i've reinstalled the game and it still doesn't work. so I guess there's nothing I can do about it. thx anyway!

A few days ago I was playing san andreas,and I was playing a mission on the second island,untill suddenly my pc crashed,I restarted my computer,but when I tried to open the save game,the game started from the very beginning. when I asked someone I know to send me a save game,the samlething happened,I can only open save games from the first island. what can I do to make it possible to open a save game that's not on the first island?
