least with Los Santos/San Andreas, the satirical nature of the games sort of demands that certain things be included like the Muscle Beach, the desert with the oil rigs, etc.Setting the new gta in chicago would be awesome though

I'd like to see some returning characters from the GTA 3 era just because I'd like to see what they're up to now. Also, it would be cool if places like Grove Street were still around in the new Los Santos, though it probably won't be. Character customization on par with San Andreas would also be pretty cool. Additionally, I'd like there to actually be some stuff to spend money on especially once the game is finished. In GTA IV you couldn't purchase any property or buy any businesses. What's the point in having money if there's nothing to spend it on?

They only called it that because all you could pretty much do in the first GTA games was run around and steal cars. So like I said, go play Need for Speed or Burnout or something if you're not happy with the direction GTA has gone.
