GTA V for pc question

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, so please move it if it's not. :D

I plan on getting GTA V for pc when it comes out in January, my question is: People with an Xbox have to buy an Xbox live card to play online, how's the online portion gonna work for PC players? Also, I'm guessing a pc controller will work for GTA V pc, right?

Online for the PC version is completely free, and yes it will definitely have support for using an Xbox 360 controller, possibly PS4 controller too. But any controller should be able to be configured to use with it.

I'm an age old console controller guy, and even the Apple had it's third party joystick offerings, and from my experience, these were MUST OWN gaming tools!

Microsoft makers of both Xbox, it's software, Surface tablet Pros, and Windows OS have been steadily hoping to integrate Cross-Platform, but still don't really go on much about the gaming side of things, I think they should, but since Vista, the Xbox360 controller via it's USB has been capable of running sans driver.

MS offers on the Xbox site a driver for XP compatibility, and IIRC, should even work with other older PC OS from MS. Win9x? I'm not sure off hand, but Windows 2000 should work with it.

PS4 is much more PC friendly then PS3's controller for PC gaming, but I invested into the PS2 to PC adapters long ago.

I'm eager to see how GTA V for PC and it's own variation of GTAOnline will work. If you're playing Freeroam or competitions along with console version players.

Well, I'm back and I have yet another question. I don't know jack about computer/game specs but, will my computer run GTA V? Offical Specs below. I play the Sims 3 with 6 EPs and a tiny bit of DLC and it runs ok to me. Sometimes is lags, but not enough for me not to play it. I also play GTA Vice City, but I'm guessing it's a lot less that GTA V. ANyway, just please let me know if my computer can handle GTA V and please offer any suggestions that may make it work better. Thanks. :D
