i think you must be bored with my curiosity........

does anyone work here for R*

and what does blu-ray disk mean

and how much will a original disk cost

cause its is very expensive here....

here you get a pirated game for 1/2 dollar......

whats the cost of the original disk......

1. I doubt someone here works for R* <_<

2. Blu-ray disk is a disk that can hold up to 25 GB or 50GB dual layer ( the DVDs can hold up to 4.7 GB and 9 GB dual layer )

3. Original disk for what ? I think about $60 for the PS3 and XBOX360 version of GTA IV and my guess is $39.99 for the PC version ...

4. :bashhead: I dunno if there is a price here :) :) :)

5. Question answerd ...

Nobody here works for R*, and if they did they'd probably never tell us.

Blu-Ray is a type of disc. Like CD and DVD. You need a player that can read it. Your DVD drive won't do.

Original will be about 60 USD

I'm starting to gain a dislike to you.. Are you serious about getting a pirated version? Cause then you're in to get banned. Other then that, a Blu-ray pirate copy will cost you at least 30 USD cause the Blu-Ray discs are damn expensive. And to burn the discs you'll need to spend another 1000 USD to get the drive that can do that.

DVD's are much cheaper though.

So please, stop all Warez talk.

I live in India........

here original game comes after 5-6 months after it releases there

and the pirated comes within 3-4 weeks......

I am telling you the facts thats alll....

you once visit here and see 4 ur self

nobody buys original disks

and why are the original disks so costly

man its impossible to afford here

there are so many talented gamers here

but we cant show our talent as we are not so rich

thats Why?????

then what do you dodo u buy the original disks or what????and are there any communities in your place that fund gamers...if so you are very lucky here if you r a gamer nobody cares.......

No, gamers fund themselves unless they are sponsored, and that isn't all that common to my knowledge. People don't usually fund other people's addictions for no real reason.

Wait the 5-6 months, it's not that hard. Hell, due to my not owning a working PS2, I had to wait 8 months until I could get San Andreas.

They do in South Korea. The land of Starcraft championships and advanced cell phones that will never come to the States or Europe. And I think it's mainly cell phone companies that sponser Starcraft teams in Korea.

@Death: Yeah, that's cheaper then the games are here you know.

@Niko: I've been in India once, but for all I know software there is much cheaper.

I think you've got a slightly got it messed up. In Europe and the US we don't just buy every single fun game. They are fairly expensive so we wait and usually just play one game at a time. Like buying one game every 2-3 months.

I don't think they will ever release IV for the PC,

My Reasons:

1. They made V2 of SA so you can't mod it, I think they have had enough of modding.

2. We did not see PC versions of LCS or VCS.

3. The requirements on it will be ridiculously demanding so sales will be crappy.

before I get moaned at, its just my opinion I may be wrong.

What do you guys think anyways?

1. Wrong. Version 2 was made to patch the Hot Coffee feature.

2. Even though I'm a real defender of LCS and VCS being major GTA games, they were basically side games so people could wait for GTA IV. Plus, they were PlayStation exclusives.

3. Possibly. I can probably give you that since my own computer sucks.

Rashon. you got 1. and 2. right although I think 3.) can go either way like you said. Myself I own a Windows Vista and a XP which currently has very high settings and high cabablites. I personally would be extemely dissapointed if it didn't come out for PC. I really think the pc version is better (MY OPINION). Although I have yet to get a PS3 (saturday). To me this would be a major let down by R*. :)

1. It makes a statement on their website about the ability to modify V1, they're not exactly discouraging it. Also, as Rashon said.

2. They were originally only meant to be for PC, the PS2 port was an attempt to boost sales, because not many own / owned a PSP.

3. Just like any other game, it will run on low settings, HL2, Oblivion, Fear, Assasin's... all designed to look great, but can be played perfectly fine on a lower end PC.

I hate to repet myself but:

1. Why do you think they had enough of modding ? Because they were stupid enough to let pornografic data in the game, later to be discovered and transformed into the Hot Coffee mod ... It was R*'s fault 100%, the modder just discovered it <_<

2. Not only that LCS and VCS were not major titles, they were only released to boost the PSP sales, and later ported to PS2 for more money.Plus if I'm correct they were developed by R* Leeds and did not make it to the PC, whilst GTA 4 is a major title and developed by R* North, every GTA developed by it was released for PC.

3.Ridiculously stupid point ... Do I have to repet my self in each GTA 4 PC topic ? Are you forgetting that XBOX360 is using 2005 unable-to-upgrade technology and the PlayStation3 2006 technology ... Even a two year-old PC can rip the so called next-gen consoles apart ... I don't think it'll require a NASA type-of computer, if you can run Call Of Duty 4 you'll be able to run GTA IV. Let's say it requires a powerfull PC but in the other topic I said that there are 60 million DirectX10 capable PCs sold, whilst the PS3 and XBOX360 have sold around 32 million units ...

:rofl2: I actually tought it would be harder to prove you wrong.

your almost wrong in all of them.

as for the xtremely demanding graphics, i dont think so. i mean a ps3 isnt better than a pc (in my opinion) i have seen some of the games like motorstorm, and i wouldnt be suprised if my pc could run it better.

besides, if it comes out in october as some ppl say, alot of things might have changed, conserning the graphics engine

Gyco X is completely right in the graphics point :D

There's no reason this couldn't be played on any up to date PC. There's nothing so special about the graphics handling in the PS3 or Xbox 360 that would keep games like this from running on a decent PC. Most current PC games would actually have to be "dumbed down" to run decently on a PS3 or Xbox 360. Crysis is a good example. There's no way it would run on either console with the graphics maxed. I'm not a PC fanboy either. I have a 360 and totally love it but it's definitely not capable of doing what an up to date PC can do. I have GTA IV for my 360 but I still hope they come out with a PC version. If they didn't it would be totally due to the expense of trying to program the game to run decently on the many PC configs that are out there.

IF R* dont make a PC version... Some geek will!

It will be made and not only will it be made but it will have more features if the all the other GTA's are anything to go by. R* woul massively increase their sales and it would stay in the top 10 for a year!!! lol...

Especially with the new multiplayer feature in the game. Coz you have to have PS3 to get multiplayer. Or waste your money with Xbox 360... :s

1. The reason they came out with V2 of San Andreas was to get rid of the hot coffee mod so that the "AO" rating could be removed.

2. If I saw a PC version of a PSP game that would come out recently, I would shoot myself.

3. A PC version of GTA 4 would sell, but you would not require that much upgrading for your PC if the PS3/xbox have almost no problems running it. I mean, look at Half-Life 2 when that came out. That required many people to upgrade their systems but it still sold millions.

the graphics arent that amazing. have ppl totaly forgoten about Crysis, Assassins Creed, and the upcoming farcry 2?

In order to play Crysis you had to have a godlike computer, Assassins Creed had nice graphics...but if you didn't mind doing the same missions over and over again then it is the game for you, FarCry is one of my favorite game series so we'll see how that turns out. Currently, GTA 4 has amazing graphics for a consoul game and one that is completely open ended without any loading screens besides during cutscenes.
