Gta San Andreas total remake

Hi. For starters I am not a programmer or anything of the sort. However I read about gta sa remakes that may be released and I thought why don't we the users remake the game (we are already doing this) but with much better graphics in the design models. My problem is will this cause problems with the entire game or is this simply out of the question. If you like modding gta than thats good because you can expand the entire game because well if you run out of space on youre computer add in another hard drive... anyway I was wondering if we can make much butter design models (i.e. maps, characters, cars, and more) - my hope is gta sa will one day have the graphics of gta iv. Please respond.

That would be cool because GTA SA is the only computer game I play. Just recently I started to play through it again and added many more custom cars. I'm still trying to tweak things that would make the game more enjoyable to me.
