gamerzworld
VCS Radar map in VC |---------------------------------| |Gamerzworld's VCS Radar Map to VC| |---------------------------------| About: This mod replaces VC's map that you see in your HUD with the map from VCS. This mod does NOT replace the map shown when you pause the game. Also, This mod does NOT add VCS landmarks even though they show up on the radar map with this mod. Install: 1. Get a IMG program. These shouldn't be to hard to find. You can find one your self or look at one of these. G-IMG: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=263374 IMG Tool: http://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=63 2. Make sure you have all of the TXD's extracted from this zip file. 3. Open the IMG program you installed/opened. 4. Open the GTA3.IMG file in your VC models folder. (Default: C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto Vice City\models\gta3.img) 5. Look for all of the radar TXDs and delete them. (radar01, radar02, radar03, etc.) 6. Add the radar TXDs. (In G-IMG - Commands--->Add or F1) 7. Rebuild the archive (In G-IMG - Commands--->Rebuild) 8. Load up the game and enjoy! Distribution: You are free is distribute this mod as long as this read me stays with the mod and credit says with it. Editing: You are free to edit this mod as long as you give me some credit. Known Issues: Shows VCS landmarks The map may be a little off in some places The map shows roads and buildings that are only in VCS. Credit: Gamerzworld - Converting the textures from the CHK format to TXD. Arushan - LCS/VCS Tex program. Dustcrazy - Finding a way to decompile the LCS/VCS img files. Chris
Nice idea for a mod. I like the VCS map better, too bad it still shows the new landmarks/roads and stuff, will you be editing it to 'fix' them?
gamerzworld
Nice idea for a mod. I like the VCS map better, too bad it still shows the new landmarks/roads and stuff, will you be editing it to 'fix' them? Unfortunately, I'm very new to Photoshop. However, I do include the BMP's I got from the CHK files in the ZIP file. So if someone wants to fix them, all they have to do is open each one and edit away. Then once they are done, all they need to do is open TXD workshop and replace each one.
Chris
Yeah, a bit much work for me to be bothered with IMO BTW, is it just me or is the .zip file completely empty? Both yours and R*W mirror in fact.

Chris
Yes they are. And damn, I was thinking correctly, there are indeed 64 different images Oh well, I don't really play VC anymore, but if I do get round to it I may well install your mod.
