Some of the picures have actual things from my town (Sammy's Rec Room, Brantford mall, all the things on the games case etc.). Ps. Not even a retarded pearson would actually believe they're fake. Get a picture from some other game or real life, use the filters to make it look like it's a video game or re-texture them. Then place vehicles and characters either from previous GTAs or some other games. Add a HUD, radar, some text, new fonts etc. For the end, blur the fake screen a bit. Theres some jokes hidden in there that on a true Brantfordite would get. Sammy's Rec Room is a very popular reteraunt. The guy who owns (his name is in fact Sammy) has been named king of West Brant. These shots suck as much as the other ones (if not more), I just like showing them off. Brantford is ok but you need to expand on your idea. How about a GTA 4 that has Brantford, Hamilton, and Woodstock on it? After all, GTA: SA has three cities in it, not just one. Good idea. Hamilton will be the town run by the Mafia. Patty-T Posted July 26, 2006 Author Share Posted July 26, 2006 Here's some more ideas for you, pattyt: Woodstock could be a city that is under control of bored teenage thugs and players can gamble at the Brantford Charity Casino. The Casino is closed because the Native Americans are claiming that land belongs to them. The mob family who runs the casino hires the main character to get rid of the protesters. They are also blocking roads and bridges connecting the 3 cities. As you play through the game the government meets their demands and they clear their roadblocks. Also there's a weaker roadblock made of cars blocking a major bridge. The Mafia want you to get rid of it.......OLD SKOOL!!!!!! (I just made this quickley. Its supposed to be funny or sumthing. The first one is the original image. The second one is the VCS screenshot. The next one is just a weird one I made using photoshop. They're pretty good(In my personal opinion). Slayer Posted July 27, 2006 Share Posted July 27, 2006 You had a good idea, but since VCS is probably going to be after VC (although not confirmed), you shouldn't have removed that building. Insted, you could've added a new or re-textured the old building. Also, instead or removing Tommy, perhaps you should've changed his shirt or make a new character. Oh, re-texture voodo, add a few new peds and cars. But I like the idea of comparing the original with a fake screen. Keep up the good work. And instead of using the healing brush so much, try using the color brush tool. You'll get interesting effects. And, here in good ol' B-Dot the known gangs are as follows (in no particular order): Brantford Gangs - Young Bloodz - Vic Park Crips - Ghetto Kings (And Wanna-be puppet gangs Kronic Kings and Market St. Royals.) - DPG (Dunsdon Plaza Gang) - EP (Eagle Place gang) - Exploited Punks (yes, theres apparently a punk gang in town somewhere?) - Hells Angels MC - Los Malvados MC - MSC (Mean Street Crew) - Toxik Posse - Azn Connection (Asian gang, maybe tied to Triads? I've seen these guys drop THOUSANDS in one hand at the casino) - Native Pride - Also rumors that Tamil Tigers or LTTE have terror cells here... Hamilton Gangs (as far as I know): - Italian Mafia - Irish Mafia - Hells Angels MC - Outlaws MC - Crips - Bloods - Latin Kings (unknown if connected to american LK) - The Mountain Boys (White nationalist gang) Plenty of diversity for gangs and locations if anyone were to have the balls to actually FINISH a Brantford GTA mod. But seriously, I travel alot, and I have never heard of "Brantford" ever before in my life. I think R* would at least use a city that is somewhat famous outside of your state/province. Also, im tired of people placing the Italian Mafia in any old city! The Italian Mafia isn't some global thing, they're situated in only a few cities. They're main operations are in NYC, Sicily, and have limited control over Las Vegas. No exceptions. There are a few stakes in Chicago, Florida and LA, but the Italian Mafia is mainly in those 3 cities! I dont know anything about "Brantford" but I'm absolutely sure that there are no Sicilian Mafia situated there. The Godfather is based on the true mafia. The writer (Mario Puzo) is "experienced" with the mafia, to put it lightly. Johnny Fontane is based on Frank Sinatra, who was in the mafia. Vito Corleone is based on a REAL mafia mob boss. You can't just put the mafia in any old city, because the Mafia isn't fictional! All the Italian Mafia stories are based on real mafia stories. Even the mafia in GTA are based off of the real mafia because they are based on the movies, which all are based on the REAL mafia! You can't just "make up" a mafia family and place it in your city, because the mafia is REAL. ALL fictional Mafia families are based on true ones. Until you can find a real mafia family to base your fictional one on, you can not "make" a mafia family. Even Salvatore Leone was based on a real Mafia boss, since he was based on Vito Corleone, and Vito Corleone was just a rename of a real Mafia boss so Mario Puzo could put him in the Godfather without getting shot. (PS. Many mafia members commented that the Godfather is a true story). Sorry, I just needed to vent my growing frustration about this whole "mafia" topic. I'm tired of people making up stories and acting like the Mafia are like street gangs. They aren't. they are a distinct group of people who are situated in a distinct place, and you can't just place them anywhere. P.S. If someone says "Irish Mafia in Boston", realise that ive been saying the Italian Mafia, not any other race of "mafia". The Irish Mafia is small time and just about as valid as the Trailer Park mafia in VCS. Good idea. Hamilton will be the town run by the Mafia. There is no italian mafia in Hamilton. I made this topic a long time ago. It was my first topic actually. I've gotten alot better at photoshop. I made a few game trailers. Search GTA Brantford on youtube. They don't have ties to the old country anymore, but at one time they probably did. They don't LIVE in Brantford, but they sure as hell do operate here. And both the Italian and the Irish mob were real strong in Hamilton right up 'til the "Biker war" when the HA started taking Outlaws turf (this was after the whole Rock Machine/HA battle in Quebec). Second of all, of course they're not gonna pick Brantford, it's just a fantasy...or perhaps a mod project for someone. If they do choose a Canadian city it would have to be TO or Vancouver. Toronto would be best, LOTS of gangs and ethnic diversity. But people in Ontario recognise Brantford as a slum hole crack-haven. I'm sure if you walked up and told a Mafioso that he isn't one 'cause he happens to be in Brantford, you'd be found face down in a ditch next to Powerline Rd....Don't matter if he's from the old country or not.
