Ivan
In a recent interview with IGN, Cliffy B had something to say about Metal Gear Solid. Hit the jump to read it. "Metal Gear Solid is our example of the game we're not doing. Passive entertainment is on its way out." BTW He's a game lead designer, working on the Gears of War series and the Unreal Tournament one. I was kind of shocked when I saw this, just because his games are about mindless shooting with no smart storyline at all doesn't mean that masterpieces like the MGS games wich are slow paced sometimes and stealthy with an amazing storyline are "passive entertainment". What are your thoughts on this matter? Discuss. Edited June 28, 2008 by IVAN ALEXANDROV
rockstarrem
I don't think he's saying anything wrong nor is he "dissing" it, he's just pointing out that it's an example of a genre that's on it's way out, therefore they're not developing it.
