The International GTAIV Challenge!!!

The International GTAIV Challenge consists of several challenges that have been made internationally. These challenge videos will be highlighted in many gaming forums around the world and may be used on gaming TV channels. The winners (per category, and some of the top competitors) may be interviewed via video to be included with the gaming videos. Think you have what it takes???

Challenge #1:

THE RACE

To start a new game and take Roman to the apartment in Hove Beach. (the first safe house of the game, no other missions or islands will be unlocked!) You may choose any car, truck or motorocycle in the unlocked area. (no choppers, no boats, no taxi rides, no subway rides or armor allowed! also no cars hidden on the upper islandS such as sultan rs or inferno) Once you choose your vehicle go back to the safe house and make a game save. (note this will make the time of day during good sunlight as well as traffic out etc during the race) This will be your starting point, with your vehicle of choice. (FOR ALL OF THESE CHALLENGES!!!) Videos must also have sound included (to verify no speeding up of the video! Must be able to hear sound of cars reving/braking etc over any music, or no music) The video rules apply to any version participating (pc or console!) it does not matter if you record the video via capture card or webcam or camcorder or direct capture. All are acceptable with good video quality. YOUR VIDEO MUST INCLUDE ALL OF YOUR GAMEPLAY INCLUDING THE MAP AND VEHICLE DENSITY CHECKS, AND VEHICLE VERIFICATION AT THE END TO QUALIFY!!!

Load up your game and go to the map menu. START RECORDING HERE!!! This will show the safe house, your 25 dollars (also the food stand just outside sometimes) and Where you're supposed to pickup Roman on the map as well as the entire map with no unlocks. Click on the Graphics tab. YOU MUST HAVE VEHICLE DENSITY ON 100!!! (this must be shown in the video for it to count as well as the map shot! (so dont forget) None of the other settings are important on the graphics tab.

So your video is rolling and you've shown the map and options screen and you're ready to start! Time BEGINS when the blue door (first door) inside of the apartment first cracks open until you arrive back safely in the apartment again and make a game save. Time STOPS when the screen has completely faded to black as Niko rests on the game save.

The Mission:

To go to the top corner of the map in Wesdyke and steal the Sultan RS (hidden car behind the garage) and drive THAT car back safely to the apartment in Hove Beach (Romans apartment) and make a game save with the car still in drivable condition.

THIS IS A RACE!!! FASTEST TIME WINS!!! Keep in mind this is a timed event as well as a car stealing mission. Note that If you need to use the map to navigate your way around this is going to cost you precious time! No edited videos will be accepted!!!

YOU CANNOT USE ANY WEAPONS!!! NO CHEATS, NO MODS, ONLY SPECIFIED VEHICLES CAN BE USED. YOUR VIDEO MUST START OUT WITH THE MAP AND OPTIONS SHOT TO COUNT! YOUR VIDEO MUST END WITH VERIFYING THE CARS ARE STILL IN IN YOUR PARKING SPACE AFTER THE GAME SAVE! (sometimes if you're being chased hard they will knock them out of the parking space beore you can get inside and save = no win!) THIS APPLIES TO ALL CHALLENGES! NO EXCUSES ACCEPTED!!!

Here's a run I did in first person. (a lot of console players complain about not being able to use a mouse to look around etc)
