Posted April 18, 2006 Share Posted April 18, 2006 hey guys, i have a copy of GTA SA. that is not retail. anyway when i go into the game the SFX is really low, but it is set to its highest but it will be normal if i hit a pole while driving or a character yells, what can i do to fix this? and please don't tell me to turn the speakers up Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Anyway, if the radio stations and ingame music are ok, probably that .set file in User Files folder is corrupt. Either that or the whole SFX file. Try deleting that .set file (make a backup if you don't want to set controls and settings again). When you restart SA, the game will automaticaly create new .set file (default one) and that ussually helps if you're having problems with game's settings. If this doesn't help, get a 1.1 patch. Posted April 19, 2006 Author Share Posted April 19, 2006 i just noticed something about it when i get close to the car with the mouse (move closer) or closer to carl the sound effects become better but when i o back out it goes really low again! could it have anything to do with me running the no CD patch?
