Hey all,

Just a quick shameless plug of a new site of mine (and friend at university). In short, it's going to be a network of fansites for new and upcoming TV shows (i.e. those in their first season). Feel free to sign up to the forums if it's something you're interested in, we could do with a bunch of active new members just to get us off the ground ;)

I am responsible for the coding of the websites, while my friend Steve is responsible for all their designs. Both of us will be managing the content on the websites, though we'll also be looking for more staff who can help post news related to the shows etc.

Below is my first post introducing the website to readers.

SmallScreenFans.com, a new TV fansite network specialising in new and upcoming television shows has launched today. The network will house a growing number of dedicated fansites for some of the most popular shows out there, and we're not just covering one genre, there will be a mixture of action, drama, and comedy. Some of the shows we'll be covering include fan-favourite Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, action-comedy Chuck, hilarious comedy series The Big Bang Theory, and Joss Whedon's latest much anticipated project, Dollhouse. Other shows we plan to work on are currently still in production - so you'll here more about them at a later date.

In addition to our fully customised websites, built especially for our specific requirements, we have accompanying discussion forums. The forums have just been opened and are of course completely free to join. Registering only takes a moment and will give you full access to the discussion boards, where you can converse with like-minded fans about all the important things going on in the world of TV. You can discuss and post rumours, gossip, episode news, pictures and anything else you can think of.

You'll find a dedicated forum for each of our covered shows, as well as general discussion forums, and a general TV forum, for discussion of shows we don't cover.

Stay tuned for more updates regarding our websites, and keep us bookmarked so you can read about new fansites we launch in the future, you never know, we might be covering a show you're a huge fan of!

Hope to see a few familiar faces err... usernames... over at SSF!

Thanks to everyone who is registering, should really help us out until we get noticed.

And I believe Steve is working on skinning the forums so you'll notice a change soon.

I think the permissions are fucked, I can't post :(.

Just registered now ;)

EDIT: Damn I can't even post!!!!!

You two haven't validated your emails.

Yeah. Unfortunately we lost the database and all the backups of it in a server crash (we don't have database backups ourselves, only the source php files). Since there's really too much to put back in ourselves we haven't really thought about starting them up again. I'm not sure what will happen to it now. Maybe something will be put up in the future. I'll close this for now though.
