In case anybody wants this for whatever reason it may be, graphics, sigs, etc., we've added it to our downloads database. It's called "Bruce Mitika" and you can download it here.
  2. I've made this topic because we're getting a lot of people asking us whether or not they'll be able to run GTA IV on their PC, and if not, what should they get, etc. No official requirements have been released yet, but by looking at other recent games we (or rather chris82) has produced this spec list - I think it's probably about halfway between the minimum and recommended specs. Windows 2000/XP/Vista Intel Core2Duo E4600 / AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ 1GB of RAM (Windows 2000/XP)/2GB of RAM (Windows Vista) nVidia 8xxx series/ATi 28xx/38xx series UPDATE: 30th October 2008 - Official specs now released, topic has been updated, see below for specs. Minimum System Requirements OS: Windows Vista - Service Pack 1 / XP - Service Pack 3 Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8Ghz, AMD Athlon X2 64 2.4Ghz Memory: 1.5GB, 16GB Free Hard Drive Space Video Card: 256MB NVIDIA 7900 / 256MB ATI X1900 Recommended System Requirements OS: Windows Vista - Service Pack 1 / XP - Service Pack 3 Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4Ghz, AMD Phenom X3 2.1Ghz Memory: 2 GB (Windows XP) 2.5 GB (Windows Vista) 18 GB Free Hard Drive Space Video Card: 512MB NVIDIA 8600 / 512MB ATI 3870 So if you're not sure you'll be able to run the game, just post your specs here and I or someone else who knows what they're talking about will answer you, and if necessary tell you what you should get in order to run the game well. You might also want to post your monitor resolution that you'll be planning on playing at.
  3. This is going to be a huge list of all the secrets and easter eggs found in San Andreas, Hopefully we will get a whole lot of members posting where the secret is and preferably some pictures of it too if possible. I will be posting some pictures later of course, and this will also be going on the main site too. 1 - No easter eggs sign Up on top of Gant Bridge there a sign ironically reading "There are no Easter Eggs up here, go away!" 2. It is also heavily guarded like the real life base, and also, shares its name with the sexual position. 3. USS NumNutz The name of a submarine in the San Fierro waters 4. 4. As part of the celebration of San Andreas' 10th anniversary, Rockstar have removed the Xbox Originals version of the game from sale in the Xbox Marketplace, and will be re-releasing it as part of Xbox 360's Games on Demand service. This re-release will feature 720p resolution, enhanced draw distance and support for achievements. As of yet there is no word on pricing, but we'll update this as soon as we hear anything. Rockstar have confirmed a list of achievements that will be available on their support page. In addition to those mentioned there will also be 11 hidden achievements, if you want to know what those are you'll have to wait, as even XboxAchievements.com does not yet seem to know what they are. NOTE: Customers who had already bought the Xbox Originals version will still have access to that. But if they decide to upgrade to the re-release on Games on Demand, their save games will not be compatible. Meanwhile, Rockstar are offering 40% off on the mobile version of San Andreas, as well as Vice City and GTA III. If you don't already own any of them, check out the links below: San Andreas: $ 3.99 (save 43%) - iOS | Android | Amazon Vice City: $ 2.99 (save 40%) - iOS | Android | Amazon GTA III: $ 2.99 (save 40%) - iOS | Android | Amazon
  5. Posting about GTA: Liberty City Stories in 2015 - 10 years after the game was first released - is strange. Though not entirely unexpected given recent trends. Releasing mobile versions of past GTA titles soon after their 10th anniversary has become somewhat of a tradition for Rockstar Games, and this year is no exception, with the return of handheld favourite Liberty City Stories - first released in 2005 for Sony PSP, and later in 2006 for the PS2. GTA Liberty City Stories has a brief exclusivity period on iOS (Apple prefer to feature apps that are exclusive to iOS) so you can download the game right now for your iPhone or iPad, while Android and Amazon users will need to wait, we're not sure how long because Rockstar have only said it's coming soon™. Below is the trailer and blurb for the game. Enjoy this blast from the not so distant past. Also if you currently play GTA Online, you can get a free in-game t-shirt by playing LCS, so do read everything below for instructions on how to unlock that.

    Alive Check

As I've said numerous times in the past I have no intention of ever taking the site down. The forums have had new registrations disabled for a while now (although I believe signups via Facebook are still possible) for a couple of reasons; 1. to reduce botspam and 2. because the forums are essentially dead we're unlikely to get many new people around here for any legitimate reasons.

    Alive Check

That's actually very recent, like the last 2 weeks or so. I don't know... we're on the latest version of IPB, we're using their anti-spam service, but it's useless, the bots still get through. Might disable registrations for a while, seems to be the only way to prevent them getting through. I had to check your username history and profile but yeah I remember. There are plenty of users I didn't talk to much one to one but at least recognise their usernames if they were frequent posters. I noticed a comment on my profile back in 2010 saying that you had added me on PSN. I rarely play PS3/PS4 these days but curious what your username there is? I'm guessing we never played anything together?

