Adding Vehicles Wreckes My Game...?

Hey..I bought GTA SA today for my PC so i could experiment with differant mods.

I am not exactly the greatest of guys on a computer so i do have trouble installing mods.

I finally found out how after a great deal of stress :S but everytime I install a Car (I have only tried cars so far) and click player San Andreas when it tries to load my saved game / start a new game it freezes.

I was wondering if anyone has come across this problem and figured out what is wrong.
