downgrade and mod help

alright i just a couple of questions. one is, is there anyway that i can downgrade the xbox version of GTA SA causes i would realy like to mod it and cant afford a good pc at the moment so i can play pc. and the other q is that when i read the tut that says that u make SA v2 fully modded by changing the name or somthing like that, and does that work, and how do u mod the files cause im still not sure how u edit the gta3.img file.
