  1. Hey guys, still looking at laptops. What do you guys think of this one for the deal I get and what settings it would run at?

    Compaq Presario CQ60-116EE:

    c01491476.jpg

    Intel Core 2 Duo T5800 2.0 GHz

    2GB Ram

    250GB Hardrive

    256MB NVIDIA G-force 9200M

+ free printer, mouse, laptop bag and Norton Anti-Virus.

    $849

    or

570 GBP (stupid computer doesn't have the pound sign...)

What do you guys think? Thanks in advance.

Sorry man, but you won't be able to run it.

Well, maybe run it, but at lowest with lowest resolution with no AA or not with a decent frame rate.

  2. 4 years ago, that was a good computer. 3 years ago it would have been ok. Not anymore dude..

    Pentium 4s were never good.

intel quad core processor which will be over 10 Ghz.

While a quad core may be rated at 10GHz+ in applications which take advantage of it, many don't.

i am purchasing this machine so it will withstand the test of time as my last machine which was built 3 years ago (2005) is now severely outdated and when i originally built the system it was just about top of the line.

Sorry, it will not withstand the test of time no matter how good the components are. Technology is always advancing and even six months from now, those components will be outdated by something better and newer.

That's the downside to being an enthusiast; cost of upgrades.

Also if you built that in 2005 why did you get a Pentium 4 when there were much better processors?

I think he is just bullshitting around.

His spelling looks like that coming from a 5 year old.

He doesn't seem to know hardly anything of computing,

thus he is just saying an amount of RAM or GHz that someone else has said but then in a higher number.

    Just saying....

  3. The HD 3450 really isn't a good card, I own one and it's an improvement over my old onboard one, but it's not good for gaming.

I do doubt that, considering that it's meant to be a gaming card.

Nevertheless, could you recommend me one around the 150 dollars, about 120 euros max.?

    Thanks.

    Tom.

  5. There were never any kids in any GTA trailer.

Also, Tom, what about my emails? The last one you sent was just blank with our previous emails in it??? And anyway, once I realised who you were (because your email sounded great btw), I remembered this topic, and seriously, pulling shit like that seriously ruins your rep...

    Yeah sorry Chris,

I share this account with my friends,

And one of them DID get an update sooner than anyone else although I don't think it was that big.

I tried to delete that topic a thousand times but it seems it's blocked.

    Sorry to dissapoint you,

i'll try and make a seperate account and my friends can keep this one.

Hope we can still work things out.

    Sorry again.

    Tom

  6. Previously in a Second Trailer analysis, before the actual release of GTA IV.

    Hello,

Please do not offend me for making this post; presumably you won't.

I have watched an analysis of "Looking for that Special Someone" ( which is trailer 2 of GTA IV), and I have noticed, when the video was played in slow-motion, at a certain point we could see children.

And the analysers stated there would be children in Grand Theft Auto IV; which, apparently I haven't noticed yet during my GTA4 gameplay.

Maybe I haven't seen any children because they are very rare,

or, because I am still on the first island.

    Or are there no children?

I'm sure one of you has already finished the game and know if there actually are any children.

    Please reply.

    Yours sincerely,

    Tom

PS: If you are reading this Chris, then please check your e-mail.

    Thanks.

  7. Grand Theft Auto IV

    PS3 Downloadable Content Confirmed

As we know, the Xbox 360 version of Grand Theft Auto IV will be getting exclusive downloadable content after the game's release.

An article in the latest version of PlayStation World Magazine states that the PS3 will be getting downloadable content.

This information comes straight from GTA 4's senior developer, Jeronimo Barrera.

    No details are given, too bad;

but that is already very good news.

The article talks about two possible scenarios:

    1. Microsoft paid for earlier exclusivity but the PS3 will eventually get the same thing.

    2. (A more realistic scenario) The downloadable content will be in the PlayStation Home unlockables.

As almost every game from now will have some sort of Home-integration, such as game-themed wallpapers, furniture, and more.)

  11. Everytime I access my network stats in GTA IV, it always says, "no scores found".

I already linked my PSN ID to my socialclub ID and it still didnt appear, in the socialclub website it already shown my account name but the stats isnt updating. So, anybody got the same problem? how could I solve this?

yeah, you will have to wait a week or two, anyone that signed up needs to have gta iv, so everyone that signed up but hasn't got GTA IV yet are pending.

So no-one can see their stats yet........

  12. YAY!!!!

Today, I received an update on my PS3 60gb which took 700mb and took 2 hours to install.

I noticed it was an update for GTA IV!!

    And it fixes glitches!!

If you jump down next to a container usually your head goes threw it; and now it doesn't happen anymore!!

Also, usually on your bike if you turn, your bike will lean on one side, and the wheel will go threw the ground too, and it doesnt happen anymore.

Sorry I didn't copy the update code or name; but i'm sure it will come avaible too for everyone.

That is so good, all glitches are getting repaired!! For free, except you need 700mb.

    I love updates!!!!
