Mission/Video Problem?

Hey guys.

I have SA ver 2.0. I have it installed on my vista laptop and its working all right until i reach the "Are we going to San Fierro?" mission. After the talk with the truth guy my game just crashes. I guess there must be cut scene or something after that because when i start the game i dont see the starting video of rockstar and san andreas just hear the music. i installed the game but still i dont see the video. this is wierd because the very first time i installed it i saw the videos.

this is the error i get. even with reinstallation i get the same error.

ok i found out what the problem is. i was playing it at AA level 3. when i used reset defaults but resolution of 1920X1200 it works fine. i am able to play normally with AA off. weird why it gives me that problem. 7900 works great.

Hey, I had a problem quite similar to yours. I just got a Vista laptop, with a 7900. Got to the San Fierro missions, but for me, it's that every model loses it's textures for a minute or two. I've tried everything, from re-installing, changing settings, etc. but I can't figure it out.

ya i used to get that problem too with my first install. that time i was trying to use a lot of mods like the hot coffee mod, spaceinsteins mod etc. that used to give me problems. but now i reinstalled and am using only the car mods. and dont use AA. turn it off. now the game is working perfectly fine.
