My old Computer specs

IBM (Infernal Bowel Movement) (Cr)aptiva 166

Bought from a pawn shop, Had to wipe the HDD (8 gig, I think). Previous owner had like 11 net services on it & deleted part of the OS to make room. No problem till I discovered it had the "All in Wonder" card. Insert F-bombs here.

"All in Wonder" had the audio, video, modem & drive controllers on it so I needed a driver for my CD Rom to reload the OS.

Retard at IBM wanted to sell me a bootable CD w/ the OS & couldn't understand why that did me no good. Turned out the CD Rom had to have the proprietary driver for that machine to work, a 7meg file they quit supporting.

Finally paid Best Buy to reload it & they told me next time all I needed was a Win 95 boot floppy. Spank you IBM!

Me, as for my old PC, I still use it. Here's the specs:

This is what my PC looks like, although I use a Philips 17-inch CRT

Hewlett-Packard Pavilion 7855

996Mhz Pentium III CPU

MS Windows XP Crap (er, Home) Edition, SP1 (I once attempted an SP2 upgrade recently, but it ended up in a power outage and a broken OS; I repaired it later, the original OS was Windows ME, aka Moron Edition)

A Philips 17-inch monitor

Connexant Audio/56K Modem

A DSL connection

A LAN card

Mitsumi CD-RW writer (often used)

Pioneer DVD drive

60GB HDD (replete with old documents and maybe some spyware)

Oh man I changed my PC this year ( January ) and the old one had

AMD Athlon with 1.149 Ghz

128 MB RAM ( I upgraded it in 2006 with 256 RAM )

nVidia MX 440 AGP with 8x as a graphics card

40 GB HDD

LG 52x32x52x CD-RW

Right now, you can find it in the corner of my room, about 2 metres away from me, near the plant

The monitor + speakers are the same for my new PC ... 5 years old ... one speaker is "dead" :(

My first PC(the thing I've got now) has:

128MB of RAM

S3 Graphics Prosavage KM133(you ever head of it?)

AMD Duron Processor

ASUS Motherboard (forgot the type)

CRT Monitor, forgot how big it is, but it isn't exactly large.

Made by Hi-Grade, should be called low-grade

Oh yeah and running XP Pro SP1(I haven't got internet at home and SP2 won't fit on my memory stick)

I got this in 2002 and it's somehow running XP, but I'm sure it's designed for 98, for a start it has the 98 logo on the keyboard instead of XP...

That's what you get when you order from a catalogue, I wasn't into computers at the time I got it so that's probably the reason it ain't good, it could also be Hi-Grades fault.damn rip-off it cost £1000... >.<

That's what I remember, I'm using my Dads PC at moment anyway.

edit: just checked where my KM133 came from and according to what it said it's an onboard video card...

I believe they got this in 1990 or so, but passed on to me:

Tandy (OLD RadioShack brand name)

Windows 3.1

RAM 64 MB (I think, not positive)

Hard Drive not sure :(

All I know is that it pwned like everything I ever had. I used it all the time. But yeah, the only thing I remember was Tandy and Windows 3.1 and it was one of the best you could get a while ago.

I had a Win 95 with a stagering 2.4 GB HDD. Our pride and glory at that time :P

Haha, mine was sortof like that.

32mb ram

??mb graphics(if any..)

1gb HDD

And unknown prossessor.

This was like... the first colored computer or some crap, it was horrable, yet decent at the time. Then I had another one that only had 64mbs ram, then got another after having that for about 5 years with 256mb ram, 128(or so) graphics, and now my current which is good but not great, 512mb ram, and 256mb graphics. :P

I got my first PC back in 2001. The list of all the goodies:

- CPU: Pentium III (I think it´s a Pentium) 899mhz speed

- 256mb RAM

- ATI Radeon 9000 Graphics Card

- Something Sound Card...

- 20gb HDD (It was bad even for that times...)

- 800x600 CRT Monitor

What was the motherboard, I don´t remember. And the speakers I got with it lasted me for 4 years.

 Except for mine having DOS 5/Windows 3.11, that's the BEST computer I ever owned. Ran "Star Wars: Dark Forces"

into the ground on it, racked up a lot of time on "Doom" while I was at it. I just found it in storage & I'm thinking of firing it

up w/ some of my old games just for the fun of it.

Rocketbox 4.2 (my current machine) is annoying me once again. Motherboard went & gave me the black screen of death.

Closer examination reveales several capacitors on the boadr were bulging.

I tried using a small hammer to flatten them out, but no luck.....
