Need Help!

ok well, i got gta 4 a couple days ago, and if i were to put a trainer in, and put all the files im susposed to put in the gta 4 directory, and then run the game, immediately it sais "gta 4 has stopped working"...this is very frustrating and confusing, also i have put save games in C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\savegames\user_e0000357996af12f, and i wud load the savegame and it wud say, load crashed. Also...i have put songs in user tracks and i went to the independant fm and no songs even came on...this is really frustrating to me and i have been all over forums looking for people with the same issue, and i cudnt find it, so i decided to do this myself...i have vista if that helps
