Richard gere and shilpa shetty kiss

i was look at bbc website and this what it said:

Actor Richard Gere has sparked protests in India after kissing Celebrity Big Brother winner Shilpa Shetty at an Aids awareness rally in New Delhi.

Demonstrators in Mumbai (Bombay) set light to effigies of the Hollywood star, while protesters in other cities shouted "death to Shilpa Shetty".

The protesters said Gere insulted Indian culture by kissing the hand and face of the Bollywood actress.

Public displays of affection and sex are still largely taboo in India.

Shetty downplayed the incident, saying "it was not so obscene".

Shilpa was ordered to appear in the Court and an Arrest warrant has been filed against Gere.

Dunno what happened after that though.

Was it just normal kissing, I guess becuase it is India (religious place) people took offense to it more. But to go for an arest is stupid in my opinion, just slap a huge fine on both of them and they won't do it again

Although Lip Kissing is not usually seen in India.

But,Kissing and that to in an AIDS Awareness function is pretty stupid to me.

Anyways,Fine is not something that will stop celebrities.

SO,i guess something like this will put them in control.

Thats the difference between American Democracy and Indian Democracy.

In America you can Kiss in Public but cant Pee in Public.In India you can Pee in Public but cant Kiss in Public.