    Alive Check

Well I guess even if just one person likes to come back to the forums from time to time it's reason enough to leave them online for now. I suspect at some point we'll disable new registrations, maybe even disable posting. But I'll always try to keep an archive of the forums here so all the old topics and posts won't be lost. While I've said in the past I'd try to keep TGTAP online for as long as I'm alive, I have occasionally wondered about the long term future, like really long term, and not just about this website but any in a similar position. I mean, can you imagine coming back here in another 10 years? 20 years? What about 50 years? Some of us probably won't even be alive at that point. The internet could and probably will look very different then. Interest in GTA could be dead too and at some point it may not be worth keeping the website online any more. A number of huge GTA fansites have already closed for good in the past couple of years, GTAGaming and GTAWarehouse are two big names no longer operating. GTAGaming was arguably the next biggest site after GTANet, so if they had to shutdown already the future doesn't look too bright for the rest of. I don't think TGTAP will be the next one though, but sadly it's not a favourable trend we're seeing with videogame fansites these days. P.S. if anyone is reading this in the future and needs to contact me for any reason and is unable to do so here, I'm not particularly difficult to find elsewhere on the Internet. I don't publicly give out my email address but my personal website (https://chrisphillips.uk/) links to places where I can be found.

I don't do anything with the website any more but don't wish to take it down or anything, so it will remain online for the foreseeable future. As for the forums, I've thought about turning them offline as it's clear to see there is barely any activity whatsoever these days. In fact I think aside from GTAForums, pretty much every fansite forum is dead now. Everyone moved to social media. But as with the website, I will probably leave them open for the time being, if any members want to reconnect with one another then they can do so. Out of curiosity, what brought you back here Dmac?
  11. @brewyorkbeer Hi, https://t.co/JCT9a4fTZk and https://t.co/0TNULJ5rOm sound identical. Are these actually the same beer? I will merge if so.

  12. @deyabrewery Very Hoppy Caterpillar is on at @ThePilcrowPub as "Hoppy Little Caterpillar"... Did you actually rename or is this a mistake?

  14. This Friday, 25th January, you can join Rockstar from 4-7PM GMT (11AM-2PM EST) and play in a variety of multiplayer modes from GTA IV, The Lost and Damned, and The Ballad of Gay Tony, on all 3 platforms. For a chance at getting invited into a game you'll need to add one of the devs to your friends list. During this time, Rockstar will open the sweepstakes page where you'll have a chance to win a GTA V prize pack in the giveaway, which include t-shirts and stickers. For more information check the newswire article.

    Post your mugshots v3!

The latest topic for you to all post your ugly mugs here I don't have any new pics to start us off so hopefully someone else can do the honours. It's about time for a new thread anyway, the old one was filling with pages of broken links and there were arguments forming on so many pages. Hopefully we'll have none of that this time. I'm sure you all heard your mothers' says "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" - we won't be strictly enforcing it but please be nice. The thread is just a bit of fun for everyone to see what each other really looks like. Comments/discussion is of course allowed. But please contribute something rather than descending into argument If you have no new pics but wanna get some from the old threads: v1 March '04 - December '05 v2 January '06 - March '09 EDIT: Ok never mind, I'll start with a couple of relatively recent pics:
  18. Yeah sorry about this I'm really busy at the moment. Please know that the extent of the "hack" or "malware" was the same as before - simply a piece of javascript which redirects users to random websites, not even for phishing usually, just to get them pageviews and ad revenue it seems. It was removed within 24 hours of Google notifying us. We'd actually waited this long to make sure it didn't come back, and in this time we have upgraded both PHP and the IPS forum software itself to the latest and most secure, stable versions. We believe all these factors should permanently fix the problem now. It seems like it was a flaw in IPS 3.x that allowed the malicious content through in the first place. Google has now been notified of its removal so hopefully the warnings will disappear shortly.

  21. Hey @TheBeerHawk will you be getting any of @cloudwaterbrew's DIPA v8 in stock? If so, when?

  22. Today marks the release of Bikers, a big new free DLC for GTA Online. Lots of new content in this one including Motorcycle Clubs, Clubhouses, Businesses, 13 new vehicles, 5 new weapons, loads of new clothes and tats, and a new adversary mode. Probably best to let Rockstar go into detail about all that so check out the Newswire article for more info on that. Trailer below.
  23. [email protected] selection of “back in stock” beers is just one out of stock beer… lol #firstworldanarchy https://t.co/pdAgzzxoXM

  24. Good news for those of you who were fans of The Lost and Damned; the next free DLC update for GTA Online will be in the form of biker gangs. Rockstar haven't given an exact release date for this yet (other than Coming Soon™), here's what they have to say about it: We'll keep you updated as to when we'll be seeing this released in game.
