Druggedbeaver
I'll start off with my specs... Dual(Two) Nvidea 9600GSO's both 1g Intel I7 920 (Quad core, 2.66ghz, 8cpu's) Windows 7 64bit Asus P6T SE Corsair 4096mb ram @ 1333mhz DirectX 11 GTA IV patch 1.0.2.0 Basically, whats happening, is that buildings take a while to load (About 3 seconds after I look in their direction) Roads take about 10 seconds to load (Where the cars are no longer hovering above them, I mean) but they are fine once they are. All the scrollable graphics are to the max (View distance, detail distance etc) vsync on, and that other one next to it, all the low/medium/high graphics are at high, shader detail very high. Runs fine at about 50 fps constantly. Im more than double over the memory limit rockstar THINKS for my system, as I said before, never drops below 50fps. So how would I fix this? If you can confirm I need to patch up, that's fine but I would prefer not doing so, because of my (In the accent of the city wok guy from south park) my CITY internet. But will if I have to. Ty in advance, L EDIT : If over-clocking the processor might help, im sure I can put it to 3-3.2ghz, mayb 3.5-4 if I get my fan from downstairs to put next to the block. JustADummy
Upgrade the patch. Patch 7 is actually good and it's shadows are super detailed so it'll lag a little your config. Also having a SLi config doesn't mean you have DOUBLE memory, lower these settings down, GTA IV isn't optimised for SLi. Even if you have 100 FPS you'll have pop-ins cause of lack of graphics memory.
