@Huckleberrypie: or get a new computer :P Seriously though, E8400 is just 160 USD and god damned fast.

@ azn: You have a damn good computer!

No offense to azn, but an 7500LE isn't exactly a very good card (for these days).

I want to order all the new components Monday. Might take slightly longer though.

Xp (which pwns vista, so don't bitch)

So true.

XP works brilliant for me, and I don't want to use another OS or upgrade to Vista (Though I might install Linux on my mom's old computer)

The graphics on Vista looks great, but it doesn't run as good as XP IMO, I tried it on my brother's laptop, and it runs rather slow.

I have the same desk as you. Very popular desk, from what I've seen.

ZOMG you have the same computer as me! Except your specs are way better.

hey man, its a good computer, very customizable. i am putting neon into it later this months so it will glow red.

PCs aren't quite like cars. ALL PCs are customizable. Macs might be a tad harder and you can't use standard parts for them, but they are even still customizable.

I don't feel like remembering my CPU speed, but I know I just dropped out half a gig of RAM from my PC to give to Chestnut. That's fucking love right there.

Just ordered some Corsair Dominator 4 gig (4 modules, for 2 times dual channel), 1066 MHz. Works 5-5-5-15 and if I'm not mistaken it uses the D9 chips, so it should be pretty overclockable. Also ordered the kickass fan with it, so it will be something like this:

CORSAIR_PC2_8500_C5DF3.jpg

That should make it reach the 1150 I think, I hope. Probably will.

But I still don't have all the parts (god damned CPU >_<). I'll make some thread when I've got everything.

Wooohoooo!

I'm happy. Why you ask? Well, I just ordered a 9800 GTX from XFX. Should arrive in a weeks time. But then I STILL have to wait for the CPU.... 8th of April... I'm getting there slowly.

I posted a picture of that thing not all that long ago, I'll try to find that post again.

Edit: found.

I've ordered all my parts. All have arrived except for that damned CPU and they're only expecting it to come at the end of March... >_<

Good thing being that that gives me the time to wait for the GTX too, maybe get that thing.

If you've got the cash: go for a 9800 GTX:

Looks sweeeet.

Hopefully that'll be a bye bye to the 3870X2 since these cards rival each other when it comes to the price. I'm afraid it'll be just slightly slower though..

I have a Dell which is actually quite customise-freindly, and thats saying something.

I have had it since 2005, modified it in many ways, (upgrading RAM, buying a new DVD Drive + bought another hard drive.)

It has been reinstalled about 5 times, (due to viruses, and just being clogged up.)

Here are specs:

Dell Dimension 5100

Intel Pentium 4 2.8Ghz Processor

768MB of RAM

ATI X1050 Series Graphics card with 128MB of memory.

X2 Maxtor 6L160M0 160GB hard drives

Pioneer DVR-107D DVD-RW + CD-RW

Lite-On LTR-24102B CD-RW + DVD
