No. Not gonna buy a PS3 at all. Crap.

Sony have made tons of mistakes, it's gonna be too expensive, the cheaper version won't be available in the UK apparently, and the late release will be crap.

Microsoft have the edge by releasing the 360 a year earlier, but I suppose if there isn't anything for a while after the PS3 is released, it'll be the 'most recent' and 'newest' piece of kit for years. Maybe its all a clever marketing campaign from Sony, which aren't unheard of.

I'm gonna get my PC upgraded or a new laptop, THEN think about a 360. Not gonna bother with the PS3.

Which laptop would you buy? Im thinking about getting one. A Dell Inspiron 6400; 1.83 GHz, 1024mb ram, 60gb hard drive. How long do you think that would last me?

About 3 months. Seriously Dell's are shite. MY battery broke within 3 months. And my laptop is now slow as hell and I don't have tons of stuff on it to slow it down.

I have an Inspiron 630m, 1.86GHz, 512MB Ram. Of course that RAM needs upgrading but it's too expensive for a crap laptop.

Im better off getting a MacBook Pro anyway. Much much better, and more sexy, and if you need Windows programs still then just install VirtualPC or whatever it's called, but unless you want games and stuff it's pointless.

Check this spec:

MacBook Pro, 15-inch, 2GHz Intel Core Duo

SuperDrive (DVD±RW/CD-RW)

AirPort Extremem Card & Bluetooth

MacBook Pro 15-inch Widescreen Display

1GB 667 DDR2 - 2x512MB SO-DIMMs

80GB Serial ATA drive (5400rpm)

2.0GHz Intel Core Duo

Backlit Keyboard & Mac OS

£1,469.01

Ugh. I hate laptops. They are expensive, slow, (especially for gaming) and they lack features. I agree with Chris. That laptop from Dell you're considering sucks, 888Ball. The RAM and HD are ok, but the processor speed kills it. You also need a good video card or it will really slow down.

Yeah, and you don't really need VirtualPC to put Windows on a Mac now...

Laptops are not slow, cheap laptops are, and bad laptops are.

I have a dell laptop (2.8celeron, 512m, 30g) which is alright for everything I wanna do, and I got it nearly two years ago. It plays San Andreas fine on low settings (up to 800x600x32), and even plays Half Life 2. Problem is, it's broken twice and is gonna break again - the inside part of where you plug the power connector in snaps off the motherboard, which has to be replaced. Thing is next time it happens, the bloody thing won't be under warranty.

So yeah don't get a Dell. Don't bother with Alienware, they're too expensive and you're paying for the design+name. Since you're British (wooo - go Dan Sampson) the best thing for you to do, no doubt, is get a Rock.

Rock laptops are the best, they brought out the first SLI laptops or the first dual-core laptops in the World (cant remember which). They come with 3 years C+R warranty as standard, which pwns all others. The laptops are good and solid, can go up to VERY high spec, they use only the best parts (not neccessarily the most expensive parts) and the prices are reasonable.

I'm way off upgrading at the moment, really need some cash, which is why I'm gunning round for jobs. But yeah - get a Rock.

^ What he said. But if you don't want it for gaming, or stuff, then get a MacBook or MacBookPro because they are teh sex.

Speaking of sex, if this topic ever gets a bit boring or needs spicing up a bit, just post a picture of a hot women, you're sure to revive us all and I promise you won't get banned/warned as long as it's not full on porn or full frontal nudity :)

I think most of us are single.. especially the staff.. haha. I never meet anyone that I really like talking to. Maybe I'll get some freshman next year.. since i'll be frontin' some long-er hair than I am right now XD. Seriously. More girls approached me back then than now. Relationships seem to be bad anyway...

Thats a sad but true fact i rediscovered the other day. I had my photo taken with armo on his leaving day, and I just looked so unbelievably nerdy in it compared to him, I was horrified.

Had one short term, but wouldnt do that again. Looking for long term. Failing. Everyone who I tell seems to freak out too. Oh well.

What a silly idea... there's no point in keeping topics open for the sake of it. If this topic, amongst others, has inspired people to post a lot more round the forums, then it's done its job.

The idea is not to fill up ten topics as much as we can, but to fill up the forums as much as they need to. A high number of replies in one topic is not a sacrifice for three times as many spread out.

A team of members that post in old topics just because they're told to? Great... I'm sure they're contributions will be useful.

And anyway maybe everybody was scared off by your inappropriate comments about sex toys.
