I have a stainless Mini 14 that it's based on. Fires the same 5.56 military issue round as the AR15 (yes, have one)/M16.

It's almost identical to the .223 rifle cartridge except for the heat treating. you can safely use the 5.56 in anything labeled

for .223 (usually bolt action), however, the neck of the 5.56 has been heat treated to make it softer. Case separations

were a problem for the early M16s until someone figures that one out.

The one you're thinking of is the AC556.

The AC556F is real popular w/ DEA, FBI or other law enforcement that spends a lot of time getting in & out of helis. It's on

my wanted list.

It's still the weekend here & here they are,

On top is the Mini 14, basically the "Kruger" from Vice City (on the rear rooftop of the "Swank" house). The rifle design is a

direct descendant of the US WWII M-1 Garand. Light, accurate & reliable, real popular as a varmint rifle in the US.

The AR15 is not a true Colt, it's built on a PWA (as good as Colt) lower receiver & a mil-spec E2 upper w/ titanium firing pin

and aftermarket trigger parts.

Both are semi auto & fire the 5.56 NATO round.

Gerard, could we see more British Steel next time you're at drills?

Concealed carry will cost about $250, probably get it after Christmas. The State I live in has "Open Carry", meaning I can

go out in public w/ a loaded firearm as long as it is carried in the open. Merchants can prohibit this in their establishments,

but it's never been a problem.

As for the air rifle, did you guys know in the late 1700's, possession of an air in France carried a mandatory death sentence?

Nepolean was that afraid of them. Similar power & range to contemporary muskets, but no report or flash. They also were

a lot faster to reload. Gives you a new respect for the air rifle. (looks like a nice one, BTW.)

Actually there is one :P

The P88 was a semiautomatic pistol developed by the Walther company of Germany in 1988[1], hence the model name P88. Its main feature was a high-capacity double-stacked magazine designed for military and law enforcement use.

In 1996, Walther discontinued the pistol in favour of the slightly lighter and smaller P88 Compact, which was also cheaper to manufacture.[1]

The Walther P88 is highly prized among collectors and sport shooters due to its superb accuracy (1.5 to 2 inch groups at 25 yards) and high-quality construction.

German manufacturer Umarex produces a licensed CO2 version labelled Walther CP88, which is in fact a revolver with a hidden eight round cylinder
