Freezing

Recommended Posts

I just got the game and I love it. However, sometimes the game will freeze for a few seconds when I load up the game or get into cars. Also, sometimes when I go into Ammunation the game goes to that 'Loading...' screen and sometimes it isn't there. So I was wondering, do I need to update my PSP to version 2.5 or something?

Yeah, I would try it.

No. DON'T. It does that no matter what version you're on. I know this doesn't help with your actual save, but pick up EdisonCarter's CheatDevice. It allows you to bump the CPU from 222mhz to the full 333 that the PSP actually has. Trust me, you'll notice a difference in how GTA runs on 333 compared to 222.

Can you change it to 333mhz on 2.6? I got version 8 installed already but i dunno how to change the speed.

Nope, 'fraid not.

if you actually read whats on edisons website it says quite clearly

Yep, no 2.6. Wait, though, I bet he'll have it working in no time.

Is there any way to like...demote the software back to 2.0? Sorry im not the original owner of my psp. I got mine used for 20$.

Nope. Sorry. You can downgrade if you're on 2.0, but that's it. I broke down and upgraded to 2.5 so I'm screwed. I got a demo disk in the mail for Pursuit Force, which looks BADASS, BTW, and it required 2.5. Oh well. I'm definitely getting this game, though.
