nwofoxhound
Hello everyone, I just got the game GTA: SA for my PC and couldnt help but feel inclined to take advantage of the computer's ability over the PS2. So as you know, there are many car mods out there and i was very tempted to mod my game. After reading the sticky on how to do it, i followed exact procedure and still came up short... i guess. Well, i downloaded about ten car models, renamed their counterparts as _old.txd/dff and replaced them with the modded version. After i had finished replacing them all, i rebuilt the arhive and continued on. Then i took each individual car model and changed the coresponding files such as Carmods, Carcols, Handling and Vehicles. After i was sure everything was done and done correctly, i launched my game. Everything comes up fine and i was playing for hrs last night but this morning i started it up, loaded fine and wanted to do a Big Smoke Mission. The mission is called "Just Business" and freezed when i got to the destination. I restarted the game and this time it let me farther in the mission, but randomly crashed again. I dont understand if this would be a modding problem. Is the game trying to load a specific car that i have modded incorrectly? Ive only modded cars and the game played great up to the point where it crashed. I know its a long read, but you guys seem to want details and im trying to give as many as possible. Please help fix this stupid problem and if it cannot be fixed, can i continue just fine without Big Smoke's line of missions? Thanks in advance and sorry for the essay. 03SVTMAN
Well you have to make sure you have v1.0 because mods dont work on the new version. There are downgraders out there.
