The Simpsons XXII is the next game in the Simpsons gaming stint, named XXII due to it being the 22nd game based on the cartoon. The parody started when Electronic Arts revealed the new game with a countdown timer which used Roman numerals, looking near identical to that of Rockstar Games GTA IV count downer (only difference being the counter itself which is in the Simpsons font). The timer counts down to a launch on May 9th, 2007 at 2PM EST (7PM UTC). Interesting idea, and pretty funny too. Wonder what Rockstar would think of it? Can we be expecting the count downer to be put on Fox like GTA IV's was? Nope, I don't think so atleast. Just that it's the 22nd Simpsons videogame. Don't worry there will probably be a lot more info when the trailer comes out on the 9th. Probably thought of all the parents and/or politicians that would complain if a game made primarily for kids (which is what simpsons games usually are, even tho mostly adults play them probably) has connotations with a massive violent gang game like GTAIV.
