  1. I fixed the stuttering and lagging problem by not using a trainer. works great now.
  2. Problem is solved. It seemed to have been the trainer I was using. Stopped using it and my framrate and overall gamespeed have improved dramatically, and hasn't crashed yet.(knock on wood).
  3. I have tried many ways to fix sound problems, framerate problems, and mutiple random crashes. I just tried playing for the first time without using a trainer, mainly because I wanted to do the saspeedo mod. Wow. It fixed 98% of the problems I was having. So if your having seemingly unfixable tech issues, but must cheat to enjoy the game(like me ), Then try just using the ingame cheats(instead of a trainer), you can use almost all the same cheats, and it may make a world of difference in your game as it did mine.
  4. Another random gta_sa.exe crash. Event viewer says fault address is at 0x000c7dad.(any other pertinent numbers before or after are zeros). Can someone please tell what this address would relate to?(sound, video, etc.)
  5. I have a 2.2 ghz pentium 4 with Nvidia 6200 graphics card, 1 gb of ram, and a 250 gb hard drive. I know that is not top of the line, but I should be able to play san andreas without the fps crapping out to the point where everything goes into a slow motion stutter.
  6. I already have SAMI, I was looking for an Installer that would work with clothes, guns, skin color, etc. The manual method just seems like a lot of trouble.
  7. Is there a mod installer that would do stuff other than vehicles? If not, anyone that made one would be very, very popular. If there is, please share the link!
  8. How do you change Which car is replaced with SAMI? If I just pick one other than the default, it causes game crashing. If I rename the TXD AND DFF Files to the car I want to replace then the custom handling, colors and skins Go away.
  9. I give up trying to stop the sound from stuttering. I am thinking of buying a new soundcard, I wonder if anyone could recommend one that works really well with San Andreas. I wonder though if that would help because the whole game stutters when the sound does. Could cutom tracks and or mods cause this too? Still, I could use a good soundcard so any recommendations would be helpful.
  10. Is your game installed already, or does it say this while installing the game? If it is already installed then you can try A No cd patch. I don't think I can give you a link, but just google San andreas no cd patch. Make sure you get the one for your game version.
  11. I've tried a couple of things to fix this, thought I had it fixed but no. Sometimes when I am playing the sound(and framerate)will start to stutter badly. It seems to be randomly caused and requires quitting and restarting san andreas to make it go away. I have tried changing my eax driver(which actually seemed to help for a little while), I have tried turning down all the gamefeatures(Draw distance,resolution,etc.). I have tried changing my sound acceleration level(this also seemed to help at first). I have read that ver 1.01 may fix this, but have read where people said it did not, or only made things worse. Anyways, I am using no-cd patch and would be unable to update. I am only using 2 stereo pc speakers and not 5.1 or anything like that. My sound is onboard (soundmax digital audio is the driver). Can anyone reccomend any fixes other than the ones I've already tried?
  12. I Fixed the problem! Thanx to everyone that tried to help. Heres what I did. I got to Thinking about the first response to my question, and I remembered that I did install the nude girlfriend patch v.2(the one that replaces peds.ide. Fortunately, I had an extra hard drive that I Had put a clean install of S.A. on just in case I messed it up with my mods or needed original files. So I popped in my Other Hard Drive, Transferred over the original Peds.ide file and Presto! No more crash. I hope my experiance helps other people solve their issues. And Thank You to Skyline for putting my train of thought in thr right direction. :
  13. Can I reinstall it without affecting my mods or my save games? Yeah, mods will need re-installment but i'm unsure about your total save game file. How far are you? But there is always the option of getting a saved file after that particular mission. It's reinstalling the mods that would be the hardest thing, and as for the game save it would just suck to have to play all the way to "burning desire" again only to see it crash in the same place during the cut scene.
  14. Can I reinstall it without affecting my mods or my save games?
  15. Thank you for replying anyways. If other people are as quick to try and help as you, I'm sure I'll get to the bottom of it soon.
  16. I don't think I have the hot coffee mod installed. all I ever installed was vehicle mods. Anyways the only crashes I've read that other people had were towards the end of this mission while mine was at the begining. I don't know if this makes a difference though.
  17. Please Help.(pentium 4, 1gb ram xp sp2 nvidia 6200). I have San Andreas(version1.0), with several working car mods, and am using no-cdpatch. I have worked out many gameplay bugs and game is running good except this--During the cutscene for the Burning Desire mission, I get a Black screen just when cj is about to exit the cafe after talking to tenpenny. I can't do anything and have to reboot to get back to windows. Strangely enough, if I hold Alt and Tab, I can see the mouse cursor, but can't hear or see anything else. I've searched forums for hours trying to find a solution for this crash. Please help. Thank you in advance
