Weather effects.

Recommended Posts

I Was wondering if there will be any weather effects?

Like PGR4 I think it would be good, Would you like this to be introduced to the game & has this been confirmed already?

Not sure ^_^

Also there has always been wind, or atleast objects making you feel wind. In GTA 3 there were newspapers/fliers on ground moving and in all gtas(Since GTA3) at storm water was wavy and stuff.

It would be cool if there was wind, blowing leaves and stuff all over the place.

Actually I think it would be cool when it rains, if there were puddles in the road, and when cars drive through them they splash.

I would agree for Hurricanes. Basically, Vice City was going to have A Hurricane coming on as I believe at the start of the game, but then again, it says it passes away. I mean, wouldn't we want to see some more special weather effects? I would, atleast, including Snow also.

Actually, they are putting improved weather effects in GTA IV; which means the cars' handling and appearance (i.e. water droplets on windshield) will be affected by rain, and Niko might be bogged down by snow and rain...

That would be great. Also, If their was snow coming on IV, It would be more harder to drive around since it would be slippery. Man, that would be fun riding on a fast car and starting accidents up.

Well I hope the weather effects are good, having a hurricane might be too hard to put in the game, although I will just be happy with rain and snow and the driving effects with weather. Maybe thunder and lightning could be a bit more realistic too, maybe some small floods.

I'm against full - blown 'hurricanes' like factor 3 winds and stuff. But small little vortexes that can like pick trash up off of the streets, knock ped's off their feet and stuff would be cool. Uncommon though, otherwise they'd lose their appeal... -_-

Droplets and stuff off the windscreen sounds fun. It'd also be nice if they blurred vision if you had the camera from inside the vehicle...

Its in the wrong location to have hurricanes I think. Snow would be awesome because the real Liberty City (NYC) has alot of snow in winter. Weather effects would be cool because we could see some weather what will decrease the amount of traffic such as thunder storms and Indeed snow.

Snowball fight anyone? :D having snow would be great, it would be fun driving when you are skidding all over the place, and seeing gang members make an ass of themselves by slipping over when they are trying to kill you

i think they should add in a bunch of cool rain effects (since its in october... i think) and it should have heat radiation effects (hopefully better than in Just Cause)

well as for the wind, that already is in San Andreas...

anyways it would be cool if they made i more realistic like when you are in a chopper and your close to a skyskraper the wind is more powerfull than if you are out in the open.

As much as I would like a Hurricane in GTA IV, it may not happen since its NY, but you never know since its R*..

You've got a point there. Hurricanes don't get to the northeast often and tornadoes are rare. The highest weather effects to fit into realism are high gusts of winds or once in a while, have some more developed thunderstorms.

We get hurricanes up here in the NE every once in a while. If they have seasons then I think it would be o.k. to implement it but they probably won't do it. Something that they seriously need to implement is snow. If they don't it really won't feel like NY that much.
