GTA IV subtitle mod

Hi. I want to translate gta iv subtitles to greek. I tried the sagxteditor to open and modify the american.gxt file but the characters in-game aren't greek (nor english they aren't understandable).

At my regional settings the language for non-unicode programs is set to greek.

Can anyone help?

Strange, might be something to do with how the GXT editor saves the files. If your regional settings are all set up ok then it should be fine.

Have you ever tried putting Greek language into SA? If that worked, then it's obviously a problem with the tool, and perhaps you'll need to wait until someone writes a GTA IV GXT editor.

I haven't try the saeditor at san andreas. It's my first attempt to the modding scene. Thank you for your answer. I guess I will have to wait for a gtaiv editor.
