airspoon
I started playing TBoGT a couple of days ago and I have been wondering if I'm playing the same game as everyone else. I mean, it's the same game but the various walkthroughs and youtube videos on the internet seem to have a completely different difficulty level and some walkthroughs are almost completely irrelevant. For instance on the mission 'Sexy Time', where you have to blow up the yacht then the arms dealers with the helicopter. Most walkthroughs and YouTube videos says that three rockets would sink the yacht and a burst of gun fire would blow up the boats with the arms dealers. This is not what it took for the TBoGT that I have. It took 22 rocket bursts to sink the yacht and 12 rocket bursts each for the smaller boats carrying the arms dealers (with machine gun fire too!). For this reason, it took me for ever to pass that level. I eventually did, only after hours and hours of replaying the same mission over and over again. It also took several bursst of heli machine gun fire to kill each individual person after the boats had landed and one guy took 3 direct rocket bursts and didn't even die. This mission, 'Sexy Time', was almost impossible to complete. I could understand it being a glitch if that was the only problem but now weapons aren't spawning after I'm completeing the drug wars. I have now completed 11 drug wars and there is no .44 pistol spawning in the safehouse. Is it just me, or am I missing something here? Could it be that I'm on a ps3 and the ps3 version is just much, much more difficult than on other consoles? Am I watching YouTube videos and reading online walkthroughs of a different console, which doesn't apply to the PS3? Could I have just gotten a faulty disc or something? For whatever it's worth, I beat GTAIV and Red Dead Redemption with almost complete ease, so it isn't like I'm just a horrible gameplayer and even if I was, it doesn't explain the weapons not spawning after 10 complete drug wars. I kind of don't even want to continue playing because I have no idea what else is wrong -or different- with this game. Anyway, can someone tell me if I'm missing something or if I just have a deffective game? Thanks. -Me
Ohwell
That's very strange. I've got all the weapons from drug wars without any problem, however I have Episodes from LC for the 360 and not PS3. I really don't know what's going on with your set up unless they possibly changed it to require more drug wars to get the weapon spawns. Also during Sexy Time I didn't have much issue with it. It certainly took me more than 3 rockets to sink the yacht though, but I did notice when my machine gun rounds hit the escaping boats, they exploded quickly, though was hard to hit them. I tried switching to first person view in the helicopter after a while and was finding it a bit easier to hit them, although I nearly landed in the water a few times from not paying attention. Despite that I was still too slow to destroy the third boat and they made it to shore, but instead of trying to take them out with my helicopter I just landed it and got out my sniper rifle and took them out. I think they were running in the direction of the abandoned casino during my mission, so I had a nice clearing for good sniping. The one guy's rocket went off when I sniped him though and it flew right over my head. That was close. lol
at_the_wet_bar
I have this exact same problem but mine is on the 360 version. There is a .44 introduced in the Boulevard Baby mission so.... maybe it will spawn afterwards?
at_the_wet_bar
I finished the Boulevard Baby mission and now have access to the .44 through Armando but it still doesn't spawn at the safe house even though I've completed more than 10 of the drug wars.
