First of all, all gangs evolve and often have groups that break off and form new gangs...The Italian Mafia I'm refering to is just some italian family(s) who work in organized crime. They don't have ties to the old country anymore, but at one time they probably did. They don't LIVE in Brantford, but they sure as hell do operate here. And both the Italian and the Irish mob were real strong in Hamilton right up 'til the "Biker war" when the HA started taking Outlaws turf (this was after the whole Rock Machine/HA battle in Quebec).
Second of all, of course they're not gonna pick Brantford, it's just a fantasy...or perhaps a mod project for someone. If they do choose a Canadian city it would have to be TO or Vancouver. Toronto would be best, LOTS of gangs and ethnic diversity. But people in Ontario recognise Brantford as a slum hole crack-haven. We got plenty of shit too, I even found this site:

And third, don't be so anal. "Oooo! It's not the Italian mob 'cause they ain't livin in Sicily". God forbid the Italian Mafia got the idea to EXPAND their criminal enterprise to, say, more than 3 cities in the WORLD. True, they aren't as strong as they were, but now they do all their business covertly. Gambino Ford, gee I wonder which Gambino family owns that legitimate business. I'm sure if you walked up and told a Mafioso that he isn't one 'cause he happens to be in Brantford, you'd be found face down in a ditch next to Powerline Rd....Don't matter if he's from the old country or not.
P.S. Like the pics, seeing the familiar sights in GTA form makes me laugh. Those sammys rec room guys look like they're wearing King colors lol
