    Grrrr

Is there anyway to mod san andreas with vista, i could do it fine with xp but it doesn't since i tried it on vista, just trying to patch my version 2.0 to the 1.1 was a mission as it is because vista said the dvd disk was the wrong one for my san andreas installation, i managed to get that to work but no matter what i've tried i cant get any mods to work. For example i'll download a car, put it on using gta img, go into the game, and the car wont have changed from the original, its frustrating. I cant see it being anything else except vista, ill list my computer specs anyway. Windows Vista Home Premium Overclocked 3.6GHz Intel Pentium 4 Presscott HT Processor with water cooling 2GB DDR400 Ram 320GB SATA HDD Asus Lightscribe SATA DVD Drive Nvidia Geforce 7600GT 256MB Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Audio If anyone can help it will be much appreciated.
  2. sounds like you have verson 2.0 of the game, and in that case it cant be modded
  3. Have a look at this screenshot, ive marked it on there where it is
  4. it sounds like you have verson 2.0, check it when you start the game and when it gets to the main menu it should say it at the bottom right, if you are running v2.0 i dout you are going to find a save game that will work with that verson because all the saved games posted on the net are from versons lower then 2.0 so are incompatiable
  5. the shortcuts have to be from music files in the "wma" format(windows media audio)
  6. its defiently the sound card, ive had this problem before, some old cards cant handle too much different sounds playing at once so when it rains it mutes the other sounds because it cant handle all those different sounds at once, if your sound card is new, make sure you have the correct and up to date drivers installed for it and make sure there are no conflicts with it in the device manager, but if you have an old card it will be that
  7. It sounds like your sound card, check to see if its directx compatiable.
  8. You cant, they open back up when you play through and get back to los santos, then after that they say open.
